Casimir & Co will transport diners from the streets of Manhattan to a Parisian bistro clad with rustic wood finishing on the walls, an open kitchen with tempting charcuterie hanging in the window, and daily menus listed on chalk boards. The full service bar is located on the street level with a few high-top tables, and the L-shaped dining room is on the second level surrounded by large windows overlooking Lexington Avenue. Dishes will be rooted in simple and traditionally satisfying bistro fare. The seasonal and affordable menu will rotate daily for lunch, dinner and brunch offering diners a new experience every day.Signature items will remain on the menu, such as the house’s signature dish L'Entrecôte Casimir & Co, a grass fed NY Strip served on a wooden board with a "secret" sauce and homemade frites for a bargain $22. In addition to an outstanding menu, the restaurant also offers a wine and mixology bar on the main floor and outdoor seating for beautiful summers on the patio.
"Excellent food, service was terrific including arranging a table outside for 3. Assiette charcutrie great for sharing, only time I've seen real rillette in NY."

"The place is very nice, especially as we could seat by the large windows which made the place very lighty despite the horrible weather that day, decor is cute, music is nice. Food was OK, I was disapointed by the steak tartare, seasonning was too mustardy and more importantly texture was too mashy : everything, meat, pickles, capers was minced too finely so the whole thing had not crunchy texture at all."

"You will be immediately be transported to Paris when stepping into this restaurant. From the French jazz music serenading you in the background, the waiters conversing in French and the French magazines hanging on the wall, made me feel as if I was in a restaurant in Saint-Germain-des-Prés or on the Boulevard du Montparnasse. Great food and excellent service - we had a large party of 8, and they never skipped a beat. We enjoyed salads and escargot as appetizers. The entree highlights included a "pasta" made out of hearts of palm - unique and delicious, along with the steak tartare prepared table side. We will definitely be back - this place is truly a francophile's in NYC's dream."

"The transition to a new bistro in the spot of a lovely bistro has worked very well. The menu is well edited and smaller. Simple traditional French flair. The steak tartare is prepared at tableside to your specifications and is delicious. Their pomme frites are to die for. The upstairs is quieter and better for dinner. If you want trendy and bar scene then the downstairs and outdoor seating the option to take."

"Inconsistent - tuna carpaccio was very good but the steak, the house special, was only fair. The artichoke was tough and favorless but the steak tartar was a winner. The server was personable and professional but the main courses were delayed by the kitchen. Lots of kinks to work out before I will start recommending it to friends."

"We had a long wait before being seated even though we had a reservation. If you are seated upstairs be dressed for a sauna! We asked for the air conditioner to be turned on twice and were told (after our second request) that the airconditioner was "probably not working." We left before having dessert as the heat upstairs was unbearable. In addition, we asked for bread twice and we were never served bread. In general, this new neighborhood restaurant, although very busy, was a big disappointment. Sadly it replaced a charming, very well run, well staffed restaurant."
