"White table clothes, linens, and proper wine glasses. Attentive service with the best overall menu in Breckenridge. As you might expect with a "Chop House", the ala carte menu is expensive but worth it!!!

Missed the outstanding overall rating because we felt ignored some of the time by server-we were among the first to be seated as we had early reservations. "Dining at Briar Rose was a wonderful experience in every aspect. Pleasant, comfortable atmosphere not requiring patrons to dress up. Everyone on the staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Our filet mignon and lobster tail were delicious, and the chef was willing to prepare sauteed spinach for us rather than creamed. They graciously provided a yummy chocolate desert for our 13-year olds birthday celebration. Would definitely return when in Breckenridge."

"We really enjoyed our last night in Breck by dining at Briar Rose. The service was perfect, very knowledgable server, with just the right amount of attention. When a table of 12 came in, our server sent over his back up to make sure our little table of 4 did not go unnoticed. The NY Strip,Lamb Chops and Veal tbone were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Mac n cheese is a must as well. Would definitely visit againg."

"Looking at the outside I wouldn't have chosen this place. Its bright pink, so really hard to miss when looking for it. We arrived a few minutes early and had our table waiting for us. The menu is small, but well thought out with a variety of seafood, steaks, and game meats (elk). A great variety of sides from Mac N Cheese (amazing) to whipped mashed potatoes (also amazing) which are served family style and in large quantities. The food is amazing and perfectly prepared, served hot and on time.
The wine list is quite large and has something for everyone. The cocktail menu is decent, as well. My favorite drink was the Blackberry Briar. Overall, a fantastic place for drinks, dining and dessert! I will definitely go back"

"Food was outstanding. We had a group of 6 with a 6:45 reservation (necessary during peak season in Breckenridge) and we were seated immediately at a very spacious and comfortable table as soon as we arrived. We had the beef ribeye, the buffalo ribeye, the beef fillet, the elk, the rack of lamb and the monk fish special. All were outstanding and prepared exactly as we ordered them. We also ordered several sides which were very good as well. We all especially enjoyed their house special mac & cheese. The Briar Rose is a bit pricey but everyone felt it was well worth it. If you do go, ask for the card that tells the history of the Briar Rose mine (which is located on peak 10) and the building that the restaurant is located in."

"We were here on a Thursday night with our two teenagers for our "nice" night out while in town. Both kids, and my husband and I thought it was excellent. The kids even said that it was the best meal they ever had. The atmosphere is charming, small, and with the feeling of an old Victorian home. The bar was more rustic with animal heads on the walls and a beautiful wooden bar. The service was top notch Food here is creative, with several options for local wild game, yet also offering plenty of options for those who don't care for that type of food. It is not inexpensive, dinner for the four of us with appetizers , drinks, and dessert was almost $300. But was it worth it? Yes it was!"

"The is a very good reason why Rose Chophouse is recognized as the best restaurant in Breckenridge. The food is excellent as is the atmosphere and service. My children are more adventous than I am. One had a buffalo steak, the other had elk, they couldn't stop raving. I had the prime rib. The portion was was overly generous, so I was able to make sandwiches for the flight home.For what they offer, the prices are resonable. My only recommendation is that you save your appetite, gp amd enjoy!!"

"While my filet mignon was delicious, the buffalo ribeye was a bit fatty. The mac and cheese was "to die for", and not to be missed. The wine selection was very good. Overall a very good restaurant that we would visit again."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Briar Rose. We went there because of the positive reviews and so my husband could eat wild game and we were not disappointed. Our waiter, Dominic was great. He was friendly, attentive and helpful with recommendations. He recommended the mac and cheese as a side and it was excellent! Although the prices are steep, it was not unexpected and in line with other high end steak houses."

"The atmosphere was just okay. It would have been nice to see out of the windows to see the snow. The windows were very foggy so we could not see out of them at all. I had a filet was one of the best I’ve ever had but my wife had Trout almondine which she did not like it as she thought it had been frozen. We have been here is past years and she loved that same dish.
Everything was a bit pricy so the seafood should have been better.
The service was very good although we had to wait a bit to order our first drink."

"Fantastic meal! We were a group of 6 and requested a round table, which they were able to accommodate....which was much appreciated. We ordered steak tartare, pork belly, elk, duck, kobe, steaks, mac n cheese, lyonnaise potatoes, creamed spinach....ALL phenomenal and enjoyed by us all. Will definitely return!"

"Excellent food and service....especially enjoyed the pork belly appetizer and truffle oil blue cheese sauce for my steak. Loved the fact that the dress code was casual yet food ,service and atmosphere was not!!!! Perfect "splurge " choice during our ski vacation. Will recommend to anyone visiting Breck!"
