Avanti, a Valley tradition since 1974. . . Dramatic, crisp black and white interiors, candlelight and a quiet atmosphere. Italian favorites with a Mediterranean influence. Vegetarians and Seafood lovers will be awed by the selections of homemade pasta from deliciously light Gnocchi Alfredo, Eggplant and Meat Lasagna, to seasonal hand crafted Ravioli. Fresh Fish and seafood dishes vary- from a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail to an Italian crafted Cioppino. Avanti has also garnered numerous awards and accolades for our Ossobucco, said to be the best in town as well as robust steaks and chops (lamb and pork). Afterwards,enjoy dessert and Cappuccino in the piano bar sweets that are carefully guarded family recipes include, Tiramisu, Cannoli, Creme Brulee with a crunchy burnt sugar crust and Spanish inspired Flan that has a creamy custard caramelized top but if your passionate about chocolate the chocolate mousse is infused with rum and whipped so fluffy and light you'll swear it's heaven sent!

"My husband, daughter and I went to celebrate husband's birthday. It was a big bill but the food was good and interesting. There were few people in the restaurant and it was very quiet but it was Good Friday so maybe not good representation. Not much to look at from the outside but bigger and nicer on the inside. "The service startewd off well. As the night continued it fell apart. The server had too many tables (9 at one point) for a busy Valentines. Calamari was simple but fresh, main course tasted good but my wife and daughter's was at room temp. However, if the lamp chops had come out hot they would of been delish (flavor was there). Overall, it was a bad management decision to over load waiter. He apoligized for service. If I were to recommend Avanti's it would be on a slow night were they had time to take care of you. Oh yeah, the bar area looks like it was designed by an old school mafia boss with neon light and piano in the dining room."

"I MUST SAY I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE AT AVANTI. THE FOOD WAS DELICOUS, BUT THE SERVICE AND MANNERISMS OF OUR WAITER WAS VERY OFF PUTTING. IT’S THE SMALL THINGS THAT MATTER MOST, AND AT A REASTURANT LIKE THIS IT’S A BIG DEAL. I FEEL WHEN YOU GO TO A NICE DINNER YOU SHOULD BE CATERED TO AND THE SERVICE SHOULD BE GREAT. OUR WAITER WAS VERY UNFRIENDLY AND RUDE. IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS LIKE FAILING TO LIGHT THE CANDLE AT OUR TABLE, OR HIS UNFRIENDLY DIMENOR WHEN ASKED A QUESTION ABOUT WINES."

"was disappointed with the food. especially the creme brulee - it was more a pudding than a custard, and it was partially burnt rather than golden brown. obviously the last course left a lasting impression.
the service was very good. the noise was quiet as the restaurant is really set back from the street. the background music was very nice. perhaps another reason for being quiet was there was only two other tables being served."
