We of Nanking Restaurant welcome our loyal customers to experience the hospitality of this ancient city of China!
Nanking is a city about equal distance from Canton and Peking. In 1842, after Nanking was captured by the British, Sir Henry Pottinger signed the Nanking treaty.
What followed thereafter was an era where various eating places opened up for visitors to enjoy the hospitality of this region. The food was modified to suit the palate of the visitors, in order to entice them to come back to these eating places.
This "Fusion" cuisine became very popular. It is our humble endeavor at Nanking Restaurant to bring you the same historical "Fusion" taste and hospitality from ancient China.
We extend a very warm welcome to you and will make every effort to make your visit enjoyable and memorable!
"We went to Nanking right before the play "Wicked" which is a half block away. The service was attentive and quick. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. Good for a quick good meal before a show."

"A Chinese named restaurant with a very all around Asian cuisine of Chinese, Thai, and Indian dishes. Nothing stood out as spectacular. Sauces overly sweet or salty. Best part of the evening was the company!"

"The food was listed as fusion so we had no trouble finding good meals. Large selection. Save room for dessert and chai tea. Service was much better than we expected in a place in the theatre district - very attentive."

"Good food and excellent service. Location makes Nanking an excellent spot for dinner before evening theater or post matinee. A table by the window affords fun "people watching" as people make their way to nearby theaters."

However, this place scams out of towners. The four of us were charged 30% tip onto our check. The place is in Times Square NYC and the place was full of tourists. Times Square is full of scammers, trying to cheat unsuspecting out of towners."
