"Not knowing too much about this restaurant before (shied away from the on line reviews) and ventured into the unknown this past Saturday evening. What an exceptional delight! The food was magnificent, the service was exceptional and the ambience was romantic. I will go back in a heartbeat. The menu had many interesting entrees and I would like to eventually try them all. What a wonderful dining experience. Thank you Biagio!"

"I have been here at least 3 times, maybe 4 now. All i know is I never leave unsatisfied, unhappy or with a complaint at all. The food is amazing. I had a linguine with pesto sauce yesterday, it was the special, i never order specials but here they always sound so good, and then they are! The head chef always comes to check on us, the staff is friendly and attentive and i love the atmosphere. The maitre d (not sure if thats his actual title) makes sure our wine glasses stay full and he seems to recognize me when I arrive. I just love this place!"

"The food was wonderful, but it was too busy. People were running around, so much that we could not enjoy our meal. We felt sooo rushed, the bus boys were making us feel very uncomfortable because they were rushing around so much. We won't go back, I want my dining expierece to be a relaxed one."

"My dining experience last night at Biagio's Osteria was fantastic. The last time I was there back in January, I had a bad service experience. Last night made up for it. The food was excellent as always and the service was amazing. Mike was very attentive and took really good care of us. The "Wine Guy" recommended an excellent wine that we loved. My friend wanted a tub of the Parmesan Grits because...and I quote...it was the greatest thing she had ever tasted. Love this restaurant and I feel like going there on a Friday is the way to go - not as busy so really fun and relaxed. Thank you Mike and thank you Biagio - it was first rate"

"This is a great restaurant for a special occasion dinner. It is not the place for a business lunch. I've recently had both experiences there and the food was always very good but the service was different. At a dinner for 10 we had very efficient and attentive service but at lunch, yikes. Our party of 3 was served by one waiter who mumbled the specials, took our orders and then disappeared! I had to go track him down to get our bill. If you only have an hour for lunch, this is not the place to go."

"Awesome! From the greeting when we first walked in, to the fabulous, delicious food, it is one of the best restaurants we've been to. The service was amazing. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He made us feel as if we were his only customers.The food, from the appetizers to deserts, was delicious and plated beautifully.
This restaurant could easily be a five star restaurant in Mid Town Manhattan. So happy its right here in Connecticut."

"Althogh the restaurant was very crowded - it was Valentine's weekend - the staff handled themselves fantastic. I was afraid we would get put in the outside area where it was very noisy but the maitre'd gave us an excellent table for two in the smaller dining room! There was a waiting line when we arrived but we didn't have to wait long for our reservation. There really isn't any place to wait (standing room only at the front entrance). The restaurant is small and intimate with nice ambiance."

"It was very crowded. The service was very slow. We ordered wine and it was not even brought to us until after the appetizer and salad. I ordered the salmon special and it was over cooked and very dry. I sent it back. I had the chicken and it was much better, but the portion was very small."

"We've been to this restaurant many times & have always loved the food. This time was a disapointment because it was a special occasion and we requested a quiet table on the reservation which was ignored entirely. We were put in a room with a large, loud birthday party, at a table that was between a door to the bar and a door to the other dining room. I couldn't hear my husband speak. We were finally offered another table but it wasn't until our food had come, and at that point, it would have been very disruptive. The hostess that's usually there was off--I think the brother of the chef was in charge. What he should have done was told us what the wait would have been for a quieter table when we walked in. Not sure we'll go back now."

"I feel the service was only adquate. I feel they did not pay much attention to a group of 5. Too much of 'take one order of drinks' at a time. Did deliver a drink we did not order. Picked up our appetizers before we were done.
However, the appetizers and main courses were excellent. The desserts were so-so."

"The food was fantastic but the waiter we had was horrible and completely ignored us to the point that another waiter noticed and came and asked if we needed anything. I would go back there but would not want that waiter again. He also seemed distracted when he was at our table (the few times that he was there)"
