"The food was excellent. The atmosphere was very nice. The outside area is great. The service was excellent with the exception of them forgetting to put our entree order in. The manager came by to inform us and was very professional and apologetic. They bought our first round of drinks. Even though they made a pretty big mistake I would still recommend this restaurant."

"Have been there a few times and the food is always very good. First time I ordered the sushi- we ordered a couple rolls as an appetizer. It was amazing! They bring the fish in fresh from NY everyday. Will definitely be ordering sushi every time I go from now on!"

"Service was slow little slow considering restaurant was empty when we arrived.
Bar: Warm tap beer Appetizers: Mushroom leek tart was tasty, savory -Good The Tuna Tartare - the tuna was tasteless and the greens over powered the tuna.
Main courses: Veal special was nicest dish served, but was not tender and nothing on the plate really distinguished itself. The two Sushi rolls ordered (Front and Gold Street rolls) were disappointing. The fish was tasteless and the toasted seeds (sesame?) or something else over powered the roll and made the two rolls taste almost identical were it not for the Avocado slices on one.
After dinner when asked how the meal was, our answer was disappointing. When asked if we would go back and we both said no."

"I'd highly recommend Red - the menu choices and food were second to none. Service was very good and the upstairs area where we ate was quiet and romantic."

"Another really good meal at Red. Filet butter soft and cooked just right. Fixed price seafood menu a really nice addition. Our waiter Simon always great. We ask for him each time we go to Red. The busboy David is very efficient. Will be back again soon."

"I was alittle disappointed with my first visit to Red. I was there on a Monday evening and the restaurant was not that busy at all. The service was mediocre at best. There were three people in my party. We were seated right away with a reservation. That was the best part of the experience. It took our server at least 15-20 minutes to come over to our table and to get our drink order. Our server was not very attentive to our dinner experience. We ordered an appetizer to split between two and put in our dinner orders. The dinner orders were brought out ahead of the appetizer. We questioned the server who had to go back to the kitchen and bring out the appetizer. Our dinners were brought back to the kitchen to sit under a light!"

"The food at Red was outstanding, however, the service was fair at best. Our server was cool and seemingly disinterested in our table. We did not feel welcome or wanted at this resaurant. When paying around $40.00 per person on average without liquor, you expect your server to respond to simple requests when you make them. You should not need to ask twice for simple things like water, etc, especially when you are 1 of maybe 5 tables being served."

"Arrived at 5:15 for 5:30 Pm dinner reservation on Saturday evening. Decided to enjoy a cocktail first. Hostesses checked every couple of minutes to see if we had finished our drinks so they could hustle us to our table in the mostly empty dining room. At precisely 5:30 they came in and insisted we go to our table immediately because they had later bookings. We felt like we were being rushed through our entire meal. Ordered sushi but the unspoken message was that that better be all we wanted because there would be no opportunity to order more. By the time we left, the place was still close to empty. Food okay but we didn't get to enjoy our meal. Too many better options within walking distance to put up with the attitude. Won't return."

"We went to Red before a show at the Count. It was a 6PM and it was not very busy. We sat in an upstairs area over looking the diningrom downstairs. It was very nice. We had the duck lettuce wraps that were wonderful. I had the veggie strudel, GREAT. My husband had the pork snitzel. It was a very large portion, but he forced himself to eat it all. He said it was to good to leave any. We also shared the fried brussel sprouts. WOW- more please! We were to full to even look at the desert menu. We made it in pleany of time for the show."

"Red is a very nice restaurant in the heart of Red Bank NJ. It is a bit more expensive the most in the area, and we did not find it worth the extra money. The food was fine, the service was terrific and the place itself was interesting, but it could have been a touch better if it had been less pricey. We had appetizers and salads and dinner, no dessert. I suspect only the duck was worth raving about. Two of us had scallops and the third had a steak and they were okay, not great We will probably not go here again because there are so many good restaurant in town that are not that pricey."

"Went on a Saturday night, 630 pm. Arrived on time and was promptly seated. Well-prepared, quality food. Shared an appetizer, salad and each had an entree--no room for dessert! Service was good, but dinner flow was a little slow. Disappointed that an appetizer special was "sold out" at 7pm, however the fried oyster appetizer recommended by the server was quite good. Pork chop special was perfectly done, served with lentils and squash, excellent. A little on the pricey side--$85 for two, but will likely go back sometime in the future."

"My husband and I had our Valentine's day dinner at Red. We arrived early to have a few martinis ..the mango martini wad splendid..beforehand and were surprised to find we were seated early. The drinks were very good as were the appetizers. It took a little longer then we would have liked for our entrees to arrive but it was worth the wait. The food was excellent. The ambiance was perfect low lit and romantic. Candles and roses on each table as well. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the proximity to other tables where we were seated, a little bit too close for my taste, but all in all we had a very nice time. We will definitely return but will request a different table location for more privacy."
