"We love their LA restaurant, and were pleasantly surprise there was a NY owned restaurant as well.....great night, great food, great neighborhood location, and the staff was just fantastic-"

"We really enjoyed Mother's Day brunch at Kingswood. All of the options were delicious and we were very satisfied with our "Big Breakfast" (eggs, bacon, maple sausage, potatoes, biscuit!), French toast with caramelized bananas, and Eggs Benedict (although I wish that had been served on a biscuit.) The ambiance was lovely and I especially appreciated how it was not loud at all - we could actually hear each other and pleasant music in the background. We will be back!"

"I keep coming back to Kingswood for the food but I think I might have to stop because of the service. I understand it is an extremely popular place and Saturday nights are probably their busiest, but something's gotta give. Our food and drinks (even just beer) took forever to come, we had two different versions of the menu (and not enough for each of us to have our own), and generally we just had to wait a long time between courses and to get anyone's attention. Our waitress was lovely but clearly overworked- at one point the hostess was filling water glasses and distributing food."

"A real shame. Staff made us feel like we were intruding on a private party they we holding. We got our food so quickly we barely had time to digest it.
The staff were holding there own little menu tasting and cocktail tasting party at one end of the bar and our waitress would go and have a sip of her cocktail and dig into the bounty of food lashed out on their table to head back to us to let us know how great the place was and see that we were loving it.
We didn't and unfortunately for the owners we had come in from Sydney to check what the boys from Sydney had to offer and were ready to settle in and spend up. We left as soon as the bill was thrown at us were told to have a great night.
All up we give Kingswood a 2/10."

"I've been to Kingswood several times and always enjoy it but this time was a nightmare.
We came for a later brunch (2:30) and it felt like our waitress had no idea what she was doing. Everything took forever (despite the fact that it was an off time and it was pretty slow) We waited over 1/2 hour for our first round of drinks, the kitchen was out of avocado toast but our waitress never told us... she would disappear for long times or be standing idly and we'd have to flag her down to attempt to get some service. Not sure if she was having a bad day, but she was mind-blowingly terrible.
The food was good and the drinks were yummy - as always... but our experience with this waitress was so bad."

"The hostess was great and very accommodating as our party changed from 5 to 7. The food was delicious just overpriced (as were the drinks) and I was a bit disappointed after eating a tiny $14 salad. I would not go back."

"Though the food was good, the atmosphere was more like a bar than a restaurant. Would only recommend eating during the day if you want to talk to your companion(s)."

"Went here for Easter Sunday brunch. We were seated at a communal table which isn't my favorite but was fine for our group of 5. The banana bread was the best part. The main brunch entrees of omelettes and fried egg sandwiches were what you would expect. Everyone enjoyed the brunch drinks as well."

"I came on a Saturday at 11am for brunch with a girlfriend and we were one of the first parties to be seated. I'd probably wait until 12-1 to make a brunch res next time. Despite the quieter start, the food was SUPER YUMMY! Love Kingswood!"

"The first thing that struck me was the lighting - natural, diffused light. The beautiful ambiance sets the scene for a lovely meal. Interesting, creative selection of choices and the food was well prepared and displayed. I found the service was excellent - no rush but well cared for. Wish I had known about it long ago."

"Simply an epic Valentine's day. Service, food, ambiance was absolutely great. I was happy to pay for the wine and 4 courses of food that was handled excellently for someone with specific allergies."

"arrived there on time and was seated immediately, although the host had an attitude, the decor is amazing very amazon outdoorsy, like your sitting inside of a botanical garden with bug and butterfly pictures all over the wall, BUT we sat their for at least 15 minutes before we got water or even a waiter came over, we had to flag down a bus boy to just get water and the bread for the table came 30 minutes later. the portions are SMALL, although tasty, i won't pay again 32 for a petite hanger steak again. the appetizers were even smaller but reasonably priced. overall the decor is amazing but the service is POOR, and the wine list is small and the seating is so close to one another i knocked over a candle trying to squeeze out of my seat ."

"My husband and I had dinner at Kingswood on a Friday night at 7:00pm. The ambiance is wonderful -- cozy, natural, and warm. The food is delicious. Fresh and proper portions. Tables are a bit close together, but that's to be expected in NYC. Overall, I was very pleased and we really enjoyed ourselves."

"Kingswood is a great little place. The noise level only started picking up towards the end of the evening as it got fuller, but compared to other NYC restaurants this wasn't too loud. The food was tasty and very inventive, although very small for the price tag - ouch! We were dissapointed that they only had 3 wines available on their winelist, and then the wine they did have (Australian Shiraz) we wanted to order another bottle of - they ran out of. Considering they are an Australian owned I would've expected Kingswood to have a fabulous wine list. They need to get that fixed."

"We had to wait for almost 2 hours after our reservation time to be seated and then were told that the kitchen was closing in 10mins so order quickly. Food was passable, my truffle fries were stone cold. My partner did like her steak though.
But to be honest by the time we actually sat down, the experience was pretty much kaput. They gave us a glass of bubbles about 1 hour through the waiting ordeal as a sorry - that is something I suppose."
