Chef Marc Mazzarulli of Opus 465 has opened Marc Charles Steakhouse located on the premise of the La Quinta Hotel in Armonk. In this newly renovated space, Mazzarulli, focuses on quality cuts of beef, chops and seafood. Here patrons can customize their steaks with a variety of ‘accents’, ‘accessories’ and sides. The location is also home to M.C. Bar & Lounge which offers a more casual dining menu and Occasions by Marc Charles, an extensive banquet and meeting facility.
"We all have an off night. Unfortunately, our dinner at Marc Charles was so off that it will be our last visit. Selected because we have enjoyed the restaurant in the past, virtually every aspect of a special occasion dinner was off. The preparation of the sea bass was salty over cooked and over powered by a heavy sauce. The steak special to be prepared as medium rare was also over cooked and not eaten. Other steaks were plated with out any garnish and were visually unappealing. Gelato desserts were frozen solid in their vessels and obviously not recently prepared.
This restaurant gets two stars for food preparation with little appeal and four stars for cost."

"Everything we had was perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere was great - especially the fire place & warm hues the dining room was in, We had a cozy corner table. Tables are spaced so you can have an intimate meal. It was RW & our first time at MC. I will definitely return. The food was outstanding. My salad w/calamari had a delicious homemade dressing. The steak was lean, tender & cooked perfectly. I loved the bacon horseradish crust. The flavors were amazing together. Our waitor was classy & so professional- but even more so considerate. He went above and beyond to accomodate me as I was avoiding dairy. Lastly the cocktails- So many good ones to choose from. The Vanilla Kiss was my favorite. I look forward to returning!"

"Strange location in an office park, but you enter a serene visual interior with an intimate waiting areas to relax by the fire or fountains down the walls. Far more inviting than a stuffy steakhouse atmosphere. Dining area is quiet and we were seated in a corner table by the main fire place.
Appitizers were crispy calamare salad and a small lamb chop with a rich reduction around a creamy spittzle. The crusted tri tip steal was perfectly grilled & the papardelle & lamb shank flavor was full bodied. Italian cheesecake was traditional, but the rice pudding could have been more interesting
Lovely attentive service as well.."

"Very disappointing. After being introduced to MC 3 yrs ago during HV restaurant week it quickly became our favorite steak house. We're frequent patrons and its become a tradition to visit during HVRW. This year we brought a group of friends hoping to turn them on to this hidden gem. Instead it was embarrassing. The service was terrible. It started with needing another minute to decide on wine and not seeing our server again for 20 mins. That tone continued throughout the evening; forgotten bottles of wine; not enough steak knives; and a prolonged delay for everything including the check. The food also fell short. Much smaller portions than previous HVRW and 2 very over cooked steaks (which would have been sent back had anyone checked on us"

"The Marc Charles salad and NY Strip steak I had were good. The steak was aged and cooked medium rare the way I asked. I didn't care for the taste of the creamed spinach and the onion strings were hard to eat. They may wish to review their sides and try for some improvement. The drink, Mint Julep was fine."

"Although our waitress was very nice, she did not know what cut(s) the tri-tip steak was. The restaurant had come highly recommended and I was very disappointed with the food. Although the calamari appetizer was tender, it was not crispy as advertised. The lamb chops were miniscule although tasty. Although the tri-tip steak was ample, it was chewy. The worst part of the meal, however, was the salmon, which arrived very overcooked and firm. The manager did offer to replace it with a new piece, but I did not wish to take home leftover fish. I hope we just had an off night, but I would not go back."

"As far as we are concerned, this is our favorite restaurant head and shoulders above all others including all of Westchester, Fairfield County and yes, NYC. Yes, Smith & Wolinsky may be the most booked, but as far as service and food, MC has no equal."

"Went here with the girls to celebrate a few Birthdays and an anniversary. Good time, good food & a lot of laughs. The service was friendly & attentive. Majority of food was very tasty however we did have a couple of issues with two orders (a pork chop that just wasn't right & an over-done hollandaise) the waiter was quick to make substitutions and assured us that the bill would be adjusted accordingly. The house made sambuca was Delicious! Nice setting and as we went on a holiday Monday at 6 we nearly had the place to ourselves. Extensive menu so I'd go back or recommend."
