"Everything was fine, except that we were seated at an extra table obviously brought in for Mother's Day. And, that was OK, except for the chairs. These were wooden, folding chairs, very low to the ground, and VERY uncomfortable. The food was great, the service was good, but we didn't linger over a second drink or desert because we had to get out of those chairs!"

"My husband and I thought it would be a nice place to take my mom for Mother's Day. We always found it to be a nice place with pretty good food and good service. Last Sunday our food was fair at best and our service was slow. We had a party of 8 and our table was put in a very inconvenient location. Often when a party was seated they were taken past our table and had to squeeze between us and a booth. The space was so tight that people kept kicking my mom's chair and hitting her when they walked by--not the experience we were hoping to give her. Also our food took an extremely long time to come out. I understand on busy days that it will take longer than normal but this was excessive. Not a good experience overall."

"First time we have ever tried the ribs and they are fabulous. Service was (as it always is) top notch. Would like the pizza better if the thin crust wasn't limp.....would also love to see more sandwiches/appetizers for late night.."

"The food was very good. I had the lump crab cakes which were excellent, my companion had the petite filet which was very good. The crab cakes were served with a tomato relish that was similar in taste to the dipping sauce that was serve with bread. The dish also had salad greens, I am not sure they were the best accompaniment but were ok. The petite filet was cooked as ordered, and served with crisp cooked veggies and a good baked potato. By good I mean light and fluffy not starchy. I ordered a manhattan on the rocks to start which was served straight up in a martini glass. It tasted as if dry vermouth was used instead of sweet. The manager was quick to replace the drink. The calamari appetizer was excellent, crisp and chewy."

"The noise level in the large room we were in was so high, we could hardly carry on a conversation without raising our voices. We will definitely go back again, however will ask for a small side room which should be less "energetic"."

"The Cuban sandwich was not good. The pork was dry and overlooked, tough! I was expecting the same quality that I had at Stone Creek. Unfortunately I paid $15.00 for a very bad sandwich. The cook had to know when cutting the pork."

"They did it again...turned an ordinary Friday night let's-grab-dinner into a special meal. Service was outstanding with waitress, Kim, open to our pacing needs (slower than they CAN serve). We enjoy a relaxed pace. Shrimp cocktail is always a great start with warm bread and dipping oil. We always enjoy their specials--this time a shrimp/scallop combo with fried potato and delicious sauce. So nice to go out for dinner and feel an ordinary dinner is a special occasion!"

"First time at this restaurant. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We first were brought into the bar and asked to be moved. Girl was nice and obliging. Server was very friendly and nice. The best part was the food! The best tasting food we had tasted in awhile (very flavorful). We enjoyed every course! Bill was about $80 for 2 with a drink, salad, appetizer and main course. Only complaint was noisy atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will be back."

"Saturday busy night obviously. Hostess seemed pre occupied in her brain although we had reservations. Ended up in the bar which was fine but the absolute farthest spot from the kitchen, so the server was doing wind sprints with food, bread and wine. She worked hard and was very busy. "The service was a little off, and the cost of the food should have included more than a tiny portion of fish (maybe 4 oz at most). The cost of the food was over $20 for the meal and we were not full when we left.

We won't be recommending this restaurant nor will we be back. It is NOT a good place to take family as it is way too pricey for what you get."

"My fiancé and I love Charbono's. We have been there twice now in a month and plan on making this "our special place" to go out and eat. "First time there. Good food, not too pricey. I had the Prime Rib which was a very nice cut. Not as much fat as one normally finds on the 16oz. portion. No one had any complaints on the different meals. All in all worth a second chance for special occasions."

"A rare off night for Charbonos. Delicious shrimp and scallops but side dishes were cold. Restaurant not terribly crowded yet our very sweet waitress took a long time just to bring water and return for the order. Strangely it seems when they are busy everything flows better. We are regulars and know next time it will be fine."

"We eat here a lot...it is one of our favorites....but the last few times we have been very disappointed with the service. Phrases from the servers such as, "We're really busy" or "We're swamped tonight" get old really quick. It's a restaurant and it's a weekend - you should be busy, you should be able to handle busy. If more servers are needed - hire some. Last Saturday we had a party of 8 (with reservations) and we were seated at a flimsy plastic table (the ones you can buy at Sam's for $39.99) really meant for 6 people - maybe this was because it was Valentines day weekend, I don't know. No one seemed to know who our server was and everything just took a lot longer than it should. I think it comes down to organization and management."

"I made my reservation over a month in advance only to have to stand in an overly crowded foyer for nearly 35 minutes. when my wife and I were about to leave they "squeezed us in" and sat us down by the bar. My wife had two drinks and neither was good, however we should have known this when her first choice of drink the waitress advised against saying that they didn't make those well. The food was the only saving grace, as a chef it is hard for me to find food to meet my standards of quality, this did. not over the top, but it was prepared well. overall the experience was not good and I will not recommend Charbonos in the future."

"Made reservations for 6pm for valentines day at least a month in advance. Upon arrival the place was packed as anticipated. We waited about 15 minutes, but was pleased with the way they were clearing and seating people as fast as possible. While there was a lot of people without reservations who had to wait, those with reservations waited also (we waited 15 minutes) but the staff was seating people quickly and managing the large crowd very well.
