For outstanding Italian cuisine, look no further than Palermo's 95th. This family run, award winning restaurant specializes in authentic veal, steak, pasta, and fresh seafood creations for lunch and dinner. Established in 1961 by Ben and Nina Calderone, the family tradition still continues thru their sons, Anthony and William.
Sherman Kaplen of WBBM radio says, "Palermo's 95th is a true diamond among the southwest side Italian restaurants!" The grilled shrimp and calamari and the 8-finger cavetelli are outstanding. Plus check out their extensive wine and martini list. Featured on WTTW Check Please!
"We made a reservation for 7:00pm because we needed to leave at 8:30pm. When we arrived the Hostess and the manager acted as though we had no reservation. So we gave them the print out we made proving it. Even with that they still did not seat us, a small group of three, for half an hour. And even then it was probably because we complained to the hostess. Our waitress was very understanding and brought us our food as soon as possible, but the manager and the hostesses were not helpful and did not take responsibility for their problem on their end."

"Three of us went for someone's birthday. The waiter seemed to be new, but was ok the majority of the night. The food was amazing! We all loved our entrees! The problem came with the bill. We asked for the bill to be split on two credit cards. 10 minutes after he took our credit cards, we thought it was strange he had not been back to ask us to sign. We looked around, and saw many employees, including who we assume is the manager, messing with the register. Another 10 minutes later, he came back to the table, and said he "accidentally put it all on one credit card, so we would have to figure out how to pay the other". His initial quote was so shockingly rude - no appology, just we should figure it out."

"Our greeter never looked up from her phone, texting all the while she talked to us. The pizza was okay, the appetizers were good. The salad tasted like it came out of a bag from the grocery store."

"We like going to Palermo's. My mom is visiting, she wanted to eat Italian cuisine, and my friend who likes pizza who's coming for a visit from another suburb enjoyed the food and the restaurant a lot. We ended up staying longer than we would have for a Saturday night dinner. We were relaxed and we had a great time catching up and telling stories. The XL Pizza with all the fresh ingredients and delicious sauce was so good. We were even able to take food home. We enjoyed it the next day! We will definitely go back to Palermo's on 95th Street. There is a very good reason why they are still open since 1961. Thank you for being a wonderful neighborhood gem Palermo's on 95th. Keep up the great job everyone!"

"We used the online reservations and was impressed with our wait time considering how busy you were, and our service was good, but that's we're it ends. We were not happy with the pizza! My husband grew up on Palermo's pizza and was so excited to take us to his "favorite" pizza place, especially after seeing it on Chicago's Best, but we were all disappointed in it. The cheese was barely melted and the sauce had no taste. Can't say we'd take the drive to Palermo's anymore, which is disappointing but it just isn't worth it."

"Outstanding and authentic Italian food. Generous Calamari, delicious dressings for salad and one of the best Pizza's in Chicago!!!!! This place is an institution!!!!! Service the way it should be, friendly, efficient. A well run bus staff for clearing tables and keeping water in your glass. A great experience and better than ever!!!!!"

"One of my favorite Italian restaurants. The only thing that they are terrible at is honoring your reservation time. For example if your reservation is at 7:30pm you wont be seated until 8:00pm. This has happened on more than one occasion. So have a snack before you go if your hungry!"

"We have been to Palermo's many times. Though it was Valentine's Day, we were able to get in and have a good dinner with my sisters. As usual, the antipasto and calamari were excellent. While my favorite here is the veal marsala, we opted for the thin crust pizza. The sauce is a little sweet but goes well with the thin crust, cheese and toppings. We also ordered a small spinach pizza that was excellent. The meal, atmosphere and service were all above average."

"1st time at Palermo's on 95th. My husband who is Italian is very picky on eating at Italian resturants, but we both enjoyed our meals. My son loved his pizza. Will be back!"

"We absolutely loved this place. Started dinner off with a bottle of wine, Tameri Malbec; ordered the fried calamari which was great. It was fresh; the cocktail sauce was good, not overpowering with horseradish. We ordered a large thin & crispy style Veggie Garden Special pizza which has green peppers, mushrooms, broccoli and zucchini. It was cooked to perfection. The crust and veggies were not soggy. A big plus with us since we are big pizza critics. We did not try dessert although looking at the menu we will be back. Colleen was our server, very personable, friendly and attentive. I love Aurelio’s pizza and Palermo’s pizza has topped it in my book which is saying a lot."

"We love Palermo's and keep coming back again and again. No matter which dish it is that we try, there is always more than enough to take home leftovers and plenty to keep your stomach full. Thanks Palermo's for always being a great part of our dates!"
