"Although my last experience was not the best experience I have ever had at The Tobacco Company, I fell that visiting Richmond without going to dinner there would be like going to Cairo and not visiting the pyramids.
I do feel that the menu and preparation of the food was a little lacking compared to previous dining experiences as well as the sophomoric attitude of our waitress."

"We hadn't been in a few years & thought the brunch at The Tobacco Company may enhance her Mother's Day. Boy were we wrong!!! Not only was TC everything it always had been in terms of quality and ambiance, but she was over the moon with our choice nd relived a lot of very happy memories through out a delicious meal. She chose the Prime Rib as did two others in our party while I had the crab cakes. It was all spectacular and we are actively planning our next visit back to TC."

"interesting environment to take my college grad son before his big day. We had crab soup for appetizer and it was fair/good it could have used a nice slash on good sherry on top to really enhance the flavor and give it a kick. He had a steak that was a little rare by the time he got to the bone. But flavor was good. I had scallops that were delicious. I would definitely go back"

"This was our third or fourth time with the Tobacco Company, and they have yet to disappoint. The food was delicious, the service was great, the wine was great... everything definitely met expectations. The only reason this review gives a 4 instead of a 5 is that the quality of ingredients and size of portions on the Restaurant Week menu was not quite the best value given the price. There are better deals out there, but this was still a great experience and we will definitely be back again."

"The food and service were wonderful as usual. The band playing in the main floor bar area was wonderful, however the volume was so high it hit the obnoxious level. We were a floor up from the band, but couldn't talk; in fact the volume was so high that we had to concentrate to determine if they were even good-not a good thing for the band or the Tobacco Company. Most of the other tables were obviously bothered by it as well to the point that people were commenting between tables. This experience was so negative that I may have to remove the Tobacco Company from my list of favorite places, but I'd like to give them a try again because otherwise it's a wonderful place."

The restuarant was cool and somewhat drafty making it uncomfortable for those without a coat or sweater. The restaurant is generally a little dark. The stained wood interior, although attractive, seems to consume much of the light available from the many windows on every floor of the restaurant."
