Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing is pleasantly situated on the water next to the ferry dock in historic Mukilteo, just 30 minutes north of Seattle. From the scenic dining room and outside deck, you can watch the ferries come and go as you enjoy mouth-watering seafood and a wide assortment of Ivar's famous original recipe entrees and many other Northwest favorites. "This was our wedding anniversary and our request for a table by the window was honored. By booking our reservation online we had practically no waiting time even though it was a busy day. We can honestly say that this was one of our best dining experiences ever. The food was prepared to perfection (steak and prawns) and the server was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time."

"The food and service was disappointing. We order the bacon wrapped scallops which were small and dry with a disconnected sauce. The halibut was good but a little on the cool side (not enough to send it back). The bill for 3 people was much higher than the quality and quantity would justify. The service was slow and apologetic (not good enough)."

"The appetizer tower was actually pretty good. However, I ordered the Northwest Platter, which was a combination of halibut fish and chips, clamstrips, and shrimp. The platter was over-cooked and extremely dry. As if it was kept warm in an oven for a long time. I could only eat one-third of it. My wife had the seared albacore which seemed okay. The black rice had good flavor, but a bit too salty.
The view from the table was nice and the service was good."

"We had a really bad server. This lady was not good to us. First she complained about someone already brought the bread to our table and when our bread had one left we asked for more she said "I will bring it more when the basket is emptied" which she didn't come back for another 10 minutes then she brought out 3 more rolls with a small butter. When she took the order for our kids she didn't ask what drink they want, when our kids politely asked, she said what do you ordered and what kind of the drink you wanted. We almost walked out after we ordered the food, the waiters are must nicer they brought the bread to us even I don't think our table was in their service area."

"I can say this was a very solid experience. Not mind-blowing, not simply good, but just very solid. My family member were more pleased by the food than I was, crab cakes in particular. Service was very respectable, despite rude folk at the table.
I would recommend this venue but not necessarily go out of my way to do so."

"we can always count on ivar's for wild, sustainable salmon, cooked to perfection, and the most delicious clam chowder that is second only to my dad's, rip. service is always attentive and we loved that the front desk had a birthday card for my husband when we checked in! the view is fabulous, can't beat the fair price, and we're proud to have ivar's represent in our little 'ol mukilteo!"

"Ivar's Mukilteo Landing how I love you! How can you argue with one of the most scenic settings with a classic northwest seafood menu. Service is warm, welcoming and informative. It can get busy so reservations are highly recommended. The bar is extremely well stocked and is a great place to have a drink and watch the activity in Puget / Possession Sound."

"Amazing server who was very attentive and easy to talk with. All the food we ordered was so tasty we shared just about every plate. Mother enjoyed hot tea, dad went foe the margarita and I gave into a mimosa with my early Sunday lunch.
The interior is a bit dated, however, they completely make up for that with good seafood, professional staff and one of the best views in the Puget Sound."

"For the prices the food was poor. I expect more when the bill is close to $100 for a family of 4. Atmosphere and scenery were beautiful. Service was pretty good, it was busy so we had to wait a bit for our food. I did not like the soup I ordered and was brought a different kind per my request w/o being charged. Wait staff was friendly. Overall I enjoyed our evening out but the food was mediocre."

"We chose Ivars Mukilteo for our anniversary dinner because it has a spectacular setting and great food. We were not disappointed. Our table was ready on time, service attentive but not overbearing, portions generous, and food tasty and well-presented. We were not rushed, courses came at just the right pace. The only drawback was that our table was a bit too close to the bar showing the NCAA playoff games and open seating in the dining room, the noise level was a bit high. However this would not keep us from going back at any time."

"Our initial greeting was very friendly and professional as was the hostess. They saw our Open Table Reservation and seated us right away. (At this point, I was wondering why it had been a year, since our last visit - besides, this was my location for my previous birthday dinners and other special occasions for several years)

"I had the halibut with asparagus and green papaya slaw...the slaw wasn't great but the halibut was very fresh and melted in my mouth. I wish restaurants had better substitutions for potatoes, like quinoa or brown rice or something more healthy. The waitstaff was very attentive, almost too much so, I felt like our waitress was constantly at our table...interupting our conversation many times...it just felt like it was too much attention. The restaurant is right on the waterfront and we had a nice table by the window. We had a wonderful dinner here."

"It was Easter Sunday. We were too late for brunch but the dinner menu made it a very special day. The sun was shining and the view was beautiful. Our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. That was appreciated. We were allowed to visit and did not feel hurried to eat and leave. It had been awhile since I had been to Ivar's but I will definitely be back soon. And the mussels and clams with the Rockefeller sauce was fresh and delicious."

"Took the family for Easter brunch. Everyone was extremely nice and made you feel at home. It was pretty noisy and hard to hear the person next to you. The food was good, not exceptional. My impression was that they had the fire up too high to get the food out quickly, the eggs and the cornmeal pudding were burnt. Even though the view is great, I wouldn't be too quick to go back."

"I took a group of senior residents from a local retirement community in for lunch. We had a fabulous server, the food was delicious, and who can beat the view??? The staff were very friendly and accomidating to my residents. We will definitely be back!"

"we love ivars, but made the mistake of going for the 1.08 bday bash....
TOO MANY PEOPLE, TOO MUCH NOISE, ORDER CAME OUT WRONG, TABLE WASN'T BUSSED IN A REASONABLE TIMEFRAME,
SOME FOOD APPEARED "PRE" PARED..., AND PORTIONS OF FISH WERE TINY (salmon and cod)
CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE MIGRANES IN THE KITCHEN!!
Not up to their ususual goodness.... I had indegestion ALL NIGHT (and I don't remember last time THAT happened!)"

"The cedar plank salmon was good, but a little small. Atmosphere was very nice and the hostess seated us very quickly on a Friday night. Probably the best part of the experience was the accommodating nature of the hostesses and the waitress. Very pleasant and attentive."

"For over 30 years this restaurant has been our family dig. And when my father turned 80 years young on the 8th of March, there was little doubt as to where we would break bread as a family once again. Eric was our server, he was incredibly considerate and attentive to our party of eight, but not over bearing. With little direction, he arranged to bring out the cake I dropped off earlier in the day, and on a nicely appointed display cart the cake was lit with voices raised to sing. It was a fabulous meal. Thank you all for making it so memorable."

"We made a reservation online just 3 hours before we wanted to dine,which was very convenient. We were seated almost immediately after we arrived, and were given a window seat. The server was very friendly and competent, and the food was excellent, especially the chowder."

"Reserved a table for 4 for 630. Arrived on time but made to wait 50 minutes. Walk-ins were given tables ahead of us. Why bother with reservation system? Very disappointing wine list.Entree served before appetizer finished. Food was surprisingly good (not excellent but good) considering all the other issues. Cappuccino was a latte No visible management on the floor. Great location with potential but very poorly executed and managed."

"Ivars in mukilteo is my choice for fine dining. The seafood is excellent from the starters to the main course it's all prepared very well. The service is also excellent. The views are fantastic adding to the ambiance of the restaurant. Despite being super busy with reservations we were seated within minutes of arriving."
