"Had just arrived in Atlanta from the West Coast and wanted an "old school" steakhouse meal. NYP was easy walking distance from the Westin and we like the website. The manager, Bobby, gave us a nice quiet table in the corner and kept us posted on the ice hockey game score. Our waiter Bryce was nicely attentive and knew his stuff. Impressive wine list and the steaks were some of the best we ever have had. Giant baked potato and mushrooms rounded out the meal. Found out from Bobby that NY Prime is part of a group of restaurants in the East. Will definitely seek out some of the others and would definitely visit NYP in Buckhead next time we are in Atlanta."

"We had a new waiter who used the word "wonderful" after every request. He had no idea of the menu, did not tell us the days specials. He had to go back to the kitchen several times to ask what something was. Terrible evening."

"New York Prime has some of the best steaks around period. This was my first visit to the Buckhead NY Prime, I go to the one located in Myrtle Beach at least once a year. The food was great as anticipated however the service at this location was no where near the level provided in Myrtle Beach. Can't be sure if our waiter was hard of hearing or simply was not paying attention. The drink order a simple "Crown and Diet" was messed up by just being Crown. When it was pointed out that I had requested Crown and Diet he returned with a full glass of Diet Coke leaving me with a full glass of Crown and a full glass of Diet Coke. Despite the service shortcomings the steaks made it a great night! Would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"NYP accommodated our large group as they do each year we visit the area for the Masters week! They are a superb restaurant from top to bottom. The service is impeccable and the food fantastic. They always make us feel welcome and the combination of superior service and food experience is why we keep returning each year!"

"Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience at NY Prime. After enjoying the restaurant a few times in the past, it came as a surprise. First, we had a bottle of wine that we returned (a first time ever for me!). That can happen, but the waiter did not recognize the vinegar smell and did not offer to return the bottle until we recommended that he drink the wine! Second, the main meal came out with appetizers not finished. Finally, steak for two was served rare when ordered medium... waiter didn't return until meat was cold! Manager did remove the steak from the bill (which we didn't eat). I was surprised that on Friday of the Final Four weekend the restaurant was only 75% full at 8:00...now I understand why"

"I was so excited to go to New York Prime. What a treat. The ambiance is outstanding. I have never had better service in my life. The salad and cheesey mashed potatoes were wonderful. We had the baked shrimp appetizer and I felt the shrimp were a little over cooked. The flavor was nice though. For an entree my friend and I shared the lobster. I was so excited!! But I felt it was also a little over cooked and chewy... I should have gotten a steak. I will definitely go back, but it wasn't the best meal I've ever had."

"Went there to celebrate wife's birthday and it was really great. From the front door to the table all the staff told her happy Bday. The food was outstanding. The only thing my wife noted was that she had to walk through the bar with all the smokers in order to get to the restaurant. We are non-smokers so it was a bit of a distraction for her."

"good steaks. need sign when you turn off of Peachtree by Ritz that points to right for restaurant. Wife and I were given a table and the waiters stood right by our table and talked in Pakistani or some language where it was distracting. They didn't seem to care. But when I pay $200 for dinner, I prefer the waiters to be out of earshot range.
Wanted to try the restaurant, it was our first time, but doubt we will return due to the noise of the waiters and the poor table selection when there was numerous options open."

"Terrific. At about ten buck s a bite, it's easily the best steak either of us has ever had. And priced accordingly. But it's worth it. We'll be back. eventually.

Can be a little difficult to find the parking entrance and the restaurant entrace the first time due to its awkward location, but I imagine once you've been there once it shouldn't be a problem."
