"Food was great, service was extremely slow and inconsistent. I set up a reservation but the size of the table with the number of folks once food started arriving was less than adequate. I also asked (when the hostess called to confirm 2 days prior) if they reserved tables and she told me no...To my surprise once I asked for a bigger table before we were seated-there were 2 bigger tables available...the hostess informed my that those tables were reserved..needless to say I was a bit ticked. I think that I will eat the food again but highly doubt that I will dine in, when seated we felt like elbow to nose cattle..extremely tight."

"We did have an issue with the valet parking service (external company, used by Columbia). The parking lot was beyond packed for Mother's Day and you could tell the valet service was understaffed for the volume of customers. After a heated exchange with one of the valets, I brought the incident to the restaurant manager's attention. He escorted us back outside and took charge of the matter. Our car was quickly parked and we were escorted to our table with no further trouble. Our food and service was outstanding....which is not a shock, it always is. Columbia sets the pace for fine dining in the Tampa Bay area."

"Excellent service, Good Ambiance, was my fourth visit to one of the Columbia Restaurants and always a great experience. I usually order off the menu and it is always very good. The 1905 Salad is the best house salad, anywhere by far. This visit I chose the special which was a Osso Buco, not one I would recommend. The service by far is the best in town."

"We found this gem off the beaten path of all the beach restaurants in Clearwater Beach. It was our last night. The place is beautiful and full of wonderful ambiance. Spanish music filled the room. Our waiter Daniel was one of the best servers ever. We started with the crab cakes that were very good. Pitcher of sangria made at table was the best I have ever had. Don't miss it. Dinner was the fish baked in parchment was my wow food that is probably the best thing I have ever eaten. Have the yellow rice- fantastic.

"I chose this restaurant for the specific reason that I wanted a water view. It was an anniversary and I called ahead to confirm that we could get a water view. I was told that there were many indoor tables with a view as well as an outdoor deck so it wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived, however, we were shown to a table with no view at all. I pointed out that I requested a water view, but the people at the hostess podium could not have been less helpful or shown less interest. Since we had traveled an hour and already given our car to the valet, we stayed but it was very disappointing. I would have appreciated even the slightest effort to make things right, but there was no effort. I won't go back or recommend this particular Columbia."

"We booked this reservation a month in advance as we were going to the area for our 40th anniversary. We had requested a table by the window for this special occasion . When we arrived, we were asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or dining room? We're seated towards the back of the room no view . Service was very hit Andes, no eater, no follow up unless we flagged her down. Just a very disappointing experience for our special evening. The food was good, my husbands shrimp in bacon way to salty though."

"Wow. I think that best describes our last visit to the restaurant. We arrived for our reservation time and were seated immediately by a very friendly staff. There were 8 in our group and none of us were left wanting. The appetizers were served quickly and were tasty. The sangria made at the table was a show in itself along with the salad making. The bread was warm and delicious. Our entries were varied but all arrived at the same time and were all hot. Prior to our ordering our waiter was very knowledge on all items on the menu and his suggestions were followed much to our delight. What was great was that 4 of the party had never been there before and were extremely impressed and will be back."

"Being a Brit living here for 3 months,I have yet to find a restaurant that compares to really good restaurants in England I'm afraid.This restaurant has a good reputation & is considered to be superior foodwise.I cannot say the food is anymore than ok.We have been here 3 times so have tried a few different dishes.I have found most things rather bland.I had the special entrée this time of fish with a coconut crust.There were 3 sizeable pieces of fish - just too much (tho I am getting used to the generally too large portions here).I couldn't taste any coconut.It had a salsa of fruit which included strawberries which I found just bizarre.It didn't contribute anything to the dish & was unnecessary in my opinion.I can't fault the service however"
