"I went to this place with my boyfriend for dinner on a weekday, and it was an amazing experience. The ambience was lovely, and the food was delicious! Definitely get the mac and cheese as a side! Couldn't ask for more."

"The restaurant is nestled in a downtown environment, which makes parking a little difficult; however, there are garages and the option to valet. The food was really good and there was also a live jazz band. Typically you'd have to go to Harlem in order to get this type of food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant as a southerner."

"The food was good as it usually is, the only disappointment being the alligator which was on the tough side and quite minimal for the price charged. The pecan salmon and collards were excellent. We were quite disappointed that pecan pie was no longer offered. We mainly go because of the lice music and it did not disappoint, we enjoyed Dakota McLeod and would like to see more of this style of jazz in the future."

"I really wanted to like Delta's. The website was so nicely done, that I just assumed the food would be as authentic as described. Totally disappointed in the food. Mediocre, at best.
Maybe because it was a graduation night, our experience suffered. They were not busy when we arrived. And I am not sure how you turn out bland, greasy food because you may have been busy earlier in the night. Oh well. Digest and move on."

"Delta's is a fun restaurant. It has great ambience and a vibrant bar so you can stop by for drinks and appetizers anytime. The restaurant also has live entertainment several nights a week. I loved the pecan crusted salmon and my friend thought the ribs were delicious. I think the sides are the best. I always get the macaroni and cheese, hush puppies and the stewed okra. The drink menu has a wide variety of drinks especially martinis. My favorite is the Pink Diamonds, very refreshing with a great raspberry flavor without being overly sweet."

"There was a period where I was going to Delta's never knowing what to expect. I still believe the front of the house could use work. The people they have working the door and reservations are not friendly, at times they seem hostile and I am not sure why. You need friendly people to greet your guests, it's a first impression that is lasting. Also seems they've hired a dependable staff, service had gone downhill, our most recent server was excellent. Things seem to be improving. There was a time recently I had sworn Delta's off due to the rude service received. The food is always consistent though."

"Overall, it was fine. Couple is things things though ... Pork chops were a very cheap cut and tough. I had to ask for a steak knife to "saw"through them. Service was rushed. Wanted to dine and enjoy my time there but was presented with the check before I could swallow my last bite."

"Opentable reservation was only worth a seat at a 4 top bar table which couldn't accommodate our plates without them basically touching.
Martinis were tasty; manhattan was shaken and cheap tasting. All were presented in shakers, one was so full it ended up being spilled on the guest of honor.
Food was OK but nowhere near worth the prices charged. The chicken with the waffle was sad looking at best and tasted about how it looked. The leg was smaller than some chicken wings I've seen.
Live jazz was pretty unimpressive, which was a trio of xylophone, congas, and bass guitar played by 3 guys jamming independently it seemed.
Great concept, but poor execution almost all the way around."

"While we all agreed our waitress was pleasant she was not visible enough. We were a group of 7. We saw her wwhen she took out food and drink order and delivered the food. I think she stopped by once after that. After she retrieved the check we sat their at least another hour and a half, and never got another visit. We may have wanted additional drinks, but she would never know because she never returned again, but kudos to the gentlemen who can twice to offer us fresh water."

"I'm losing my love for this place. There were things about Delta's that made it a winner but those things are gone now. Small things like attentive service. We needed refills a few times during our dinner and sat wanting. No butter given with the cornbread..waited 15 minutes for vinegar and our check. The place is always loud and to me that's not charming just another reason to stay away. The food is good but what you have to go through to get it, rude reception that greets you with a grimace and acts as if your presence is an annoyance..and completely forgets about you waiting for a seat after being told it'll be two minutes..we are cleaning your table..20 minutes later we get seated."

"If you want authentic southern soul food,this is the place to go. Friendly staff, attentive service,good food, though as expected, more fried options than usual and fewer salad choices. But the food is great! Fried catfish fingers appetizer was delicious. Barbeque ribs were sweet and tender, as was the chicken. Side dish options a southern dream! Cajun shrimp, fried chicken, all delic.too.
All with the backdrop of a fun afterwork crowd at the bar for drinks, appetizers,and some relaxin', movin' and groovin' to the dj who played some low key R&B.
Left satisfied and relaxed...overall a very nice treat!"

"Came for a birthday dinner with friends and was pleased with the food quality, music and the scene in general. We had a slight hiccup (my friend's potato salad didnt arrive with his meal and was forgotten about)but once we advised our waitress she was quick to advise her manager and they made amends.
It was a good evening and consistent thus far. My friends from out of town enjoyed it as well considering it was their first time having soul food."

"This was my first visit to Delta's. We definitely enjoyed the feel of this place. I had the smothered turkey chops, candied yams and macaroni and cheese was absolutely delicious! My date had the fried chicken, collard green and something else...I was too busy chowing down on my delicious dish. Dessert was peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...ummm...umm good!"

"This was our first time to the restaurant and we enjoyed our experience. The appetizer -- peach bbq ribs -- was insane and one of the two entrees was great.
