"I have been to this restaurant before, as this is my Dad's favorite restaurant when he is in town. We typically come here once a year. The food on this occasion was the best I've had at this restaurant. The cream of mushroom soup was the best I've ever had. My toddler loved it. The pasta, chicken, and sea bass were very good. I the food was really good. I'm even more impressed because it was a Saturday night and it was packed but the food quality was still good. That is hard to find. It was very noisy but that was expected. Our server looked 'exhausted' but he did his best. I won't fault him and my Dad gave him a really good tip. Overall I enjoyed this dining experience. I hope they don't stop serving the cream of mushroom soup-loved it."

"Met friends at Café Lucci, at their recommendation. What a wonderful little spot. I had ravioli, and it was some of the best I've ever had. Look for this neighborhood gem. Well worth the drive if you're not from the area. I'll be bringing my family from the west 'burbs sometime soon."

"We never would have found this incredible restaurant if it wasn't for Open Table. Its located in a strip mall area but is truly a hidden gem. The waiter was perhaps the most knowledgeable I have ever had and also friendly and courteous. He split everything we ordered at the table for us without even being asked. The wines are quite expensive but we ordered the special of the night and it was delicious. Everything we ordered was amazing and this is a definite return to and recommend place. The four of us left with one word - WOW!!!!"

"You can always tell when a restaurant is there for their profit and not for your enjoyment. Caffe Lucci overwhelms you with food and service. They begin with a plate at the table filled with a garlic spread and another bowl with veggies in a marination and bread that is warm and flavorful. Cafe Lucci may make a profit but the restaurant is there for you to enjoy. The service was flawless and the busboys did not touch the lip of the glass to their ewer.
They have a gluten-free pasta that is delicious and the desserts are too die for. All in all, the experience was delighful and the food above delicous. The waiter made great recommendations."

"Another fabulous meal last night. The fried calamari was crisp and tender, grilled octopus was amazingly tender-the best ever we have ever ordered. The mushroom soup was very creamy, was a bit too thick and needed a little more mushroom flavor.
Pinenut (ground into flour) crusted grouper was crisp with a very moist and flaky fish and served with a very bright and flavorful tomato beurre blanc. The cioppino was a very, very large portion, with maybe a few too many mussels relative to the other components.
Veal stuffed capellaci special was flavorful and served with a smoked mozzarella tomato sauce. The risotto had a perceptible saffron note and large enough for two.

"The place is pretty nice and classy. I read reviews and they all sounded very nice but...As far as food goes...the portion were small and most of the food wasn't fresh...made from scratch. My biggest problem was the fact that everything seemed very salty. I didn't feel as we should tip 20% (not fun of the food) but waiter came back asking for bigger tip (he got 10%- originally). We will probably not go there again :("

"We were seated in the back room and it was freezing!
We asked the waiter if anything could be done and he was very pleasant and the heat did come on for ~15 minutes. Then it was freezing again and he told us that that's how it is in that area of the restaurant. My friend ate with her coat on and the rest of us were very uncomfortable. The food was average. "I was disappointed with my experience at Cafe Lucci. We didn't get our table at the reserved time; we had to wait about 30 mins. The bar didn't have certain wines and the food we ordered was mediocre. They had already run out of the special fish dish on their menu at 8 p.m. The mushroom ravioli was pasty and not very tasty. The salad and dessert was probably the best part of the meal. I don't think we will be dining here for a while. Our server gave us outstanding service; it is not his fault the food was average."

"Each time I visit Cafe Lucci I wonder why I bother to dine elsewhere. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and enjoyable. The wine selection and recommendations help me discover fantastic new wines. The food is always hot and really delicious. It makes you a hero among your guests for picking the place. "We arrived on time for our reservation and were told it would be a 20-25 minute wait. This was due to inadequate 'table time' for customers before us. The service was excellent once we were seated and we had a very positive experience."

"We had a group of 6 with a reservation on a Saturday night and when we arrived, on time, they said they were running late and it would be 20 minutes. We didn't get seated until 45 minutes after our reserved time. We were very unhappy about that and no one from the restaurant offered to comp any portion of our meal."

"This is our favorite restaurant and we again had a wonderful, expertly prepared meal. Excellent service. This time though, for some reason the main room noise was loud and made table conversations difficult to hear. Past visits the noise was moderate and did not make talking and listening across the table a strain."

"I was nervous meeting a blind date at this place. Our server made us feel at home and broke the ice. I had the crab cakes and the veal pancetta both were great. My date had the sea bass with pancetta and she loved it. The bottle of wine that was recommended didn't break the bank."

"Another great meal but this time we sat in the back room along the north side of the building. The only reason this place does not get five stars from us is because of the very strange location, lack of views, forced valet parking and tight quarters within the restaurant - otherwise this would be a five-star all around. The food is always top-notch, well-prepared & tasty - albeit pricey. This time we had see scallops with fettuccine and sun-dried tomatoes a light yet flavorful dish. The double pork chop with pepperoncini and italian sausages was outstanding and as protein packed as it sounds. The chicken marsala had two large chicken breasts and plenty of wine soaked mushrooms. The chocolate gelato was amazingly smooth and rich for desser"
