"The title says it all! I have eaten at many Ruth's Chris across the country in MAJOR metropolitan towns, DC, NY, LA, Seattle, Vegas... I KNOW what RC quality was or is suppose to be and frankly the food was no better than going to an out back but the cost was not that! My mom said it best she resented the meal! When you pay 400$ for a meal it should be memorable for all good reasons not for how average it was. Don't know if RC of Wilm simply does not have to live up to higher standards as the cities named above or if RC has just grown too big and has become nothing more than an overpriced Outback; but either way I won't be back as there are much better (and sometimes more expensive so its about quality not money) out there."

"We had a phenomenal experience. Patrick was our server, but he was backed up by an entire crew of unobtrusively scrupulous assistants. I wish I could remember their names. The food was exquisite in it's simplicity, salt, pepper, butter. The most amazing flavors were brought forth from each featured item. The steak, lobster, scallop, shrimp... Beautiful. I was particularly impressed with the baked potato whose interior was creamy perfection while the skin was crisp and flavorful. Next to the lobster, I do believe I enjoyed that perfect potato best!"

Leslie had the gluten-free menu on the table when we arrived. She also provided a gluten-free dessert for our "birthday girl" without us reminding her about the gluten issue."

"The food was great. I went for Restaurant Week. The three-course meal was a good fit. I like coming to Ruth's Chris, however, this is the second time I have been served by a waiter named Dave and received sub-par service. While I don't mind quirkiness in character, Dave was not focused on his job, was totally irresponsible and did not place my order in a timely fashion. There was a wait of 20 minutes before I received my drink, and the place was not full or extremely busy. My main course came in before my appetizer (mixup occurred), and when I inquired about my salad, the other waiters were flustered. I did get my salad shortly after that. Thankfully, the manager stopped by my table and made amends for the poor service."

"While extremely disappointed with a 40 minute wait to be seated, regardless of my reservation, the evening was saved by our server. Brook was very professional, highly effecient, and extremely friendly. Anyone dining with Ruth's Chris Wilmington would be lucky to have her.
PS: To whoever is responsible for the wine list - Believe it or not, there ARE people outside of California who produce wine. A whole world of them actually. Just a thought."

Not sure if it was the special menu, or if the Wilmington location is just higher priced, but it was significantly more than we've spent in other locations for a similar meal. "I was very disappointed when we arrived ON TIME for our 8pm reservation & was told it would be approx a 15min wait.... We actually waited approx 32-45 minutes for our table. Another party that also had reservations @ 8pm had to wait so long they missed their movie that they had prepaid to see. They had purchased advanced tickets for a 10pm showing.....they were VERY disappointed.
This was my first visit & I expected much more...sadly to say my expectations were not meet. I ordered gumbo & a caesar salad. I must say, it was the sadest salad I have ever seen. The only one in my group that was totally pleased with the meal was the individual that ordered the pork chop. 1 in 4 isn't a high number of satisfaction."

"Our server was excellent. He told us later he had been with the corporation for a long time, but had just started as a waiter that week. You wouldn't have known; he was extremely personable, around when necessary, aloof when we wanted time alone. My husband and I were celebrating our first anniversary since getting married. The crab corn chowder was fantastic, I'd recommend to anyone. The steak was expertly prepared exactly how we wanted it. The crab cake was good, a little too filled with shredded crab, but there was lump crab in it, so I could tolerate it. I was disappointed by the potatoes au gratin - they tasted like they had been frozen. I also could have used a bit more flavor in the hollandaise sauce served with the asparagus."

"I read reviews and some of them were not as high as I expected. I didn't want to go to a place and spend lots of money if it wasn't going to be worth it. I just decided what the heck, and went anyway. I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. The food, service and overall experience was amazing. I am a white wine drinker so I do not really know which red wines I like. My waiters Drew & Hunter(training) brought me over 4 glasses of red wines to try to see which one I would like best. I've never experiencd that before and they were just so welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant. I had the filet with the blue cheese crust and it was the best piece of steak I have ever had."

"I was greatly disappointed to find out (at the end of my meal) that I could have gotten the filet and lobster tail (which is an absolute favorite of mine) for about the same price as the filet I ordered. Part of our group was seated and informed of the specials and when the remainder of our group was seated, the waiter did not repeat the specials. The food was excellent and, other than this one mishap, the waitstaff was very attentive."
