"Great area of the Bronx, easy to get to, valet parking. Worth a stop when you are near George Washington Bridge area. Great steaks, appetizers and specials. Best T bone steak I've had in ages, one of my favorite steaks and often hard to find. Servers and staff are courteous and friendly whether its your first visit or one of many. A true NYC classic. One of my favorite spots."

"This was my third time going to jake's steakhouse and it was such a great experience as were my first two. The food is delicious, their steaks are to die for and you always come back for those crostini's they are so good. A very nice restaurant with more than reasonable prices for the food."

"The lobster tail was delicious and one of the best I've ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly however it was missing something that I just can't put a finger on. I've had better steak but to Jake's defense, now that I'm pregnant I had to order it cooked more thoroughly than I usually like it. The prices are moderate to high ($40-50 for the entree). The service was outstanding. This is the second time I've been to Jake's and have yet to be disappointed. Great place for a date or a night out with a small group of friends. My husband and I found street parking but I do think that they valet."

"Our first time at jakes was definitly a nite to remember, i heard alot of good thing about this neighborhood steak house but never got around to making it there. But finally when i did, i can honestly say that it wont b my last time there. When ever i am craving a steak jakes will always be the first place that pops into my head. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent everything, more than what you would pay at an applebees or fridays but u cant compare the food in any way."

"I live in Riverdale and was searching for decent steak in the neighbored. At 6 pm I made a reservation on line for 7:15 pm. In the notes I asked for something with a view.
When I arrived everything was set. They brought us to a table on the upper deck next to the full length windows overlooking the park. Our waitress was Mora. My girlfriend was very impressed. The atmosphere was perfect, The food and wine list was perfect. The service was perfect.
I highly recommend the T-bone.
Cant wait to go back"

"Had a great day-after-Valentine's day dinner at Jake's with my fiance. They wanted to seat us on the first floor, but didn't hesitate to give us a table upstairs when we asked. We asked the waitress for a wine recommendation, and rather than making something up, she was honest and said, "I don't really drink wine, let me get a server that can help you better." Other than that, service was solid, and the food was great (shrimp cocktail, oysters, T-bone, filet w/ blue cheese and onions, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables). I always recommend this place to friends that are looking for a place to go for a special occasion in this neighborhood."

"This was our first trip to Jake's Restaurant and it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise, pleasant ambiance, efficient courteous and cordial staff and great food and drink. We went to Jake's for my wife's birthday. We had never been here before but based on the on-line comments of others I made a reservation. And I'm very glad I did. I ordered Filet Mignon medium well with Blue Cheese and Onion; my wife got the Seafood Special, and my daughter had Salmon in a Mushroom and Mustard Sauce. All three meals were superbly cooked and delicious. For appetizers we had Mussels Fra Diavolo and Bruchette with Tomatoes and Onion. Outstanding! For dessert my daughter and my wife shared the Creme Brulee. Amazing! We'll be back soon."

"The steak was not as good as it usually is. Not as tender or tasty, but just as pricey as when it is divine. Loved the sweet potato fries.
I had mentioned it was a special occasion and wish they had acknowledged that."

"Apps were good, I had the shrimp cocktail and my husband had the Shrimp Sauté.
For my main course, i had the jake's filet mignon, it was great except they went a little overboard on the amount of port sauce that was on the plate.
My husband had the t-bone-it was cold in the middle. He ate the outside then finished my filet.
We each had a side, creamed spinach (always good) and the garlic mashed potatoes that also arrived cold.

"The food was fantastic. I'm a steak lover and thus restaurant caught my interest. The environment was great. My wife enjoyed herself. When I made reservations I got seated at the time and in the seats I requested. A little louder than I expected, but the waiter definitely was grabbing all the guest attention. Loved it"

"We do not go to Jake's Steakhouse often, due primarily to the expense, but have used it for special occasions (my birthday) and find the food and service to be outstanding.
