Voted one of Jackson Hole’s hottest restaurants in 2008 by Food and Wine Magazine, Trio is located just off the Town Square. Open since 2005, Trio is owned and operated by two local chefs with a flare for innovation. Trio serves both seasonal and nightly specials in a relaxed atmosphere, popular with locals and tourists alike. Come in and enjoy a specialty cocktail in front of the wood-fired oven as the chefs perform in an open kitchen.
"Food was certainly fine, service not so much. Brought the wrong meal for my wife, I was finished eating before her meal arrived. Offered a free dessert, we said fine but we are not paying for her meal either."

"We saved the best for last!...the interior is a hip industrial modern design...great atmosphere...knowledgeable and friendly service ... a small but varied menu... Something for everyone... The short rib pasta is a highlight... delicious...caesar salad is so-so... All else was very enjoyable..."

"We can't say enough GOOD about Trio An American Bistro! We had a great night with family with impeccable service. We also had a 3 1/2 year old in our party and everyone made us feel very welcome. Just want to give a special shout out for the blue cheese waffle fries - they are to die for. Perfect evening with great food. Love this place!"

"The food was excellent. Our group had a mushroom and pepperoni pizza, roasted beets, crab on corncake with avocado, duck confit, and a halibut special. Everyone loved their dishes. The restaurant was a bit noisy and the service a little slow getting started because they were busy."

"Late night dinner (9:15) after flying in to JH; wait staff was cheerful and energetic despite the late hour, and made sure we knew about the 2 entrees for one price special! Blood orange margaritas were excellent as usual, as was hearty short rib pasta and fava bean and pea risotto. Everything hit the spot after a long day of travel!"

"The restaurant was not packed, but it was busy, and maybe that is why the service was so slow. Maybe they were down a chef. The food was fantastic, however. The warm beet salad was to die for and my tombo tuna was delicious!"

"Went to Trio for Girls' Night Out with six of my friends! We had a great time enjoying apps, pizza, and drinks! Loved the crab corncake appetizer!! We tried all four pizzas and they were all delicious! The service was excellent.... and a table of 7 women is not easy. We all had FUN! We shared a piece of the frozen lemon meringue pie! WOW! It was incredible! Yum-Yum!!!"

"We had a great time at Trio. The cuisine is very unique & delectable. It seems there's nothing they do poorly. Although their space is small, the interior is very modern & inviting. Probably one of the coolest interiors in Jackson. The off-season is a great time to go because they're offering two entres for the price of one. Even with the discount, it's still pricey. But that's life in Jackson. If you want good food, it's going to be expensive. And Trio's worth every penny. If you have yet to try them out, then it's time to do it. Trio's always a hit."

"I had the seared tuna with saffron rice, cooked perfectly. Sauce was light and fresh. Mussel appetizer was delicious and cooked just right. Martini was delicious. I would recommend trio. Fantastic food and great service."

"I have loved Trio for a long time. It is sad for me to say that it is time for us to break up. I could have overlooked the overly salty entree and the waiter BLATANTLY trying to turn the table but taking the s'mores off the dessert menu means it's time to take my dining dollars elsewhere."

"The food at this busy place is terrific, very tasty however the wait was 40 minutes! For a roast chicken dish and a pizza. The waitress could have been more attentive, no special treatment and we came here twice. The lady that shows you to your table could do with a smile! The wine list was good and I strongly recommend the food but the service needs to improve a lot!!!"

"Had a corner table by the window with privacy. Lucas was an excellent waiter with just the right interaction. An old friend spotted us from the Streat and joined us for a drink to top off a great evening:) great atmosphere!"

"said I'd recommend but only to those (twenty somethings?) who don't care about conversing (impossible to do over the outrageous noise level). hard to argue with the success of a packed restaurant, but it would be nice to have at least one or two tables that offered a little refuge from the din. many older "high rollers" will avoid this place b/c of the noise..."

"The food was great! Specially the tuna. Service was pleasant. The only thing I thought was "off" was when the bartender brought us out drinks. We said hello and thank him for our beverages and he didn't get a single response. Not even a smile. That was a bit rude. So we order another drink thinking maybe he didn't hear us but he was in the same mood. We led in good spirits but I would have loved another glass of wine."

"Very disappointing experience. We had heard great things and looked forward to a wonderful meal. The reservation was made on line and we received a primo table. The place was filling for Saturday night and was noisy / two infants crying and one group of 12 having a major party with their own wine. The menu was limited and pricey. We ordered wine and because of the noise chose a cheeseburger which seemed to offend the waitress. The food arrived and the meat was prepared to perfection. The waitress had disappeared and on first bite my wife found the bun was severely charred and uneatable. The waitress finally asked about the food as we were finishing the meal. We showed her the burned bun and she said "That looks bad. Can I bring your check?""

"A trendy restaurant favorite in Jackson Hole. On a Thursday night, the place was crowded and obvisouldy popular with locals. We felt the menu was limited and catered more to foodies. The waitress was AWESOME though. Which made it a good experience. A better selection of some traditional items would make this a true gem."

"Not the best in Jackson Hole by far but just as expensive. I'd go back, but not as the first choice. Crowded, boxy, slow service, took a long time to get seated despite reservation; hard to recover from these otherwise minor issues."

"Trio is a favorite of mine. The food is always tasty, with excellent aroma and presentation. This is a wonderful place to enjoy food and company. I particularly like the Ulrich Fossilstone counters filled with fossil fishes in a local marble-like stone, interesting to touch and very inviting and warm.
This is a very special restuarant and a must stop for anyone visiting Jackson Hole!
The staff and owners are so gracious, kind, and attentive, that you will add the experience to the best of Wyoming."

"This was our second year to enjoy Trio for our Valentine's dinner. It was better than our expectations. In our reservation I requested to be seated near the window with a table with booth seating against the wall. We were impressed that our request was met with an extra large table near the window. From there everything was perfect! The service, food, ambience and price made for a lovely, romantic dinner. But Trio is not just for special dinning. What we like is that you can offer small or large meals and there variety for meat lovers to vegans. Definitely recommend this restaurant in Jackson."

"Pretty good restaurant. Food was tasty however feel they need to make it clear on the menu that vegetables are an additional cost/order. My husband ordered the chicken and that is all he got, where as I had the burger which made some comment on the menu to add cheese to the fries. We assumed as this was mentioned that all dishes would have sides with them so did not bother to order any for him. No suggestion or indication of this was made by our server - disappointed, would have thought it would have been mentioned. A bit confusing... are there sides .... or not??? Overall enjoyed the evening."

"Has been our favorite restaurant in Jackson for a while, our go to place. But honestly I think we hit it on a wrong night. Usually I give glowing reviews but tonight's not the night unfortunately. The server acted like she was too busy to speak to us or much less care about what we wanted to order. I guess sometimes people would rather be in other places. The food was off as well, a steak over a piece of bread for the price I just can't begin to swallow. I do understand that the sister restaurant Local is new and there is much more time and effort getting up and running. That place is AMAZING!!!! We will continue to support both places."
