Giardina's, one of the Mississippi Delta's most historic restaurants, was founded in 1936 by Joseph Giardina, in Greenwood, Mississippi. A unique blend of sophistication and warmth, Giardina's is the perfect setting for any event. Seating consists of fourteen private booths and the large dining room opens onto a beautiful courtyard. The restaurant's interior space and state-of-the-art kitchen were designed by world-renowned architects. Considerable effort was made to retain the character and charm of the original Giardina's, but the white tablecloths, fine crystal and premium Viking cutlery add the feeling of elegance one would expect from a fine dining restaurant in a large metropolitan area. Giardina's bar, reminiscent of a bygone era, features the same dark wood and tile of the restaurant while offering today's premium liquors, wines and liqueurs. Featuring steaks, seafood and Italian cuisine, Giardina's atmosphere is old world elegant but dress is laid-back "Delta casual.”
"You made my Mother's Day special with your great service and delicious food cooked exceptionally well and just as I ordered it. The steak was exactly as I ordered it and the onion rings were fried crispy and light. Absolutely wonderful dining experience!"

"This restaurant is good, but not exceptional. Service is good, but not exceptional. Food above average, but not memorable. Yet, the menu prices are set as if this were an exceptional destination. It is new and clean on the inside which is a plus for this area. I believe that the restaurant should either increase its menu options, and the wine list and increase staff training or management should reduce menu prices by 25% to better reflect the value actually delivered. If a restaurant posts top tier prices, one should expect to receive top tier service and menu options. There is a notable imbalance at this restaurant."

"I am sure there is history behind having each table separated from others by partitions and having waitstaff enter through curtained doorways, but I found it a little off-putting. For a group dinner, it may be nice to have the private space, but it felt odd for our table of two. There were some service glitches, so it took an hour to get appetizers. Service was pleasant but seemed busy elsewhere, somehow. The dining partitions emphasize privacy as opposed to social engagement. The oysters--Rockefeller, particularly--we're delicious, as was the comeback dressing on my wedge salad. The batter on the soft shell crabs was extremely salty. Overall, it was interesting to have tried it, but I was not a fan of Giardina's."

"I really like the separate cubicles as it was quiet and romantic.
i strongly recommend the filet, the ricotta spinach (the best spinach dish ever0, and Caesar salad.
Aleuvian hotel has a Anniversary special which is a winner for quiet relaxing and a good value.. you can't go wrong. Guests came from all over the US, South Korea, Russia to mention.
Nearby, take in blues museums in Clarksdale and Indianola + Ground Zero. these are international hot spots for travelers. Casino's nearby in Greenville.
Plan on at least 3-4 days as there is a lot to see and hear in re: natural raw delta blues, white as well as black."

"The special thing for me each time I dine here is the selection of oyster appetizers. All are very good. I had two meals there this week and enjoyed them both. The veal piccata was a little more like snitzel that I expected, but I like that too. The filet with bernaise sauce was outstanding."

"Giardina's was an exceptional dining experience. After our meal, we concluded that it was more than worth the hour-and-a-half drive from Clinton to Greenwood!"

"Everything exceeded our expectations. The only complaint we had was the duck confit linguini was so salty it was nearly inedible, but we ate it anyway. Everything else was delicious! We look forward to our next visit!"

"If you're in Greenwood, MS or anywhere is the MS delta for that matter, you need to try Giardina's. They have one of the best filets I have ever had. I have been to Giardina's a bunch and it never disappoints. They have great appetizers and deserts as well. I highly recommend Giardina's."
