"Nice lunch; nothing notable. Food was good, but not outstanding. Service was nice, but nothing extraordinary. Will we return? Probably not, but not because anything was bad. I suppose because nothing stood out to make us want to return."

"Took my daughter and wife out for an early Mother's Day dinner. Dragonfly more than lived up to expectations. We went early which we were glad of since it was getting crowded when we left at 8:30."

"I ate outside near the spa. It was very beautiful and the ambiance was perfect. The retro light bulbs are outside and inside and they are perfect lighting. The food was amazing!! I had the wheatbread pizza, the shrimp and chive appetizer, the slice of ice, and the panna cotta. If I still had room I would have tried an entree. I will be coming back to try even more. The chef is creative with his menu and the creations are delicious. I tried to go again on Sunday but I ran out of time. I will absolutely eat here every time I am in Dallas!!!"

"We started our evening at the bar. Great service! Then we moved to our table. We had waitress with an absolutely horrible attitude, she obviously didn't want to be there - very abrupt, no smiles, no talking about the menu - just what do you want.... We started our meal with caesar salads. The dressing was like water. The chef had dumped an inordinate amount of breadcrums on the salad. We were not offered pepper, and none was on the table. We sent the salads back as they were unedible. The quality of our steaks was mediocor at best. We asked for pepper, and the waitress came back and slammed a tiny pepper shaker on our table and left. We will never go back. I urge everyone to avoid this restaurant."

"We were seated next to the still room couldn't enjoy our dinner because of all the cutlery being cleaned. The food was not good at all, we had the chicken which was extremely dry and overcooked and the fish was a bit better but not up to the standards of a privileged restaurant like dragonfly. Our waiter was below average. We waited for 45 minutes to have our food served. Quite frankly I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience."

"Dumplings/Zaza salad-excellent. Tatertots/Calamari salad-good. Salad is mislabeled (more like fried calamari app). Steak/Lamb chops-excellent. Ice cream cookie sandwich - fair. Pre-prepped cookies not cooked to order & lacked enough ice cream. Drinks at bar were solid. Left restaurant with a bad taste in my mouth when bill came. Wife ordered two appetizers and a side for a dinner. They instead brought a dinner portioned lamb dinner (charging us double in the process). Didn't say anything when the bill came, but when you're spending $100/head, you don't expect to deal with this sneakiness. All in all, food is solid, but could be better. Decent service, rated subpar after bill shenanigans."

"The food was well prepared and presented. The portions were small, but filling for a female appetite. The ambiance was stunning. The drinks were pricey and no happy hour feature. Great romantic experience overall."

"The service was amazing. My boyfriend is very health conscious & has very specific menu requests. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu he even made healthy suggestions based on his meal requests. We ordered wine but weren't clear that we wanted a bottle, so he brought us 2 glasses. Our waiter quickly remedied the situation by giving us the 2 glasses on the house & brought us a bottle even though it really was our fault. He never questioned us. After dinner our waiter found us a table outside by the pool where we could finish our bottle & they had a lounge with a DJ going. I ordered the scallops & they were cooked perfectly, my boyfriend ordered the fish of the day, the portion was a little small for him but he said tasted great"

"The Noah's Ark appetizer was incredible! It included 2 of each appetizers on the menu and for 2 people was almost a meal itself. The whole fish on a bed of quinoa was fresh, simple and delicious. The grouper, likewise, was very fresh, light and satisfying. The oreo cookie ice cream "cake" drizzled with fudge and caramel was absolutely decadent. The sommelier "Mr. Outside" turned us on to a superior bottle of bubbles- Billecart-Salmon reserve Brut. The single page menu proved the adage the simpler the menu the better the food."

"Had not been to Dragonfly in years since the remodel and was expecting the same. The crowd certainly was (a bit older on a Friday night, but still fun). The new menu was smaller with more eclectic dishes and nothing stood out. We ended up doing small app dishes which were good (their $34 app combo comes served on a 'ski' of sorts) but again, nothing stood out in terms of wow factor. Overall, this might be a good spot to stop in for drinks and continue but not sure if a full dining experience is worthwhile. Better options are very close by."

"We had reservations and were seated on time. The meal was good but I have had better there before. The service was poor however I did leave a proper tip ($72.00). I did feel this was generous as he did not "take care" of us, only showing up to take our order & bring the bill. He also kept our credit card & had I had to ask for it! Overall a somewhat disappointing experience and far below what I have previously enjoyed at Dragonfly."

"We experienced Dragonfly as out of town guests and completely enjoyed the food and ambiance. Although the server we had spoke very quickly and acted annoyed when we asked questions, in the end, she delivered us a nice experience. We have already sent two other parties. Highly recommended!"

"We had a wonderful experience at Dragonfly. The squid salad is stellar! The dumplings are delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly and the other dish of whole fish was served already boned and perfect. All requests were generously and completely answered."

"Always wonderful! Have Alex the sommelier pick out a bottle just give him a price range! This wine list has names that you probably havent tried so it is fun to have something new and you arent going to see these choices in a grocery store. The presentation is flawless.
Food is amazing! We tried the deviled eggs, lamb lollipops, ahi tuna tacos and dumplings for starter for our table of 4 and they were all yummy! Then we had the best Filets! at 5oz it was the perfect amount! We all shared Grueyere Mac n cheese (so good) Brussel sprouts and garlic pots.
The slice of ice dessert was so good... it was oreo crust and the best choclate icecream! it is a must try. We also tried a celecrator toast with a tequila sunset...It was so good"

"The exoeriance we had at Dragonfly was nice the decor was unique and the food was tasty. the nenu was short and sweet which was a nice change of pace. The servier was very helpful and egar to explain the specials. The only complaint i would have is that it is too noisey not a quiet date spot at all i have to raise my voice just so my wife could hear me sitting at the same table."

"A group went to grab a late drink for a friend's birthday on Feb 16th. We made the reservation only shortly prior to the reservation time, so we didn't mind waiting a few minutes for a table. We were there around 10:00, and we had a group of 7. Our waiter seemed very perturbed that we weren't ordering the $90/person special Valentine's dinner. We would've appropriately compensated him, since we knew we weren't ordering that expensive meal, however his attitude was very off putting to many of us.
I would go back to give the Dragonfly another try for dinner, though hopefully with another waiter."

"I ate at Dragonfly on 2/15, so there was a special menu for the evening. The food was outstanding. Our waitress was a bit of a space-case, but she was very nice and left us to our own devices for most of the dinner, which was nice. I would certainly recommend Dragonfly to anyone looking for a delicious dinner in a lively atmosphere."

"Loved the decor in the oval dining room, made it very relaxing and elegant. The service was faultless as usual. Taste of all the dishes we ordered was exceptional. My only complaint was the duck, slightly tough, and served in a metal bowl that kept spinning on the table every time I put a knife or fork to it. A flat bottom bowl is recommended if a bowl is otherwise the finest way to present the dish. We will go back and continue to recommend Dragonfly to friends."

"Good experience, I felt the food was a little pricey for the quality. I had the duck and I've definitely had better. Also it was served in a metal bowl that was not flat on the bottom, which made it difficult to eat. The Caesar salad was great, and the honey badger martini was delicious."

"Not a good experience. After arriving on time, being led to our table, in a somewhat noisy area contiguous with the bar,and given menus, we were informed by the waiter that a $90 fixed price Valentine's special (even though it was 2 days after Valentine's day) was the only menu available! There was nothing on OpenTable, the restaurant's website, signs on the lobby, or from the receptionist who led us to the table about this. It was awkward, given that the waiter was clueless about options other than the $90 special (we desired a fairly light dinner pre-theatre). The manager intervened and was friendly and accomodating (altho not apologetic) in that he indicated we could order any of the items ala carte off the limited menu, which we did"

"Went there on Valentine's Day. Probably should have known would be a limited menu, but did not, since no where indicated. Would have preferred regular menu with which I was familiar.
Salad was mediocre, lettuce somewhat wilted and soaked. Duck was very good, but served in a bowl, strangely, making cutting difficult. Steak was to be med-rare and came out very rare. Sent back and remedied, but companion was well into her meal when I got mine. Dessert, great.
Waitress was trying to move table and rush and I had to slow her down after she came back third time to "require" us to order--sure, not her fault and was urged to move tables that night. Manager circulated throughout night and appeared very much on top of things and solicitous of a"

"We ate both dinner and brunch in Dragonfly one weekend. The food is good, probably very good. I think I was expecting something a little more creativity than what I we experience, being this restaurant is located in a trendy hotel, but the food was definitely prepared well and was adequately proportioned. We did not eat in the main dining room for dinner, and the only down side was the bar was noisy. If you make reservations for dinner, you may want to insist on them seating you away from the bar. Otherwise, if you are staying at Zaza, it is worth stopping for dinner."

"I had veggie spring rolls which was quite good, warm mozzarella salad which was fried cheese patties on a bit arugula. Pretty good but makes one wonder what the definition of a salad is. We are on a vegan kick so had vegetable pasta which was indeed vegetarian but not very good. Desserts ok, probably will not go bak"
