Brix Restaurant & Wine Bar is a casual, fine dining restaurant & wine bar serving seasonal, farm focused, contemporary American cuisine. Located in the historic Carriage House 2 blocks north of historic downtown flagstaff, Brix was named one of the Top 95 New Restaurants in the World by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, May 2007, as well one of the 25 Best Restaurants in Arizona by Arizona Highways magazine, April 2008. Brix has an extensive wine list, full bar, the finest patio dining in Flagstaff (May - October) and on-site parking.
"Brix is our favorite restaurant in Flagstaff and we make it a point to eat there every time we're in town. The menu is interesting, albeit somewhat limited, and every dish is well prepared and delicious. My only wish is that Brix had a few more appetizers/starters on the menu that people can share. But that's a minor flaw compared to the overall experience. So if you're up for a memorable meal, this is the place to go."

"Kinda cramped inside eating area, wished we would have chosen outside. Our first time so not sure of a consistent menu, however there was a limited number of entrées. The duck breast and plolenta was excellent. The trout was small but very good. Dessert with Flourless chocolate cake hit the spot. Not kid type of foods...unless adventurous. We'll go back when in town."

"Menu heavy on the meat and cheese, dishes with a bit too many flavors that don't make sense together, especially if one of the items overwhelms all the others. No unifying factor, seems to be just an exercise in "how much can we combine to be unusual"... A cacaphony, taste-wise."

"I thought the menu was pretty limited. Also, the portion sizes were extremely small for the money. The food itself was good but not great. I had a chicken dish that was served with some pasta. The presentation on the plate was quite nice. I had the Beet salad to start. The salad could have used a bit more dressing. The menu said it was served with Balsamic but I could not taste it. They advertise a full bar, but the choices were very limited. I do not think I would go here again as it is just not a good value for what you get."

"We had a great meal and the service was terrific. Unfortunately there was a very loud, nerdy engineer that we had to listen to. My husband has been a software engineer at a large tech company for 30 years and he wasn't impressed. However, we would go back."

"Being from Napa and accustomed to superb restaurants and wine, we are rarely blown away by restaurants in small towns. This was outstanding from the wine list to the cuisine. They even attempted to make short espresso drinks for us, which were nearly perfect aside from the fact that they had recently downgraded from Illy Brand to a local Sedona espresso, which while not up to Illy standards was nevertheless decent. The service was friendly and attentive. Flagstaff is lucky to have such an outstanding restaurant, and we regard this much more favorably than the namesake here in Yountville."

"Dining First Class in Flagstaff? No problem: "Brix" exceeds all expectations. Over the past six years I've come to Brix every time I was in Flagstaff. And I was never disappointed: the creativity of the kitchen, the performance of the bar and the relaxed friendliness of the service was top notch every time I was there. It even improved over the years. It's worth every dollar!"

"We had a good (but expensive) meal at Brix! The waitress was attentive and informative! We asked questions about the cheeses and other names we didn't know what they were and she was good! The anti pasta plate was amazing - definitely enjoyed the date and apricot chutney! Music was too loud and she turned it down three times before it was liveable, small entree - but great creme brulee!"

"We have eaten at this restaurant many times and were very satisfied with our dining experience. However, an Valentines Day the limited menu selection was not what we expected and the selections we made and ate were poor. The lamb chops were mostly fat, the culiflower soup bland and the ravioli was non-descript. The chocolate desert was the best part of the meal."

"Our tableside service was quite good, which was critical since it took a long time to get drinks, appetizers, and then our meals. We were there for 3 hours. Had a great time, but was fairly exhausted by the end of the eve. Too slow behind the bar and in the kitchen, but most items were worth the wait."

"This was our second time to Brix. We were here last winter and came back for more this year, with friends. The menu is very special - lots of organic produce and top quality meats. The vegetable side dishes, one was brussels sprouts and another kale, were unique and delicious. Everything was well prepared and the service was top notch. Ambiance was lovely."
