"Mura has always been one of my fave restaurants in the triangle -- I used to consider it the best sushi restaurant in the triangle. I recently went there on a Sunday night. The fish, usually very fresh, was not up to Mura quality. Unfortunately, this seems to be a recurrent trend the past few times I have been there. I worry that it is possibly going downhill. Also, they used to include soup / salad with the sushi entrees, they no longer do, you have to order separately. It feels a bit like nickel and diming. Of course, service varies based on your server- ours was polite but really slow, and forgot several of our orders. Very weak. The hostess was polite and quick.
Overall, I fear that Mura has fallen from the top tier of restaurants..."

"I'm not sushi fan so can't tell you how it taste but Dinnermates said it was great. It looked very pretty.
My steak was horrible, fatty and flavorless. Dinnermate's Filet was improperly cooked twice. Those who got the NY Strip Hibachi thought fatty too. One other thought it was good so they all agreed he got the good meat the others got the fatty grisle meat. Teriaki glaze on steaks tasted like it came from a bottle. In theory i guess this is a sushi place so stick with that, but if restaurant is going to offer steaks, especially at those prices, should be up to caliber with rest of menu. Overall, not nearly as impressed with Mura as Mura is with itself. (Figure shared app/salad, entree, 2 drinks...$50 a person)"

"The restaurant is located within the North Hills street of shops, so on a nice day, I think the outdoor dining would be great. However, the day was rainy and cold so we couldn't sit outside. The Buy one and get half off rolls was nice. The food and service were overall good but there was a large and very noisy group in the private table areas who were extremely noisy."

"It was me and my date first time dining here. I heard it was amazing by so many people. It was everything everyone said it would be from beginning to end. We had the Kukani Roll, Seafood Trio , the Sake, the Crab Cake; and Hibachi Chicken. Everything was amazingly fresh will definitely come back."

"The food was good but nothing that can't be found in any sushi restaurant, and you pay a little more here. The coconut shrimp app was really disappointing. You get 2 butterflied shrimp that are so coated in batter you wonder where the meat is. The rest of the app is onion rings and fried avocado. The duck was good, but, again, nothing stood out."

"We went on a Tuesday, where they offer buy one roll, get one half off, as well as $5 martinis! The seaweed salad was a great appetizer. It is a little different than most sushi restaurants, as they put it over some greens and add a ginger dressing which is a great way to serve it. Excellent sushi rolls and the service was very good. I also highly recommend the fried cheesecake dessert, it was delicious. We will be coming back on a Tuesday for sure!"

"Loved dining at Mura. The food was fantastic. We ordered the Firecracker shrimp for app... yum! Our main dishes took a while to get to the table. We ordered 2 rolls which were very tasty and super fresh as well as the Kobe short ribs which just melted in our mouth. The short ribs came with blue mashed potatoes (which were kinda dry) and some yummy tempura green beans. The only negative, we had an "odd" waiter. He would come up to the table and pause for an awkward 3 seconds and then ask us a question. Several times he forgot what we had told him, so he'd have to repeat our requests. But, this would not stop us from returning! Definitely a fun place to go out for either a romantic or a group dinner. Go, you won't be disappointed!"
