Located just steps from Narragansett Bay, Trio brings the warmth and tradition of Sunday’s family dinner back en vogue. An open-air kitchen showcases wood-fired ovens that emit aromas of basil and freshly baked dough; the wood-fired grill is adorned with chops, steaks and seafood, while pasta is being freshly made before your eyes. Outside, enjoy al fresco dining just steps away from the beach.
"Trio is one of my top two favorite restaurants to meet friends and have a bite to eat. The service is outstanding and the food is always fresh. There is something on this menu for everyone. Beautiful salads, local fish dishes, macaroni and cheese sides and even the traditional meatballs and marinara. Thin crust pizzas are fun to share as well as the well thought out appetizers. The service takes into account any special accomodations you may require including your allergies, which I have a few. Children can find friendly items on this menu that won't break the bank. Late night the bar definately comes to life with smiles and cheer. I hope you enjoy like I do!"

"What hospitality! This is our favorite restaurant of all time. Everyone is very friendly and on top of the business which rates them #1. The staff is very well educated and versed on the topic of food allergies. For those with gluten sensitivities, a gluten-free menu is offered with great selections."

"We have been a patron of Trio's several times. We had a waitress that was as annoying as anyone that I have encountered in a restaurant. Before we were even in our seats, she was telling us about that evenings specials, ...... Our sole franchese was dull and had no taste to it. The most shocking part was when the waitress stuck her hand in on the right side of our guest to get her drink glass, which she hadn't finished drinking.Lousy service is clearing dinner plates while other people are still eating, All in all it was one of our worst evenings out at a restaurant we felt like we were rushed thru dinner and had lousy service...I know we won't be going back!!!"

"We went on a Friday night for my husband's birthday. We had a reservation and were seated right away-there were 7 in our group. For apps, the chowder was great and so was the flat bread with figs and goat cheese. Everyone enjoyed their meals and service was pretty good-we had to ask for bread and when someone needed vinegar we waited a while to get that. But they brought out crime brûlée with a candle and everyone sang happy birthday. Overall a nice night-we would return."

"Went for birthday occasion. Menu is well crafted for the area. A college kid can get a reasonably priced burger, or lobster with Lemonchelo cream tortalone to go upscale. Deserts also well executed and imaginative. You can tell Trio takes some fine dining cues from sister resturant Casle Hill Inn, but makes the menu work well in Narraganset. Great drinks as well"

"I've visited Trio quite a few times, both with my family. The first time, last summer, was outstanding, and I was impressed by the ambiance and the service, and pleased with the variety on the menu. The second time, the food was just as good, but I noticed the menu lacked a lot of the variety I'd noticed before. It had fallen from a more experimental selection (which was outstanding, and done very well) to a much more 'safe' menu something closer to an expensive pub. My mother's risotto was creamy and good, but lacked flavor. The calamari was good, but could have been gotten cheaper and as good at Pub 99. The back dining room was wonderfully quiet, but the front, even separated from the bar, was incredibly loud. I'd go back, but..."

"We were there relatively early on Easter Sunday and had a wonderful meal. We live out of state and have used the restaurant on several occasions when we visit our daughter who is a student at the university. We have found it to be a very pleasurable experience each time with the energy level changing to reflect the time and day we were there. We plan to continue visit the restaurant when we are in the area."

"Dining at Trio was a good experience. Although we both opted for light fare it was tasty and the service was very good. THe harvest salad with grilled chicken was good; the chicken was especially good. We also ordered a side of sauteed spinach with lemon and garlic - good as well. The wine list had a number of good selections and overall it was a nice evening."

"we had been to Trios last summer and I was not impressed in any way. However I'm happy to say that this time everything was much better. Perhaps they have a new chef? Anyway, I think I would return."

"The food is generally pretty good at Trio, however, I had the risotto special and it tasted like paste. I only had a couple of bites and mentioned to the server that it was bland and pasty and she said " thanks for the feedback. I'll let the chef know". Our party of six all live in the area and have found that Trio has gone downhill."

"We went for the first time on a busy Saturday night during restaurant week. I ordered one of the specials. Unfortunately the meat was over done and had little taste. The potato was under done. The server promptly took away the meal brought me a different meal promptly and took the price of the other meal off the check. I was not charged for the fixed price appetizer or dessert. A nice gesture. I will go back, my companions enjoyed their meals. But far from a perfect first visit."

"Drove three hours to take my daughter out for her birthday and found this wonder this wonderful place. she is attending URI! I have to say this place is by far the best price and food. We all had a different dish, fish, scallops, chicken and even a burger and everyone was more than satisfied. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice relaxing reasonably priced restaurant.
Thank you they even brought out a little dessert for my daughter at no cost. Thank you again TRIO for making our dining experience wonderful."

"We had a very enjoyable evening. Our server, Callie, was very accomodating and sweet and very helpful. My only complaint was the calamari. It was very dry and did not contain many"bodies" which I really like. Other than that, it was fine. Thank you."

"Absolute perfection! From the ambience to the food, to the service, simply fabulous! Went for a Valentine's Day dinner with my wife and we fell in love. The decor was very elegant and very romantic. The food was extrodanary! I highly recommend the beef! My wife had the lobster ravioli and she loved it! We were extremely pleased with our choice to spend a great Valentine's Day. Sara, our server was an amazing waitress who was extremely attentive to detail. What a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it!"

"My first time at TRIO and we were not disappointed. The food was very good, portions were healthy and not overpowering. The atmosphers as well as service was outstanding and the servers very helpful with their recommendations. I was very impressed with the number of guests as the eveing was less than appealing from the weather aspect; heavy fog and it was not a short around the block excursion. I would imagine it is a jumping place in the summer because of its ideal location (a short walk up from the ocean) and a great place to meet friends for a casual or more romantic evening. We will be back!"

"Overall the food and service were excellent. I had the flat iron steak which had an amazing sear on it, the bearnaise sauce was unnecessary since the steak was so good on its own. The lyonnaise potatoes rocked too.
We ordered the shrimp and grits and the seared scallop small plates. Both needed salt. We tasted, then added salt, and it was like night and day. They were great after the addition."
