"We ordered a few appetizers. The mussels were good. The calamari was not so good. The portions were plentiful, but the calamari tasted like the oil it was cooked in. It was not crispy and some pieces were very chewy. The pasta was very good. The portions are decent for the price. Our waiter, Steve, was very good."

"Food and service was great! Only problem we had was the Noise Level, had a group next to us and they were so load we could not hear any of our own conversations at the table. We have been here several times with family and friends and the Noise Level has really been bad."

"Often enjoy the OC for lunch and although dinner was overall an enjoyable experience, I felt 'rushed' for a Friday night out. The wait-person was not impatient, per se...but at the ready to hurry the order through--did not offer suggestions for appetizers or drinks/wines. Was pleasant, but again was in a hurry to remove plates--that the group was still 'picking at'...I left there feeling the opposite of relaxed. As for the future, I'll be sticking to lunch."

"Very large and loud restaurant. Food is pretty good for such a large restaurant. Good for groups . Quite reasonable prices for the amount and quality of the food. Our waiter Steve was very good, accommodating and "there" when needed without being overbearing at all.
I would definitely go back altho I am a bit apprehensive about "in season" reservations being honored in a timely fashion."

"i asked for a private table so we could have a special dinner for our anniversary but they acted like they knew nothing about it. so i don't know if they got the message from open table or not. the wait staff made the place look like a sports bar. plain tee shirts with jeans. we were crowded sitting at small table but our server was very knowledgeable. my wife really enjoyed her meal but i would not order mine again. don't think this place is a place for romantic nights. i was not impressed at all"

"We love OC and enjoy taking guests there because the menu is so good. My personal favorite is the salmon with fregola, but I had a fish special the other night which was fantastic. Others in our party enjoyed seafood risotto, zuppa di pesce and grilled scallops. Every person was delighted with their dinner and impressed by the fast and courteous service."

"My husband and I absolutely LOVED the striped bass special. The bass was grilled to a perfect crispness on the outside and juicy, flaky, and tender inside. It came over mixed grains and greens, and was so flavorfully seasoned. It is challenging to find this quality of food in Wilmington, NC and we love this restaurant. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and we can use as much olive oil, salt and pepper as we desire. The fontina fig bruschette was exquisite, too! WE absolutely LOVE this place!"

"The food at Osteria Cichetti was delicious! The service was very good and our server seemed to be to be very knowledgeable of wine and menu options! It was crowded which I always perceive to be a good thing. We were in town for a half-marAhon, so we chose here for our "pasta dinner". The portions are large enough to share (my sister and I shared the Puttanesca Bolognese. It was so delicious, we got takeout the next day. My sister had the mushroom risotto and I had the margherita pizza that were fabulous. We had the hearts of romaine salad and the spinach, pear, walnut salad. I would definitely recommend if going back to Wilmington! We made reservations in advance (since it was a race weekend) and I'm glad we did!"

"We have been to Osteria Cicchetti on several occasions. The food is always delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was a little half-hearted and we were promised fresh bread which did not appear until we asked for a second time. The only negative was the location of our table - I had a nice view into the kitchen (Table 73) This table should not be used unless an absolute emergency. I have experienced bad seatings at other restaurants when I book through Open Table and hope this is not so as I love Open Table. In any event, we will definitely go back."

"Food is excellent as always. One complaint which is almost constant: the entree is served before the salad is half-way eaten. One should not feel so rushed at a fine restaurant. "After never visiting Osteria Cicchetti, I was very pleased at what I saw when entering the restaurant. I had a reservation for 2, me and my long time girlfriend for a romantic Valentines Day Dinner. The Ambiance and feel was amazing, it seemed like the place to be on Valentines Day! I was however, dissapointed in the choice of seating we received, being seated right next to (within arms reach) of 2 other couples, which made me and my date seem unimportant and cramped. Our table had a nice appearance and the waittress, appetizers, and dinner meal were very good! I would love to come back and recommend Osteria Cicchetti to friends, but fear I will be seated in the same spot."

"Despite the fact that it was Valentine's Day and the restaurant was full, our service was excellent and we never felt as if we were being rushed. Normally we avoid the holiday crowd, but we had out-of-town visitors and they were extremely impressed. Food, as usual, was excellent."

"The place was suggested to us by a local friend for excellent Italian and seafood. However I decided to order a vegetarian dish- eggplant with fontina over shells. It was absolutely delicious. I will try to replicate the dish at home myself. The lighting in the place was not that good for me as I depend heavily on proper lighting to see my peers however it may work well for a romantic setting. This is an affordable place for well dining foodies."

"The food is excellent and the prices are extraordinarily reasonable. But the service needs improving. We are by no means slow diners, but the feeling of being rushed is a constant problem here. We have never had a chance to finish our salad before the pasta dish arrives.
If the restaurant were crowded we could understand. But it wasn't. And our server neglected to tell us of the evening specials.
We will still return, but we keep hoping that we won't be rushed out the door. This is the only one of the group's restaurants that has this problem. Please fix it! Thanks."

"Our party of 7 included a 7 year old, 10 year old, and 14 year old, and in the words of our 7 year old guest, "I'll remember this night forever!" The food was excellent (lasagna, chicken piccata, pasta bolognese, and pizza-both four cheese and pepperoni), and the service was great. We were able to enjoy our meal followed by desserts, and never once felt rushed, despite the long line of folks we saw as we exited the restaurant an 1 1/2 hours later. We will definitely return the next time we are in Wilmington, and have already recommended it to family members who are local."
