"We took some out of town guests to the restaurant and loved our food. The service especially from our waitress, Diane was excellent she is one of the best that we have ever seen. She is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with a cheerful disposition. The bartender, Luis is also great to deal with and friendly. We only regret that they took out our favorite wine, Estancia."

"I will start this off by saying I'm very stingy with my 5 stars. Perfection is hard to achieve. That being said The C came close. Portioning was spot on. Left satisfied. I had the scallops. Absolutely marvelous. My wife had the sturgeon. Sturgeon on a menu is not common and my wife raved about it. On a bed of lentils. Reminded her of a risotto with more tooth.
Service was remarkable. Pleasant, professional, unobtrusive. If Diane is working the night you go, ask for one of her tables.
View of the bay is very appealing. Makes the restaraunt feel larger than it is. Sitting next to the window you don't notice other diners necessarily. Feels more intimate.
Guitarist playing helped with the intimate atmosphere.
Would definitely return."

"We went to the C Restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was excellent. I am all about quality, not quantity. The presentation was pleasing and the ingredients were fresh with just enough spice. The waiter was a good sport and sang happy birthday to my husband when presenting our dessert. It was a lovely evening."

"This place was great. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, the hostess was friendly and accommodating and the view was spectacular. My husband and I went for our 10th anniversary and they made it special. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area."

"This is a lovely spot for brunch, with a view of the ocean. Menu for brunch was a mix of classic brunch dishes (we had the eggs benedict and lamb hash and each was perfectly prepared) and seafood oriented salads and other lunch dishes. There seemed to be only one waiter for the entire restaurant and a second waiter covering tables on the patio. We waited a long time for coffee and our check."

"We love C Restaurant. We sit on the deck with our chocolate lab. Try the calimari with green beans and meyer lemons and smokey garlic aoili--delicious. Francesca, the waitress is very fun. The waves crash under the deck and the flame heaters keep you warm. We alway go back to C, when we are in Monterey."

"What a great restaurant! We had a party of 6 and were seated right by the windows with a gorgeous view of the Monterey Bay! With such a view, some restaurants might take the easy way out and skimp on food or quality; not the case here! The portions were perfectly filling and the entire table was more than pleased with each of their meals. We've each vowed to come back soon. Salvador was our waiter and made our experience so much more personal and relaxing. Great food, great service, easy (free) valet parking! I had the roasted chicken breast and it was perfect. I also tried bites of the scallops and rib-eye and all was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The fondue dessert was the icing on the meal."

"The service was outstanding! The food was amazing. The chef even made a special appetizer for us after our waiter recommended the diver scallops. The atmosphere was quiet and the view was gorgeous. We went for dinner and came back for breakfast after a not so stellar meal the following evening at another restaurant. It was really a wonderful experience!"

"There was an unobstructive view of Monterey Bay. The evening views were spectacular and very romantic. The food was middle of the road. I've had better and I've had worse. We started with a Calamari appeitizer. It was prepared nicely and had a nice fried coating. My dining companion had the local fish similar to Salmon in taste. She thought the fish was well prepared but did not like the greens that were served on top. I believe one of the greens was escarole. She said it was to bitter. I had the pasta with Smoked Sardines. The pasta was cooked with sun dried tomatoes and and the Sardines were chunked into the pasta (not Whole). Overall the dish was flavorful but could have used a little less olive oil."

"Outstanding location right on Monterey bay with large windows giving a great view. Water and delicious warm bread infused with rosemary plus goat cheese butter with garlic were brought pronptly. Sturgeon on a bed of ancient grains wqas delicious as was the salad with several types of beets and candied walnuts. Dessert was sinful; a chocolate fondue with strawberries, dried apricots,marshmallows, peppermint marshmallows and madelines."

"Very lovely view on the Monterey Bay conveniently next to the aquarium. Wonderful sustainable seafood along with other excellent choices. The calamari appetizer is more than ample for lunch. Rave reviews from my friend who chose the burger. The swordfish sandwich was a winner. Grilled veggie so-so. Too heavy on goat cheese and pesto, light on veggies. Service can be a bit slow, but they allowed me to sit at our table while three friends tried to find parking. I asked and was told 3-hour validated parking is available with paid dining receipt. Made all the difference in my out-of-town visitors' experience. Will definitely go back and take more guests."

"The C Restaurant has excellent food, great service, and reasonable prices (except perhaps on Valentine's Day!). We usually go for the Prix Fixe special as it can easily be shared between a couple; the kitchen will actually split it for you and present it on separate plates which is a nice touch. If you want something other than the Prix Fixe special, the C has plenty to offer, from great steaks to fantastic seafood like jumbo pan-seared scallops and grilled swordfish. We've never been disappointed with the food; great quality locally sourced and very creative offerings!"

"What a great spot this was! You can't beat being right on the bay in Monterey! Loved eating here- great bar- If you are trying to save a few $$ go for their happy hour - the nibbles are delicious- I loved the flight of sparkling wines and the beer choices on draft are good. Enjoy a sunset or otter siting."
