"First time there, on a Wednesday, so not many others there, about 5 other tables. One waiter working the room. Service was still very good. Here comes the "but" ... Took a long time for the food to be served and the spices used on the rice and potatoes was a bit overwhelming. Will definitely go again, perhaps on a busier night."

"We had a great meal with great service. The staff was happy to accommodate items that were not on the menu. Overall a great experience in a fabulous location. The ocean front location provided a wonderful sunset view over the Pacific. The main dining room was quiet and the staff was attentive. The wedge salad was superb. Our daughter loved the chicken tenders and french fries her al time favorite. And the prime rib was the special and done to perfection."

"I booked this dinner as a surprise for my wife because it was our 20th anniversary. They sat us at window seat with a fantastic view of the coast. We meet the executive chef and the manager were very nice and wished us a happy anniversary. I can't say one wrong thing to the entire staff at Trump. Wonderful experience and food. I will return and bring my friends"

"Everything about this restaurant was outstanding. From the time I made the reservation until the time to pay the check and leave. The restaurant was very accommodating to bring in the extra large round table with comfortable chairs to seat all ten of us as requested. The chef also obliged us with vegetarian options from the dinner menu even though we were there for lunch. The desserts were to die for and the coffee came out piping hot as desired.Will give it five stars. The ocean view was an added bonus. Thank you."

"My friends and I were celebrating a birthday. We had champagne in the bar prior to our dinner. The entire experience from champagne to espresso was amazing!We went early so we could relax and enjoy the view. The atmosphere, service and food was excellent. My husband got eggplant Parmesan and it was good but too cheesy. Our waitor was excellent and he did make us aware of the cheesy preparation of this dish. "Most amazing brunch I've ever been to! There is a full-blown sashimi bar with ahi, yellowtail, salmon, halibut, and albacore, plus hand rolls, cut rolls, and sushi. Also had poached salmon, jumbo boiled shrimp, and large crab claws. Our champagne glasses were kept full; the bubbly was a Spanish Cava. It was my husband's birthday and we were seated at a window table for two. The dessert bar was awesome too. My husband is not as much of a seafood eater as I am; he enjoyed the short ribs, prime rib, veggies, and breakfast items. Great bacon! The only downside is the price. I think it's worth it, but at almost $200 for two with tip, it isn't a brunch we'll be doing for anytime other than special occasions."

"This was our second visit. We brought a couple of fickle friends to challenge their palates. They found all aspects of the dining experience to be exceptional, most of all, the great serving staff.
The calamari was hot and tender in delicate batter. The lamb was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The double think pork chops were juicy with a great smoky flavor. And the Chilean Sea Bass was delicate and flaky infused with multiple layers of complimentary flavors. Job well done!!
Scenic view of the ocean and live music at a VERY reasonable level is greatly appreciated. It adds to the overall ambiance.
This restaurant should be more popular and busy, but it is still a hideaway. So take advantage of it before the secret gets out!!"

"We had out of town guests to visit with for the afternoon before they continued their journey on to Hong Kong and eventaully to Vietnam and Cambodia (to revisit locations he experienced in the Vietnam conflict as a young man). The couples both enjoy golf and wanted "somewhere special". We could not have been more impressed with the view, the cuisine, the service and the view. It was a gorgeous warm Thursday afternoon with clear blue skies and unlimited visibility. Catalina Island looked "close enough to reach out and touch". Awesome!"

"My wife and I was looking for a "dressy night out." We found it. The vibe is upscale, but welcoming. From the valet to the doorman to the hostess, there was a genuine feeling of "thanks for coming out, we're glad you're here." The service was very good, but not pretentious. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and took good care of us.
The menu is safe, but very well done. Everything from the appetizer, to the soup and then salad and entree was excellent. We had an amazing pasta dish and an equally fantastic desert of three creme brule.
If you've visited Trump's in the past, as we have, try it again. They've really settled in well and improved the menu and the look and feel of the room."
