Emeril's Tchoup Chop
Emeril's Tchoup Chop (pronounced chop-chop) is the hottest table in Orlando, and Lagasse's second location at Universal Studios. The name offers a hint of New Orleans' famous Tchoupitoulas Street, home to Emeril's flagship restaurant, and the bold culinary term "chop". Located at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando, Emeril's Tchoup Chop offers a dining experience unlike any other created by the famous master chef. In both atmosphere and menu, Emeril's Tchoup Chop offers diners a unique and exotic journey through the Pacific Seas with a delicious experience of Asian and Polynesian influences complemented by his signature bold flavors - a perfect complement for the Royal Pacific Resort. Although walk-ins can be accommodated, reservations are highly recommended. Our dress policy is casual with no tank tops for men. "I took my wife here for Mother's Day at 530 pm early enough to beat the crowd, thinking this would be a real treat, but the kitchen took far too long to put out our food. The server was fine but when the food finally came out ( mind you there were maybe three tables seated at the same time so there was no reason for the long delay )everything tasted of salt! I enjoy salt, but as an enhancer to bring out flavor this was too much. Especially for a fine dinning expensive restaurant, the food was not worth the exorbitant pricing. Needless to say we were both very disappoint with the whole experience and will not eat there again."

"It's Emeril, so of course the food was great...except one dish. My daughter's teriyaki chicken came out without teriyaki sauce and her rice was very undercooked. They brought her some sauce on the side, which does not then make it grilled teriyaki chicken, and tried to tell us that if rice sits too long under the heat lamp that it can dry out. This rice was undercooked. It wasn't under the heat lamp. The filet, the braised short ribs and the duck were all phenomenal. We tried the dumplings and pork belly apps and would recommend those as well. Steer clear of the kids brownie sundae dessert (too sweet) and split with the family the Kaluha Cake. All of this was costly but enjoyable and they kindly removed the chicken from our bill thankfully."

"One of the most beautifully decorated restaurants I've been in. Every detail of the decor was perfectly thought out and executed. Good food & service. My tenderloin cut like butter :) dinner for two, no alcohol, was about $120 including tip. I recommend for a special occasion or romantic evening. Parking is a bit of a pain, unless you valet. The restaurant is on the first floor by the pool of the resort. Strange location. We enjoyed our meal and will go back."

"This was a welcome addition to our typical stops at Universal. The food was wonderful! Very well prepared, interesting recipes, lovely presentation. Overall a great find. We had the kids with us (7, 10 and 12) and they were able to order great food as well. Martinis were lovely and wine was delis!"

"Great decor!!! Very cool, drinks and app's were very good good, only got the Pad tai as dinner it was good- a little bland, but not like the apps. We got the crab cake, tempura shrimp and the spring rolls. All in all will be going back at our next visit. Service was the very good. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating."

"Hello: beautiful restaurant inside. We were seated at a booth right near the front door. On a warm humid day, every time someone would walk in and bring in the warm air with them into the air conditioned space, sweeping right by our table. There should be a "welcome to our restaurant" part of the front door, where the breezes from anyone coming in from outside are stopped.
The pink crispy things for dipping into the spicy peanut sauce were the least favorite part of the dinner. Also not appreciated - we ordered the creme brulee for dessert and we were served three small bowls filled with awful soupy concoctions of their take on creme brulee. I expected creme brulee, not soupy sugar. Entrees were very good, service was attentive."

"The environment is beautiful! I love the decor and the lighting. I also loved the service. The food was par. For the prices and for the Emeril's Title I expected more flavor. All in all I would leave this place up to a special date night and hit up Citywalk after a good meal."

"No surprise that the food was delicious. Starting with the steamed pork dumplings and throughout dinner it was one of those meals where we wanted to savor every bite. I had the sake braised beef short ribs which were melt in your mouth tender and my wife had the duck breast which was also tender and juicy. So many flavors. The atmosphere was comfortable with low lighting and a noise level that allowed us to talk in a normal voice. The service was excellent. Not intrusive but there when we were ready. The surprise was the the value. The meals were very affordable especially compared to the prices we've become accustomed to at the parks. Overall it was a wonderful way to cap off the celebration of our wedding anniversary."

"On vacation in Orlando with my husband and two daughters we decided to try Emeril's Tchoup Chop. I read some reviews that were not favorable so was a bit apprehensive but the night was a success. First I must add that our server, Miguel provided us with the BEST service we experienced the entire week and we dined at Shula's, Narcoossee's, and Il Mulino's to name a few. He was helpful, attentive, friendly and never missed a beat. The menu choices were good, the kids menu had lots of options and the cocktails were great. The restaurant decor/design is beautiful. While I would not say that everything we ordered was the best we have ever had, the food was quite good and it was overall an enjoyable night. Glad we visited Tchoup Chop!"

"Sent photos to manager.
Parking instructions wrong on web site. Takes 1.5 hours using wrong directions to get to restaurant with a wheelchair. Valet service is no longer at Pacifica Ballroom entrance, and the signs are wrong that are up. We were later than we wanted to be for lunch despite getting their 2 hours early, and the kitchen was closed before we ordered takeout, which we wanted after our lovely lunch."

"Tchoup chop is a wonderful restaurant. The decor is fantastic and even when the restaurant is full the noise level doesn't get too high. As for the food it is amazing in my opinion. All of the dishes ordered by my friends and I came out as we had requested am tasted great. Our server and his assistant were excellent as well, taking care of all our needs in a quick and polite manner."

Seats are uncomfortable, from the bar stools to the tables with the pillow backs.
Food was very good. Everyone enjoyed everything we ate. Only thing I would add would be more pork belly to the pork belly appetizer. It was pretty much all bun with two or three little pieces of pork belly. Though what there was of it was good. Crab and corn souffle was great. The duck entree was great. So was the surf and turf special that night."

"Our food was served lukewarm and needed seasoning The noodles and my wife's shrimp dish were dry and oboiiously not cooked to order. I ordered the bouillabaisse which was a real small serving lacking flavor. I'm amazed that an international recognized chef would be associated with a restaurant with such a lack of execution in the kitchen."

"Had always wanted to try, we live in Orlando and we love Emeril's. We had a business dinner and I took a chance and booked here. The food was fine, our guests enjoyed it, but my husband and I did not find it worth a future visit. We love excellent food, and this is a good restaurant that was fine, but a one and done experience. Emeril's at city walk is far superior."

"Had a great day at Universal Studios & took the boat over to Tchoup Chop for dinner. There were 6 adults in our party. From the moment we sat down our experience was sublime. The drinks, the appetizers, the entrees , and finally dessert were original, fresh, & creatively presented. Our wait staff was attentive yet not overbearing. Every question- and we had a bunch- was completely answered. Suggestions when requested were right on the money and intelligently delivered. I eat out a fair amount & when on vacation expect a lot from my outings. This restaurant exceeded my expectations & made me look like a freaking genius to those dining with me. It's not just dinner....it's a "dining experience"!!!"

"By far the best dining experience of our entire vacation and one of the best ever! Food, drinks, service, and ambience all blended into a dining sensation. Worth every penny and we felt the menu was not grossly overpriced. The scallops/lamb chop "surf and turf" special was incredible, as was everything else! Highly recommended."

"My family (husband, two elementary school aged kids) and I had dinner here during our Orlando vacation. It was a terrific and memorable meal. Our server, Aaron, clearly enjoys his job and was glad to offer his suggestions for our meal. I started with the pork belly appetizer, and every bite was outstanding. My husband had a lamb chop and bacon-wrapped scallop surf and turf that he described as well-cooked, nicely flavored and yummy. Although a foodie sort of restaurant, there was a children's menu...our kids had shrimp scampi linguine and were happy....kid portions were not large, though. The restaurant is stunning and I was glad we had brought nicer clothes to wear, although there seemed to be a range."

"We went there to celebrate my daughter's engagement.
The ambiance is unmatched anywhere. It's stunning.
The food was delicious and plated beautifully.
For the first two courses, everything was perfect. The food, the service
and the timing. But when it came time for the dessert, they seemed to fall apart.
My daughter and future son-in-law ordered tea.
The pot of hot water and cups were brought over, but not
the tea. We had to ask twice for the tea. By then,
the water was no longer hot. My son ordered Espresso,
which was extremely expensive for the tiniest espresso
that we ever saw that also was very late in being brought
out and we had to ask again. The Kahlua cake was
delicious, however, the Banana creme pie had no flavo"

"Nothing bad to say. Enjoyed everything about this place. I will remember to wear a light jacket next time but other than that it was a perfect night. Great prices for awesome food. I eat at 4 and 5 star places all over the world and this is easily in the top 5 for me. Can't wait to try more entrees."

"Overall our experience was pretty good. The waiter was attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere was good. The food was disapointing. We thought this would be more Asian in flavor and taste but the native Asisan's that were in our party did not like the food so much. I think they need to promote themselves as more of a fusion American/Asian. Definately expensive. Wasn't bad but wouldn't go back."

"It's Universal so it's HUGE! Opentable worked like a charm. My wife called the restaurant from the property and couldn't get anything until late! I signed on to Opentable and got seating for my family of 4 @ 6 pm! As she was on the phone trying to get the 6 I stole it and the hostess even told her " someone just got it"!"
