"We use to be served by a waiter named David, who was awesome, when we called and asked to be seated in his area, we were told he was no longer there, when we arrived the lady who greeted us was very friendly and of course the Manager is also so pleasant, our new waiter who had only been there a short time, was very friendly, super attentive and a really nice person."

"The staff and food were exceptional. This was the best meal and dining experience I've had in quite some time. Everything I had (soup, tuna appetizer, oysters, scallops) was spectacular. And I eat out a lot.
Put this on the must do list"

"Our waiter Jeremy was very good. he didn't touch the water glass where you drink, handed us knew silverware with a napkin. very 5 star (which is hard to find in a local restaurant) both my husband and I had the prix fix meal and loved it. the dessert was rum cake and I was able to swap out chocolate cake ...very good food and good prices too."

"I planned an early Fathers Day for my husband at Brick&Bottle. We were delighted by our food choices and were the most impressed by the service we received. We were treated like royalties by our server. Highly recommend this place and will go back again. Rosalva MacQuarrie"

"We booked a last minute reservation for 8. We were greeted and seated promptly. Wait staff was attentive and quick. Wother this many people usually someone is unhappy, but everyone enjoyed their meal. My little cousin even got ice cream on the house, and the birthday girls dessert was on the house. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back."

"We went for a Mother's Day Brunch, which was a buffet offering. The food, as is usual at this restaurant, was great. There were a number of offerings including carved roast beef, a delicious beet salad and deserts too numerous to mention. The weather was great and we had an outdoor table which was perfect for the day. We did not feel crowded or rushed and the staff was great. All in all, a wonderful brunch which I would definately do again."

"Driving by on the freeway you see a simple sign. Even within the shopping area the Brick is a bit set back, tucked away in a corner. But once you go inside it is a completely different place, filled with vibrant energy, great food and friendly service. We could not have been happier with our experience which started in the bar for happy hour while watching the Giants and Sharks and then moved to a wonderful dinner and dessert."

"We had a party of 4 on a Saturday night and and had a great time. We had a leisurely drink in the bar before dinner. Service was prompt and the drinks were well made. Dinner was tasty. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, and and it was a good value. The gnocchi with heirloom pork sugo made me think of the sugo de cingale we had in Tuscany. The petrale with crab-mashed potatoes was excellent. Some of the dishes seemed to be take-offs from classic dishes, but updated and well executed with great local ingredients. the service was great as well. i don't normally write such a glowing review as I'm pretty picky and have been in this business for a long time (jaded)but we had a really great time."

"Paid over $325 for 5 people on Mother's Day - guess that's to be expected. We also dined here last Mothers Day - they almost doubled the price from 2012! Food was luke warm & scattered all over the place. I wanted some bacon w/ my French toast but all gone - you'd think they'd have enough bacon! Anyway very disappointed & won't be back next year."

"We enjoyed an appetizer of mussels, a specialty salad, and the salmon entree. The selections were flavorful and attractively presented. The atmosphere is casually elegant, with attentive but not overbearing service. We found the noise level to be higher than we prefer due to the packed bar. Next time we will ask to be seated outdoors."

"Food was great. Disappointed there was no creamed spinach any more, but the sautéed spinach was delicious. They have also changed the menu a bit and my favorite dessert was off the menu (pot du creme), but the flourless chocolate cake was super creamy and did not disappoint. Service was decent, but we did have to for the sides we ordered and they were out of the chicken entree. The starter salads were well put together and will order this again. Had a nice leisurely dinner with out of town guest for a celebration."

"This was a very special evening for 7 of us and I made the ressie months ago for this purpose. I specifically asked for the small back room so we would be able to talk and more importantly HEAR EACH OTHER. They did not comply but put us iat an oversized table near the bar under a TV. These were all high school friends and we are all turning 70 this year (a special time for us to have a mini reunion with lots of memories). Some of the salads were forgotten and all in all we were treated as an afterthought ."

"Coming back down HWY 101 to SF and wanted something convenient to get to, which this restaurant certainly is. We ordered five small plates rather than a first and second course and they were very well done, especially the grilled shrimp with pureed truffled cauliflower. The gnocchi with lamb sugo was well done, excellent sauce with flecks of black showing that the tomatoes or pepper had been grilled first. The pea ravioli had tough pasta and the peas lacked that fresh pea flavor that is so wonderful in the spring. Grilled asparagus, ham and fried egg reminded me of Andalusia. Freshly baked rolls were excellent with nice crackle to the crust yet soft interior. Service attentive. A fortuitous find and would be happy to go back."

"What I love about B&B is that we were "allowed" to lounge long after we finished our meal, catching-up with my close friends. The server was excellent, attentive, but not too everpresent. In addition, the food was brought out quickly, hot and attractively presented. My rotisserie chicken was a bit dry however, but the orzo gouda mac-n-cheese was excellent, as was the butterscotch pudding. I recommened B&B, and plan on returning in the near future."

"We did enjoy the food for the special Easter Brunch, but made the mistake of not asking the price beforehand when we reserved the table for our family, so we were shocked when we got the bill for $40 per person. There was a good selection, and the food was good, but not worth that much for a brunch."

"The lamb dish is delicious, and the main reason why I would recommend Brick and Bottle to my friends. The petrale sole was uninteresting. For dessert I had tiramisou and found it boring and heavy. This is a dish that should have a lot of flavour, when the one I ate tasted of cream only. Why not make much smaller portions and concentrate on making them excellent. Other people in our group had different desserts, but also found the portions far too large. I have been at the restaurant twice within a month, and found the service too fast. We hardly had time to finish eating when they removed our plates. The atmosphere and staff are nice."

"Excellent and professional waitstaff, greeter and bartender; the specialty cocktails were very nice. The salads and entrees were prepared with care and of high quality. Perfect amount of items on the menu that did not offer a confused palette. Bananas Foster could stand to be improved though- could've been homemade by a 12th grader...
Noise rating would have been lower except on this particular night there were several ear-piercing children screeching at the top of their lungs..."

"Pretty empty when we were there. Service was fine and the dinner was good. Not much atmosphere, but we sat in the first room, maybe the back room has more going on. All in all a decent dinner at a pretty reasonable price."

"Seems like it needs a good cleaning. Portions are very small for the prices. Servers were friendly and present but forgetful. Food tasted very good. Shocked that all kids food is only offered with fries. We had to order a salad and vegetables for extra $$$. Seems like they are tightening the budget by charging a lot and making portions small. That's fine for much of the Marin crowd but not us."

"I went to Brick and Bottle for Valentine's Day. They offered both a Prix Fix and a la carte options which I appreciated. I found the food to be very good and the service was excellent. The decor didn't blow me away, but it wouldnt stop me from returning again. Overall I would recommend it highly."

"We came here on Valentine's Day. Although it was very crowded we received excellent and attentive service, normally from our server, but when she was preoccupied another server would step in and help us. Impressive.
I've always liked the food here, but thought it was better than ever."

"I loved this place when it was the Savannah Grill and Valentine's evening 2013 was my first visit there since it became Brick and Bottle, a restaurant name so completely ludicrous and inappropriate that I have avoided going there for that reason. The name conjures up objects possibly best used for throwing through windows. We made an early reservation in order to avoid the Valentine dinner throngs and yet the service was unremarkable -- the server did apologize for her inattentiveness citing how busy the place was -- and the noise was so deafening we could not carry on a conversation. I can't remember the food! Maybe a name change -- Brick and Bat? Or Cement and Dish? -- and fewer tables would solve these problems!"
