"My wife and son had an early dinner at Arno last Saturday. Nevertheless, there was a constant churning of parties entering and leaving the area (near the bar), and even more noise in other ares from a play and dancing below that it was impossible to relax. The wine list is very expensive and based on our sampling by the glass overpriced. The food varied from slightly over-cooked swordfish to wonderful baked mozzarella. While the service was very attentive, it did not compensate for the bustle around us and the variable food quality."

"Arno was a pleasant dining experience. My swordfish pasta special was delicious. My husband's Grouper was a little lackluster. We also had a mozzarella caprese equivalent appetizer and it was decent, although not outstanding. The ricotta cheesecake for dessert was decent as well, but not particularly memorable. All in all, a decent dining experience. We wouldn't have come here without a Resturant.com coupon as the tab was a little steep, especially with the wine. However, I should mention that our waiter was one of the best ones I've ever had. He really made our dining experience above average. Quite the personality."

"I have been going to Arno for years. Although some may not consider it as "hip" or "trendy" (two things you cannot eat) as some other NYC Italian restaurants, Arno is to my mind one of the best in the city. The ambience is real. The food is always great. The service is friendly and the waiters are very knowledgeable and helpful. One of the members of my party asked for one of the specials to be prepared with different ingredients and it was done without hesitation -- and perfectly.
I have never had a bad meal at Arno and I don't expect that I ever will. Put this place on your short list. You won't be disappointed."

"This is the fourth year in a row we have visited Arno while in NYC. The food is wonderful and comforting, the ambiance is cozy, and we love our waiter, Desi. "The wait staff was the best I have come across in quite a while, courteous, exceeded expectations. One of the waiters did magic trick when presenting the check but it was very tasteful. He also sang in Italian. I would definitely go there again when visiting New York. The food was slightly about average, no pasta on the 2 meals served at my table even though I requested it. I think that there was a language barrier. But don't let that stop you from going to Arno Ristorante."

"We went prior to an event at MSG, which is a few blocks away. The service was excellent and the waiter was helpful in sorting through the specials, providing advice and steering us to the shrimp and calamari salad, veal rollatini, and chicken paillard specials. All werre great. They were out of our first wine choice, but Carlos, the sommelier, substituted a superb Super Tuscan and was very attentive and engaging. Definitely going back."

"Arno was a wonderful treat for us since we had never eated there before. Our waiter Boris was patient,helpful in explaining various dishes on the menu and very attentive. The restaurant does have N.Y. prices but we expected that. The salad and entres were excellant and I would recommend Arno to anyone looking for really good Italian food."

"This was a surprising find. The location just below Times Square makes it a perfect place to have dinner before seeing a Broadway show. The food was very good but the best part of the night was the waiter. He was so friendly, funny and energetic. We had a great time."
