"We decided to skip the brunch scene and celebrate an early Mother's day dinner at The Lodge Restaurant at Black Butte this past weekend. Mom was thrilled with the view, the service and the food. We were seated at a window and had a spectacular view of the meadow and the mountains. Each member of our group was very pleased with his/her meal. Three out of four entrees we ordered came with an excellent butternut squash risotto. Mom said her scallops melted in her mouth. The steak was delicious and the lamb was, perhaps, the best we have had in a long time. We will be back!"

"I think the prices are a tad bit high (thus the overall rating of very good rather than outstanding) but truly the food is delicious so... The filet was melt in your mouth tender and so flavorful. The view is spectacular and we had a wonderful window table where we could really enjoy it including a beautiful sunset. It was quiet enabling us to talk (and hear each other) easily. The waiter was friendly and took great care of us. The hostess and bus boy were very kind and friendly as well."
