"We took my Mother and Grandmother here for Mother's Day. I was pretty disappointed in the food. Especially since the menu was pretty pricey.
I felt the food was highly overpriced for what we received. The muscles did not seem fresh and the veal was very dry and tasteless. The scallops were good.
I thought the service was excellent. Our table was a pop up fold up table. So while we were paying $40 per main course, the ambiance was a disaster"

"We were not overly impressed. We live in the neighborhood and as it was Mother's Day, thought we'd give it another try (earlier trip was disappointing). The service was "casual" for the upscale menu. The food choices were somewhat limited (nothing vegetarian for one person in our party) and vastly overpriced. The preparation was about a six on a ten scale. Not delivered overly hot. After dinner, our server disappeared for about ten minutes. Décor is very uncreative. We won't be back."

"As we were booked through OpenTable Linsey immediately offered myself and all my guests a complimentary glass of champagne (nice touch). Lindsey was our server, and she couldn't have been better. The food, from appetizers to entree's was fantastic. The house Vigilucci merlot was perfect. At the end, Lindsey served us with a small complimentary chocolate dessert tray. What a great feast. This was a business meeting and my guests complimented me on a great choice of restaurant and location. The ambiance was fabulous. The view of watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean was an added treat. Thank you Vigilucci's and Lindsey. I will definitely be back....often! Food was not the cheapest, but without a doubt, worth every penny."

"My wife and I celebrated a special occasion by having dinner Vigilucci's Seafood & Steakhouse. Vigilucci's was perfect. From our booth, we had an incredible ocean view. Maurizio, our superb server, selected an excllent Chianti for us to enjoy. The staff was attentive to our every want. We asked to share a spinach salad (which had a fantastic balsamic dressing). No problem. The menu selections all seemed delicious, but with the help from Maurizio I selected the halibut with risoto. Pure perfection. My wife's ravioli with lobster meat was wonderful as well. It is not often she and I talk about a meal a day or two after, but Vigilucci's was a wonderful experience. Thank you. 5-Stars across the board."

"The food was amazing and the portions were pretty large, which I wasn't expecting. Our server was very friendly, offered suggestions on the wine and, being from Italy, even humored our attempts to converse in Italian. "Vigilucci's is across from the beach in Carlsbad, view of ocean, patio dining. Service is great, and food is better. I love this place, have to go to Carlsbad to eat, wish they had a restaurant in my neighborhood,I would go all the time, if they did.

"Vigilucci's Seafood and Steakhouse scores highly on several key ingredients that make for a great restaurant. The food is excellent and elegantly presented. Service is outstanding with just the right amount of attention. One special touch is that the waitress asked me to cut into my steak before she left so as to ensure that it was prepared to my liking. I appreciated that attention to detail.
The main negative for me about this restaurant is that it is too noisy. Having a conversation without raising one's voice to approaching shouting level is difficult. Also, parking can be a problem since the lot is quite small."

"I took my girlfriend for an awesome dinner. We both looked at the menu and knew exactly what we wanted before we arrived. Our waitress was very knowledgable & suggested to try something new - go figure. We did and it was incredible. This is still one of my favority restaurants for a nice dinner (and lunch as well). Loved it."

"I have been to this restaurant three times and I have always had a great experience. My first complaint about the place was my steak wasn't really seasoned when I recieved but once I told my waitress about it she took it back and had the chef take care of it for me. So overall it was another great experience."

"Fantastic food, fantastic service. It is not a cheap night out, but an overall outstanding experience, well worth the price. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and you can't beat the view. I'm not sure if I'd sit outside only because it there are cars going by on the coast highway, but not the restaurants fault. They do have a high glass enclosure on the patio with heaters, so they mitigate the noise as best as possible. Great ocean views obviously. We'd driven past this place for years and finally decided to try it and happy we did. Highly recommend."

"Food was outstanding. Great view of the Pacific and nice place to bring a customer to show off Carlsbad! Waiter was referring to his notes and usually absent from waitering. Expected better service and had to look for him all the time. Drinks would go empty for 10 minutes or more. Kind of embarassing when you are having a guest in town. Food was excellent."

"I always love dining at Vigilucci's Seafood & Steakhouse and go quite often. I've been there for drinks at the bar, as well as having dinner with a small crowd or a large party. I have never been disappointed and my favorite dish is the "Pappardelle con Funghi e Capesante," which is an incredibly flavorful and delicious ribbon pasta with mushrooms and scallops. I always recommend this great Italian seafood/steak restaurant to many of my friends."

"The ambiance was great. Our service was great. However, we both had the New York Strip and were very disappointed. The steak was terrible for being said to be such high quality beef. It was very chewy and probably the worst New York strip that i've had. The vegtables however were very good and the person I was with added the lobster tail to his strip and that was excellant."

"Visited with friends during a brunch on a Saturday in March. Very accommodating to a group of 10 - which was paired down to 8. Vigilucci's called to confirm the reservation and the number of guests.
