"We were very pleased with the food, wine, service, and ambiance at Harvest on Hudson. Even on a crowded
Sat. night, the staff provided excellent service. Italian red wine choices were very good. We appreciated the pacing of service of our salad, pizza appetizer, and entrees. Salad with arugula, radiccio, and pomegranite seeds was very good. The pizza appetizer was delicious and hot. The Roman pasta was excellent , al dente and seasoned reminiscent of our trip to Rome. The fish special, halibut, was a very small portion, but fresh and mildly seasoned. Coffee was hot but not as strong as we like. Overall, Harvest on Hudson did a fine job with food and service!"

"it may be less chaotic for brunch than for a Saturday night dinner. The daytime outdoor views are probably lovely. The table service was efficient. The young women at the door did not greet us despite there being 4 of them and 2 of us. We were pointed in a general area to sit at the bar. The food was okay. Didn't live up to the hype. I would keep it simple if I go back -- maybe brunch -- and definitely sit out doors during a less busy time. Too loud."

"Went on a special occasion and was not at all disappointed. Excellent food and wine, unobtrusive yet efficient wait-staff, pleasant experience all around. Only negative was neighboring table where one diner insisted on texting all through dinner with an obnoxious ring-tone going off all through dinner. Perhaps restaurant should have a policy on silencing phones but otherwise nothing should be changed about this lovely place."

"We went on a Friday night. They were still running the restaurant week special, which was a pleasant surprise with a 3 course meal for $30. The Salmon Tar Tar was fantastic, as was my wife's skirt steak with bone marrow butter. My wife is gluten free and they were careful to accommodate that need and quickly corrected a mistake from her main dish of having a side with gluten. They have an extensive wine list, however I tried a local lager from the Yonkers Brewing Company which was excellent."

"This was my second time at Harvest. Generally, the food was great, though my entree was disappointing. It was a special: lamb with a panko coating. The panko coating seemed bland and greasy and somehow masked the flavor of the lamb, which I could tell was very good lamb. The potatoes and veggies were all great, but the lamb itself was disappointing. I hate to sound harsh, but it tasted no better than chicken-fried steak at roadside diner. My appetizer and dessert were both fantastic, and the other dishes at the table were all excellent, so I interpreted the lamb as an experiment that didn't work out well. It won't prevent me from coming again. Overall, I was very pleased with the whole experience."

"We had a party of 16 for a family celebration. It was an early reservation, so it was quiet when we arrived and they were all set up for us. The service was superb. We ordered hors d'oerves to share, and the owner sent out a few extras. Each was more interesting and better than the last -- and plentiful. I would urge any diner to order liberally from the starter menu, as you can't go wrong. I shared a pasta dish and the swordfish, both specials, with my husband. Both were excellent. Everyone in our party was very happy -- and full. The young wait staff members could not be more attentive, and everything was truly lovely. We ended the occasion by taking family pictures outdoors, with the gorgeous Hudson River sunset as the backdrop."

"I have been here for dinner twice and both times I've been so impressed with the food. The grilled octopus appetizer is a must try and I had the skirt steak with bone marrow butter. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The vanilla pana cotta was the perfect dessert to end a meal. Service is excellent. I really liked the fact that if someone left the table, the waiter would come by and fold that person's napkin and place it on the table. The last time I went, there was a group of 3 musicians who played light spanish music during dinner which really added to the ambiance. As for the view, you can't beat it. Harvest on Hudson impessed me so much that I have even booked my wedding here! Visit Harvest on Hudson, you wont regret it."

"Everything was fine as far as Service, Ambiance, & very good location with a view,& the entree's that were provided were prepared very well & were delicious. This could truely be a great restuarant, if only it would lighten up a bit on pricing everything on the high side. The entree's were very good but did not come with a salad or side dish & the side dishes, that were not listed on menu, were too pricey. A small side of pasta was $10, which I declined. The entree was delicious but the spatzle that came with it was so small it was hidden under the fish. A tablespoon of spatzle just doesn't do it for me. The well prepared entree needs to be complimented well, with an adaquate side like other popular up-scale restaurants I frequently go to."

"Not Up To Its Usual Standards. We usually have a good to very good meal at Harvest. Last night it just made fair. I had the ahi tuna and my husband had the bronzino. The fish just was not bringing any taste revelations. Very bland. The panna cotta was more gelatinous than creamy. Nothing special. The service was impeccable and the ambiance, as always, was lovely. It's difficult to beat the water views and the outside garden patio twinkling with inviting lights. For that experience alone and the lively quality to the restaurant, it's worth the trip. With some quality control on the food, Harvest will spring back to food destination of choice as well."

"A very nice experience on all counts. VERY busy on a Saturday night, but nothing was compromised. I personally like a little more intimate venue, but that is a personal preference. Everything was outstanding. I took my parents for their birthdays and made the reservation online. Upon arriving I didn't mention anything. "Superb meal. The restaurant week offerings were excellent. The caramelized Brussels sprout risotto and the lamb spring rolls were to die for. The poached halibut was thoughtfully presented with a soup spoon to ensure the broth was part of each bite. The skirt steak was cooked to the exact degree of doneness requested and very flavorful. While still a little chilly to dine outside, we were seated right next to an open door overlooking the Hudson River and a gorgeous sunset. All in all an excellent birthday dinner for my wife."

"Lots of large groups with the noise level so high that it was virtually impossible to have a normal conversation. The Bruchetta was simply tomatoes in a piece of toasted bread. The Italian fish soup was delicious. Service was good and deserts were free as the staff acknowledged the noise problem. We will try again in the summer when you can sit outside, but definitely not Saturday evening again."

"We've eaten at Harvest many times over the years since it opened, and we've always known it as a reliable place, with good but not great food and pretty slow service. We always went for the view, not the food. But our meal on Easter was notably different. The choice of foods available was extensive and creative, including the kids' options. Our waiter was attentive without being annoying, and the pace of the meal was just right. The food was a real highlight. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the oysters through the steaks and pasta dishes. Superb! We will go back again SOON -- and not just for the view."
