"I'm a server at a high end restaurant/bar in CT...so I can be critical at times. The lighting was perfect, romantic, and the booth we were at was intimate. Food was...okay. I had the stuffed peppers, but expected something a little more unique (nothing outstanding over the stuffed peppers I make at home).
Service (my area of expertise) was "so-so." Our server was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, but I'm pretty sure he may have been the only server on this night. For a Thursday, they should have had more servers scheduled...and it was clear he was suffering. Drink refills took a very long time and after giving the server my credit card, it took 25 minutes to bring the bill back to me.

"It the restaurant was not so busy even though it was a friday...we just missed the crowd as there was a show this evening at the casino...we opted to order some appetizers and a pizza alone with some cocktails.....we ordered the calamari ,mussels,and eggplant along witha tomato , mozzarella and basil pizza....I can't complain the service was excellent and all 3 appetizers were excellent along with the pizza....there were 3 in the party and still were not able to finish all the food ...I would recommend this restaurant to anyone...great atmosphere, in the center of all that's happening in MGM...cocktails were excellent also as a side note"

"We made reservations for 6:00 pm. As we arrived we were welcomed and escorted to our Reserved table.
Wonderful warm fresh Italian bread and olive oil was served as well ice water.
The food was delicious. Our server was sweet, professional and very helpful.
This was our second time and we will definitely come back.

"Very pleased with selection for a special night. From host greeting to chat with waiter at end of meal, everything was great. Waitstaff was attentive but not bothersome; wine was great; waiters suggestion of special of the night turned out to be a very delicious and satisfying meal.

"My husband had the veal saltimbocca and he said it was the best he ever had. I had the Chittara Shrimp Fra Diavolo, perfectly cooked pasta and tender shrimp. The waiter was very accommodating when I asked him to give me a sauce with less heat. We were lucky to have the bruschetta of the day made with fresh creamy mozzarella and baby basil. Alta Strada is becoming our favorite restaurant at Foxwoods."

"We always go to Alta Strada when we are at Foxwoods. Wonderful meals without spending a ton of money. We went on a Monday night which is generally a slow night. This night however, was very busy so service was a bit slow. They changed the menu so some of our favorites were gone, but everything we ordered was equally good."

"This used to be one of our favorite restaurants but not after last night. The background music was too noisy, & service was terrible. We sat for an extraordinary long time before our presence was acknowledged, waiting too long for service, bread, drinks, dinner, etc. It took much too long for our dinner order to arrive, and when it did three were correct but one was wrong - we ordered Chicken Milanese and were given Chicken Parmesan. We sent it back and by the time it arrived everyone was finished with their dinner. It ended up being packed for us to take home, but we strongly feel we should not have been charged for this dinner or our entire experience. If the food wasn't so good we probably would not return. VERY DISAPPOINTED"

"We checked into all the restaurants at Foxwoods before going there. We chose Alta Strada because it was priced reasonably and we were familiar with Michael Schlow's work. The food was delicious and the staff, from the greeter to our servers, were very attentive. I would recommend Alta Strada to anyone going to Foxwoods."

"Service was fair at best. Waited 15 minutes for drinks after ordering. No water or bread until we asked for it. One basket of bread for 8 people. Then waited for the oil. Kept bringing glassware out. We must have had 30 glasses on the table. Bruschetta app was overcooked. Had to ask for my side dish as it was not brought out with my meal. Needed extra place setting. Had to ask. Salmon entree overcooked. Overall not good. Will not go back. Oh and a cocktail is 12 bucks at the bar. Really? It isn't Vegas people."
