"My dad and I had a fabulous father's day meal at Moro. We chose the four-course chef's tasting menu. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Our favorite course was a seared white fish with a curried leek sauce. Our waiter was also very friendly. Moro for father's day is quickly becoming a family tradition.
My only comment is that I would suggest going on a week day or arriving early on a Friday or Saturday. While the restaurant was quiet when we arrived at 6:00 on a Friday, it quickly filled up and by the end of our meal was quite loud. The restaurant is understandably popular, and the seating area is not all that large, so if you're looking for a quiet, laid back meal, you should consider your timing."

"Was looking for somewhere new to go eat for our anniversary dinner. Tried Moro and loved it. We started at the bar while our table was getting ready. Drinks were good & atmosphere was welcoming. Once seated we were pleased with the table location. It was a half circle booth which was rather romantic. Our server was extremely helpful and prompt. We ordered the veal meatballs from the small plate to share. It was very flavorful with a spicy kick. We then each had a Caesar salad. For entrees I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered a ribeye that was a special. Both were very good. The ribeye was amazing!!!! For dessert we hands medley of chocolate. Desserts were delicious!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant."

"Having read other reviews we were very excited to try Moro. We were thoroughly delighted! My husband tells everyone we see how great the food was! He raves about the use of herbs and spice in all the dishes we had. The Tuna Tartar was so good we couldn't imagine anything better but equally delicious were the salmon and seared duck.
Our waiter was attentive without hovering and was very informative regarding our selection from the wine list which had several of our favorites."

"I was extremely delighted with my experience. The restaurant is situated in what looks to be a residential area, but despite that, the ambience inside the restaurant was very romantic and modern. We were unfortunate to be seated on what looks to be an added table next to the post; the booths look more cozy and comfortable, but we still had a wonderful time. Serving small plates was a good option to have for those who want to taste different things. I opted for the scallops and fried chicken. I figured if a fancy places serves fried chicken, it must be a unique experience. I loved my selections; both were very tasty and just the right amount was served to have room for desserts. My fiance opted for a large plate - the lamb. Just as tasty."

"I have lived in Delaware for over 56 years and never been to Moro's. It was like a secret that people did not want to let out. Well the secret is out. There wasn't an empty chair in the place. We dined at 9:00 pm on a Saturday and it was packed. The waiter was very knowable and made excellent suggestions. I can't wait to return. The prices were not as high as I thought they would be."

"We decided to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary at Moro. Our daughter and her husband had dinnner there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed themselves. The food was very good and service outstanding. Menu was somewhat limited but several specials were available. Glasses were never empty and the food arrived hot. My wife had a cosmo and I tried two new IPA's. Both were excellent. I liked the idea that they offered mostly microbrews. Would have liked to seen a draft beer to two."

"The ambiance was all right, was not romantic at all, me and husband were celebrating our wedding anniversary, dress code was supposed to be upscale casual, when we got there people were wearing flip flops and jeans. "I took my husband here for his birthday and we had a great time. The food was amazing and the service was great. I put a note on the reservation I made with Open Table that it was my husband's birthday. We were so full that we didn't order dessert but the waiter brought out a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a birthday plate with the candle. It was a really nice touch. We'll definitely recommend Moro to friends and family."

"Our party of four would overall score about 70%. The filet and fish were very good, however the short ribs, not so much. Over all the main entrance was difficult for the less ambulatory of our group, then we hiked to the 2nd floor. The wait staff were extremely good. 3 of 4 entres were excellent, the eggplant rolitini appetiser was tasty but tough skinned. The short ribs were soggy and lacked distinguishable flavor."

"City Restaurant Week menu was good. Hanger Steak was tasty but came out warm, not hot, and needed more seasoning and salt. Roasted tomato soup was delicious. The rib eye is outstanding.Note: do not try to use your groupons with a promo menu such as city restaurant week. They do not allow it."

"I was there for City Restaurant week and it was my first time at Moro. The special menu was excellent, and the food, presentation and service were great. I looked at the regular food and wine menus and Moro has a mix of large and small plates for sharing, a great mixed drink list using Blood Orange as the theme, and a challenging 'who knows what' four or five course dinner that the chef selects (and for the adventuresome). Was most pleased and will return."

"We visited Moro for Wilmington's restaurant week. It was our first time at the restaurant,but it certainly won't be our last! Portions are on the small side but that's okay with me (although my husband had a snack when we got home). Everything we ordered was delicious. The menu has a nice range of small plates and large plates and the wine list was impressive. I would definitely recommend Moro and plan to return soon."

"The food was very good but the waiter was inattentive. He was not quick to refill our water, for our glasses sat empty quite a while before they were refilled. Nor did he ever ask my wife if she wanted a refill on her beverage. The kitchen staff served us our food so all the waiter had to do is take our order and refill our beverage and with a half empty dinning room there was no excuse for him not to be on top of it. I typically always tip 20% but this time I left a 15% tip but should have left less. I normally would not make a big deal about this but for a fine dinning restaurant I expected more."

"Enjoyed restaurant week dinner with friends. We all agreed the menu selection was great and the added wine pairing was a welcome bonus! Food was excellent. Beginning of evening with waiter was a little awkward as one of our guests wanted to send a message to the chef to be sure the scallops were cooked "well". The waiter insisted the chef would cook them properly when all he needed to say was of course we will be sure to let the chef know of your preference. As it turned out, they were cooked properly but our firend remarked how easy it would have been in the beginning. All four of us are in the restaurant business so we are very critical with attention to detail in service. Having said that it was a wonderful evening!"

"Our group loved the seating arrangement at a circular booth/table. Very good for conversation and sharing. THe braised lamb shank special was delicious, very tender and nicely presented. We enjoyed sharing several small dishes prior to our entrees. This is a beautiful restaurant with friendly but professional service and amazing food choices. We will definitely enjoy returning."

"We like Moro, but since it is quite expensive, go only with a Groupon. All (3) of us liked what we ordered. My duck confit salad (I substituted sherry vinaigrette for their preferred dressing) and my small dish scallops with squash were out-of-this-world- fabulous. My supposedly "lumpcrab" small dish was mediocre--would not recommend it. It was a crab spread with no lumps in sight. No discernible shell, but this is hardly high praise.
The dessert was good--we shared the banana creme thing. I think their desserts should aim more for old-fashioned and delicious and less for cutesy or pseudo elegant. For instance a plain old delicious bread pudding would be nice to find."

"this was our second trip to moro and it's becoming our new favorite spot. always enjoy the inventive menu and try to be adventurous in our choices. however, next time i'm going to be sure to inquire about just how hot (spicy) each dish is and be sure to ask chef to hold the salt. btw, my sister's huge steak was amazing!!"

"The night started off great the server was quick to the table . After getting the drinks he offered us the specials which all sounded excellent . The appetizers arrived quickly soon followed by the main course which was cooked expertly and tasted as good as it looked . Dessert was great .
