"I have been to the grill room many times. Something has changed. It took us 1.5 hours to get our entrees. I has the foie gras and it was over seared and tough! Then I had the filet which was mediocre--certainly not befitting a "grill room". We brought 2 kids so we were in a hurry. We weren't the only ones waiting for service (and it wasn't nearly full to capacity). The table behind us was asked for their dessert order by waitstaff and they replied, "Our entree order hasn't even bee TAKEN!""

"Beautiful restaurant but limited menu. Did not enjoy our dinner at all. The Grill Room in the Kevin Graham days was the best restaurant in town & extremely hard to get a reservation. Sadly it is nowhere close to the former days."

"Our experience at the Grill Room was absolutely lovely. We were not celebrating a special occasion, although, it would be ideal for one. The live music coming from the Polo Lounge was an added luxury, and we enjoyed our unrushed, delicious meal. However, the prices at the Grill Room are absurd. As locals who dine fairly regularly, we are not disinclined to spend money on food and wine. The Grill Room's prices (we spent $600 pre-tip for dinner for 4) make dining there completely impractical - especially in a city where food options are prolific. I was disappointed to see so few diners enjoying a Saturday night there, but when I got the check, I could see why. We could eat twice at Herbsaint for the cost of one meal at the Grill Room."

"This was an exceptional evening. We went there to celebrate a special birthday. They had live jazz band that night. The service was fabulous which helped make the evening all that more enjoyable. They added a special touch by having a birthday card personally signed by the staff of The Grill Restaurant.
I would recomment this to anyone-especially for celebrating a special event.
The one recommendation I would make is if there is a live band-ask to be seated away from the band. You will still hear the band but you will be able to talk to the people sitting at your table. We were seated right by the band and the only time we could talk amongst our table was when the band was on break.

"We manage to get the The Grill Room at the Windsor Court whenever we visit New Orleans. I have only one negative to offer since all other aspects of this terrific restaurant remain excellent. We found the menu offered so few choices, that we had to order starters/entrees that we might have passed up. For example - there were only three meat and three fish entrees - hope you like one of them! We almost left rather than be forced to choose from such a limited selection."

"I dined at the Windsor Grill the last time I stayed at the hotel and the food was fantastic. I had the tasting menu and enjoyed every course. My dining partner also thought the food was the best we had in New Orleans. Naturally I was looking forward to dining there. However, my past experience was not good.
My salad (one hour egg Caesar) and main course (flounder) didn't make the grade. I could not finish either and hardly touched my salad. Neither dish came together in taste or texture. I love good food. My granddaughters ordered filets--they enjoyed theirs. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is excellent. Food just not up to par."

"We went for their Jazz Sunday brunch, and what stuck out the most was the quality of the staff. From the valets to the Grill Room host, to the wait staff and manager, everyone went out of their way to be warm and welcoming. The menu, while shorter than I expected, had some very good selections on it, and our party of six all enjoyed our entrees and dessert. The band was also very appropriate for the occasion, with the upright bass player receiving several compliments. Overall I would highly recommend the Grill Room for a special occasion."

"We had to maneuver past the noisy bar scene to get to the reception area because of a bridal reception. The pianist was kind of loud in my right ear as I tried to listen to my wife with my left ear. But these two complaints aside the Grill Room is an attractive but expensive restaurant, fit for special occasions. One might elect to spend $1,375.00 on an Opus One bottle of wine. Many more expensive bottles are available on this huge wine list. We spent$135 on a bargain Pinot. My wife's salmon dish was excellent, my snapper very tasty. The deconstructed Caesar was not as successful. Open your wallet and enjoy!"

"The beautiful entrace to the hotel set the stage for the lunch. Leaving the hoopla of a convention at the huge New Orleans Convention center the Grill Room was a welcome well staffed quiet oasis of delicious food. Service was spectacular a lovely experience!
