"I always enjoyed Parish (until) last Saturday. The waitress was not too friendly. The food was horrible from the IMMAN Park (Special menu) from the app to the entree. I was totally dissapointed. However, I enjoyed the wine and the desert."

"A tad disappointing as I had high expectations from what I had heard. We went on a Saturday - there was live music which was good but way too loud. We had asked to be seated in the back when we made the reservation and were not so this was more of an issue than had we walked in. The food was mediocre. The smoked ham-hock hushpuppies were very dry, the grits with the poached egg was quite good though. The pork shoulder was also overcooked - very dry. The roasted eggplant jambalaya had a liquid smoke flavor that did not go well after a few bites. The catfish was cooked well and was tender but very heavily breaded and greasy on the outside. The apple cake and chocolate pudding were both okay. Servers were nice and pretty good - not great."

"Eating at Parish was a great experience. I randomly found the restaurant when I was looking on Concentrically website. Because I love all of the other restaurants from that group I figured that I had to try this one too. That ended up being a very smart decision. The menu and service were awesome. The catfish was amazing. It was easily the best fried catfish I've had in my life! I am already looking forward to my next dining experience at my new favorite restaurant."

"OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF OUR WAITRESS AT THE END. OUR BILL WAS LESS THAN $46.00 AND I GAVE HERE $60.00 AND SHE ASKED IF I WANTED CHANGE AND I TOLD HER YES. SHE TOOK THE MONEY AND CAME BACK AND JUST DROPPED IT ON THE TABLE AND DIDN'T EVEN SAY THANKYOU. WE DIDN'T LIKE THAT AT ALL BUT WE STILL TIPPED HER. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT."

"My experience was disappointing. Nothing much that seemed to be "New Orleans inspired", though the bar made an excellent Sazerac. Two of the four in our party had good entrees (catfish and pork shank). A third (mahi) was very so-so, and mine was not very good at all. What's the point of blackening a NY strip only to drench it in a sauce and heavy vegetables? And the NY strip was about the quality of something you could find at Western Sizzlin'. My dessert of banana pudding was very thin and lacking in that wonderful banana pudding flavor. Bad acoustics led to a really loud dining experience without the place being particularly crowded. Based on my dining companions' meals, I may go back for another try but don't have high hopes."

"This was my first time dining at Parish and I was very impressed! The food and the atmosphere were both fantastic and creative. The atmosphere was the perfect mix of comfortable and unique. Every dish on the menu looked amazing, and if they all are like the dishes our table had during my recent visit then I know I will continue to be amazed. The explosion of flavor and subtle twists on traditional Creole dishes were terrific, yet kept the concept of Creole authentic! I am planning to bring a large group back with me soon to share the experience. This is definitely a new favorite spot for me and my husband!"

"The experience overall was good, however I was not thrilled that we were seated right next to the entrance. I know they are trying to accommodate as many people as possible, however the experience isn't as good if people walk in and are standing directly in front of your table. I would suggest removing this table as it becomes a nuisance and makes the dining experience less pleasant. In the future I would opt not to eat here if I have to be seated at this table."

"tables are so close you can hardly move. servers were elbowing me as thye were walking by. hard not to ingnore conversations at the two tables to my sides. server was tapping her fingers while going over the specials and when explaining different items on the menu. so rude. gave her exactly 15% and walked out. will never return."

"We had heard so much about Parish that it was hard to imagine that it could be quite that good. We loved the style of the place, funky, yet chic and not overdone. We ate outside on a cool day, but enjoyed being above street level and not too cold.
The food - well, there is too much of it, but we could have shared an order, which we will next time. Every bite was luscious, especially the chimichuri. The soft boiled eggs were not soft, but almost hard boiled by the time they reached us, but they looked lovely and were the only negative.
The downstairs casual spot is family friendly and perfect for a quick bite and a conversation or reading the NYTimes and catching up on email. A gem in a growing neighborhood."

"While the market downstairs is consistently pleasing, the upstairs food is inconsistent. On this occasion we brought friends and the fried chicken was fried to a crisp and the pork had very little meat that was not fat. While the trout was cooked perfectly, the flavors of the accompaniment were overpowering for the fish. Disappointing in such a beautiful space."

"We went for Mardi Gras so I may have been swayed by the occasion but I had a wonderful experience. The food is good but not as good as some of the other restaurant’s owned by this group (One Midtown Kitchen). I lived in New Orleans for 4 years so I know that the food is not authentic Creole/ Cajun. I had the BBQ shrimp starter and it is not Pascal Manale's quality. The frittered vegetables were better. The cat fish and trout dishes were good but a bit over cooked and the presentation was not memorable.
Still the service was very friendly and efficient. The music was a reasonable facsimile of Dixie Land. The building has a fun Lake Ponchatrain front rather than French Quarter feel. I will definitely go back."

"We were really impressed with the quality of the food and preparation, as well as the service at Parish. The oysters (and I grew up on the Gulf Coast) from Apalacacola were great, the Squash w Gnochi was simple but superb and the Crab Claws tasty. The only complaint, was about the Crab. As an appetizer for two, serving just three claws for $21 was a bit expensive.

The drink menu is really cool and the drinks refreshing and the wine list was also good, if pricey. I prefer the way One does the bottom-less glass to the mystery red or white as done by Parish.

My only other gripe was with the chairs, which were uncomfortable and wobbly on the uneven floor."

"We decided to celebrate a family Mardi Gras early, and went to Parish for the first time Sunday, which was Valentine's Day. The staff was gracious and friendly (even to a family on Valentine's, celebrating the wrong holiday!). I was bummed there were few vestiges of creole/cajun left on the menu, but the savory cheesecake was a stand-out, as well as the gulf fish choice. On the picnic plate app, the pimiento cheese was amazingly good! And the Bees Knees cocktail was tremendous. We'd like to try again, when it's less crowded, and probably when it's just us grownups."

"Cindy and I loved dinner at the Parish. We were there
on Saturday for our valentine celebration. We had not
been there before. We both had fish. I had the mahi
mahi with crisp vegetables. The seasoning was delicate.
Cindy had the cornmeal-encrusted catfish with spices and
rice. Hers was much more a Louisiana style dish.
It was great.

"Parish continues to be a happening place. Even with the bustle of a Saturday night, service was friendly, timely and professional ... like a well coached team! Oysters were succulent as usual and presented with flavorful dipping sauces. The veggie plate which touted using local farm produce, was not only fresh but delicious. The flounder special was a bit bland, which came as a surprise for this New Orleans style restaurant. The wine list, although somewhat limited, has good affordable choices."

"I visited Parish in hopes that I would be as pleased with the food and service as I have been at other Concentrics restaurants (One Midtown Kitchen & Two Urban Licks) - but, found the food to be average and the service *ok*. My meal was somewhat bland in taste and my dining companion complained that the french toast was "soggy". The fresh fruit I ordered with the meal was randomly cut pieces of cabteloupe and strawberry - not a very original mix or presentation for the $4 ticket price. I wouldn't call it a bad experience - just a bit of a let down."

"This place is wonderful. It was a first visit for some and our guests loved it. One thing that I would suggest if ordering the special fish with micro vegetables (which is wonderful, by the way) is that the server really emphasize that the vegetables are not warm. Some liked it....some didn't.

You are able to bring up to two bottles of your own wine with no corking fee and I think that is great. They have a great bar and we always order a cocktail before dinner and don't forget to tip your server on the wine you bring in. They are so gracious to keep the wine cold and serve it appropriately. We love this place!!!!! Can't wait for the summer to and come for lunch or brunch outside!! .... and, of course, try the ice cream."

"With a plethora of noteworthy Atlanta restaurants to chose from, Parish surely rises to the top of the list. We loved the warm, comfortable feel of this historic building that provides a nostalgic step back in time. My husband and I loved Parish and look forward to returning.

"In lieu of dinner entrees, we tried one appetizer after the next, to get a feel for the place. Especially liked the squash and dumplings and the featured maple/pear sausage. We thought we were too full for dessert but ordered the bread pudding to split anyway, then finished every bite. Our waitress was terrific which really made our experience better. It was a little difficult to hear across the table, but it is a nice setting. We will go back."

"Absolutely loved the food and all it had to offer. I think the decor was a great mix of chic touches in an urban skeleton. The staff was knowledgeable yet lacked a bit of professionalism when dealing with questions on food. Overall a fantastic experience and I would go again."

"I really love this restaurant. Excellent staff and the food is fantastic. Nick the head chef takes great pride in his craft. There isn't a bad dish on the menu and the ambiance is great. My only complaint about the evening that we had is that the music was not appropriate for the vibe of the restaurant. They had two blue-grass/county singers (who were kind of loud) and while they had good voices, the music was NOT the vibe people are looking for from a restaurant with New Orleans themed food. In fact, it was a major distraction. This is a minor issue since every time we visit there is a different musical act. Don't get me wrong, I love live music at a restaurant, but a jazz trio would have been much much better. These guys just weren't it."

"I was dining with a party of four and we enjoyed the Pork Shank,Cornmeal Crusted Trout and the Stuffed MS Catfish. Everyone enjoyed their meals and all plates we cleaned!!! Great white selection for the bottomless wine."

"Parish is at the top of my list to dine at again. From the moment we stepped in the door, all was well. Everything we ate was excellent and the service was delightful. The wine list was extensive.
