"We went here on a Thursday night for last minute dining. We didn't have any expectation going in but just to enjoy a nice glass of wine and a quick bite. And to our surprise the service was excellent, and we ordered an amazing cheese plate that paired wonderfully with a Rhone flight followed by two fantastic entree's. If you love fish, I highly recommend the Halibut as well as the chicken dish. We will definitely be returning."

"We love First Crush. Every small plate we had was delicious. However, would like to see more lobster in the lobster mac and cheese. The wine selection and flights are wonderful. "I'll just cut to the chase and give the bottom line first: I won't go there for two reasons: For one, the champagne was not served cold enough, and it tasted like the bottles had been open for several hours (not tolerable for the $15 sampler). Two, I did not appreciate that the lower level was reserved for a party, leaving an extremely noisy and crowded bar area. Other than that, the food and service was good."

The main dining room downstairs doesn't open until 6pm and our reservation was for 5pm so we were seated upstairs in the bar area. Turned out to be great. Our server was fantastic, the food was yummy (lobster mac and cheese ... sinful), and the wine/champagne selection was great. I will be coming back here for sure."

"Valentine's Day reservations were limited to a Prix Fixe menu, however my boyfriend has specific dietary needs, being Gluten-Free Vegan. To ensure a good dining experience, I emailed Judy (Mktg & Events Mgr) beforehand, & she confirmed the chef could accommodate a GF/V diet. "Accommodating" ultimately meant choosing dishes on the PF menu without the meat & still getting charged full price without offering alternatives. Romantic, but cramped seating. The molten cake was phenomenal, but not enough to bring me back for another visit."

"First Crush has been a favorite spot for many years. This year the service and food quality had plummeted. The owner sat down at our table and complained about his employees incessantly! Sad to say we won't be going back."

"Interesting concept featuring California vintners. Foodies would like the menu featuring items that are local and sustainable. My only critique is that the server could have been more informative about the offerings and what is really their go to items on the menu. Definitely would try it again. Ambiance was good. OWNER AND WAITER WERE LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL. OWNER (ZABID) WAS LESS THAN PERSONABLE AND WAS HORRIBLY RUDE BY ASKING US TO QUIET DOWN. IT WAS A FRIDAY NIGHT, THE RESTAURANT WAS BUZZING AND BUSTLING WITH THE USUAL NOISE AND BUSYNESS OF WAITERS AND WAITRESSES ALL AROUND. SO, TO COME AND ASK OUR TABLE OF 5 PEOPLE TO QUIET DOWN, WAS NOT AT ALL SOMETHING THAT I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED. DID HE GO TO ALL OF THE OTHER TABLES AND ASK THEM TO QUIET DOWN? THE ANSWER IS NO. WE WERE PAYING CUSTOMERS AND THE NOISE LEVEL OF OUR PARTY WAS NOT ANY MORE LOUD THAN ANY OF THE OTHER TABLES. MY REVIEW OF THIS RESTAURANT IS LESS THAN DESIRABLE. "this is my third time at First Crush. We brought two guests after bragging about it. The food was Terrible! Steak was chewy, pasta tasted like it had been sitting in cream overnight--we were so dissappointed. I'm hoping that it was an off night."

"Food was very good I thought. I had scallops with risotto and it was excellent. My wife is a vegetarian and they gave her a veggie risotto. Little bland, so only good. They gave us the worst seat in the house when we arrived, despite being notified it was my wife's birthday, when other seats were available. Had to request a change"

"I highly recommend First Crush! The food was amazing and we couldn't have asked for better service. The only thing we were a bit disappointed in was the cheese plate. For $20 we expected to have a bit larger piece, but it was a very small sliver. Other than that, you must check this restaurant out."

"Always a pleasure. Haven't been in awhile so we thought we'd go back and I think the owner was there, first time I recall seeing him working at the check in station! He was delightful and chatty.The wait staff could have more personality but they are efficient so that's the most important thing. I do have an impossible time hearing my dining companion over the two tables on either side of us yelling at each other to be heard as well, but I will always dine here."
