"Boudin noir&pulled pork tart brought us back a 2nd time,but our second visit was a disappointment. Ordered the tart once again, but this time there was no tart eventhough that is what it's called. In true cafeteria style: large plop of pulled pork, atop are a few meager slices of boudin noir, then an oversized Yorkshire pudding that was fighting its way to stay on the plate. The tart first time around was thin, flaky, warm, and not at all soaked through-requiring much skill and time. Yorkshire pudding as replacement? Are you joking me? The boeuf-bourguinon should be renamed as paparadelle with stewed beef. Pasta was flavourful but the few broken pieces of the boeuf were dry and bland-unworthy of $27.Menu+execution="highend chain restaurant""

"Although, the food was good, we had extremely high expectations for our first visit to Nota Bene. The food was good, but didn't blow us away. We ordered a side order of onion rings, and they didn't sit well with both of us, shortly after. Overall, Nota Bene did not dissapoint. The martinis were fantastic, and the wine list was excellent. The service was spot on, and better than most. We had theatre tickets and they met our expectations of being out within 1.5 hours. Again, we may be biased of the food because of our experience with the onion rings."

"My family of five (two adults and three teenagers) traveled to Toronto from Oregon to celebrate New Year's in this fun city. We made reservations at Nota Bene for New Year's Eve dinner at 7pm. We had done some internet research, and this restuarant was voted one of the top ten in Toronto for 2009. In addition, it was a place where my sons could get some "normal" contemporary cusine that teenagers might actually eat, like steak, short ribs, etc. When we arrived we were immediately seated in a booth as I had requested. The decor was just what my wife and I enjoy.... clean uncluttered contemporary style with wood, leather, metal and colorful art. Food was very good to excellent. Excellent wine selection but expensive. Canadian taxes high!"

"We waited more than 15-20 minutes for our table even if we've made a reservation few weeks ago..... Too much noise in this restaurant.... More interested in saling wine than making great food....Service under pressure Will not return for sure and I very don't uunderstand why this restaurant won a award of the best 2008 in the En Route guide Sorry but it's truth!"
