Manhattan Steak & Seafood offers delicious and elegant southern California cuisine with a generous selection of wines in a comfortable and charming East-coast style environment.
"Since Mr. Stox closed, we needed a new place to go for Mother's Day brunch. This place didn't quite have the unique variety of Mr. Stox but they did have a good selection. We had a good time."

"As Sunday brunch foodies, we have been to Manhattan Steak & Seafood several times. What I love about Manhattan is their delicious food, great service, happy employees, live music, and a reasonable price. What my hubby likes is their seafood: cracked crab legs, mussles, shrimp, lox/bagles, & fresh sushi and, of course, his unlimited bubbly. They have traditional brunch items but Manhattan always prepares something different to surprises us - last weekend was duck & beef stroganoff made from filet mignon. They have lots of good food for the kids too but to top it off, their prices are very reasonable (approx. $30/pp) unless you order O.J. to go with your champange but that is just a minor annoyance compared to all that Manhattan has to offer!"

"Service was slow, it took 40 min. before we were served our salads and the dining room was 1/2 full, the waiter said they went fishing for the anchovies! I think they did!"

"The short ribs that I ordered were the best I'd ever had! The waitress asked if I wanted a spoon for the marrow and she brought one, but alas there was no marrow to be found... If the wait staff in the dining room was as enthusiastic and accommodating as the staff in the bar or the hostess that greeted us, this place would be over the top in perfection. I'm looking forward to returning!"

"The hostess stated that she was seating our party of 4 at one of her favorite tables; the table was located at the entrance to the wine cellar and we had people entering the cellar and disrupting our meal continually. NOT my idea of a good table.
The server acted as if we were bothering her or that she would rather be someplace else. When my dinner was served, the potatoes and vegetables were luke warm. When I brought this to our servers attention, she took my dinner back to the kitchen and when she returned the potatoes were still luke warm.
Their dress code states "business casual" yet many dinners were wearing shorts."

"Great food and service. The wild mushroom appetizer is a delight as are the sauteed jumbo shrimp. Short ribs are excellent and the game dishes are fabulous. Carol, the bartender, knows how to make an honest cocktail and is always happy to provide those delicious spiced nuts to the bar patrons who want some munchies with their drinks. Steve, the waiter, is the best in the business."

"High standards are obvious. The bartenders are skilled and the waiters and busboys are outstanding. We visited the Bar/Jazz lounge before and after dinner. It was a great treat with a very personable band. I highly recommend MS&S. It is pricy and we definitely got what we paid for! It was an exceptional night."

"We went to Manhattan when it was first opened after replacing one our favorite local spots. Whether it was the original ambiance and menu or just we missed the old place, we were not impressed.
We decided to try it again for seafood this time and we were pleasantly surprised by the choices on the menu, the service and vibe. My ahi was excellent especially the wasabi potatoes. My husband's lobster bisque and lobster was equally deliciosu.
Steve was training Ashton and they both were very attentive.
We will be going back"

"Had heard about this place before we went and it was always positive. First thing we notice was the bar area which looked pretty lively. There was a good crowd there but between the live entertainment and the crowd it keep the noise level pretty high where we ate in the adjacent dining area. Not too bad though as I was able to keep up a conversation very easily. I had a steak which was good but a little dry for being a medium rare. Wife had the seabass which was very good. Had mushrooms first which I thought were very good as well. Overall the food was good with decent portions. The service was excellent. Our waiter was on the spot and very nice and helpful. Overall a nice place to eat with a friendly staff."

"We enjoyed St. Patrick's Day brunch. Everything was wonderful. The special Irish food, along with the usual brunch dishes, and green champagne made the holiday experience terrific. Quality meat and seafood. Excellent and caring service. Can't wait to go back."

"Great food and service. The menu has many creative dishes including some wonderful wild game entrees. Try the wild mushroom appetizer for a surprisingly good starter. For dessert, the chocolate chip bread pudding is to die for. The bartenders make a good honest cocktail and if you ask, they'll serve you some delicious spiced nuts with your drink."

"Outstanding place for brunch, for two or a large group. Great presentation (carving stations, omelette, fajita and pasta stations, and savory food selections.) Delicious desserts and live music."

"We sat upstairs and it was fine until a large party came in. They had been drinking and were quite loud and as the room is fairly small, they echoed. I could hardly hear my friend talking over them. It kind of ruined the dinner but the food and service were outstanding!!!"

"The food was superb. The service is good BUT, IT TAKES WAY TOO LONG FOR LUNCH SERVICE. They need to really address this. Most diners don't have 2 hours for lunch."

"The coffee and deserts were very good. The service was poor. The cioppino was fair at best. The lamb was very good. The escargot were the worst that I have ever had, tasteless and tough. The bread was very good. The check was very high. I will not be dining there again."

"They shouldn't overbook for special occasions, slow to get food, etc. Food not super hot, as it should have been. We were seated in a backroom wkith zero ambiance for Valentkine's Day??? Really? Not special at all.
We will try again for dinner on a regular night to see if it's better."
