"Every evening feels like an occasion at Nick and Toni's. The renovation is beautiful. The food is thoughtful, healthy, tasty and original. One feels like a special guest. Always a pleasure. It has the feel of real old fashioned dinning in a modern setting."

"Despite having a reservation, we had to wait an HOUR to be seated. And this was in the off-season! Really good food - stick to the classics though - they are too busy to make the difficult dishes perfect."

"Excellent! Bar area has been re designed for greater comfort and standing room too. The food is the same delicious fare that has made Nick and Toni's lead the pack of restaurants in the Hamptons. Especially warm and hospitable on a cold Spring evening!"

"Nick and Toni's is a wonderful place and I have great loyalty to it, but with a few tweaks it could be so much better. I love the meat fritto misto featured a few weeks ago - sweetbreads, chicken liver etc. was wonderful, but overly greasy even though served on absorbing paper..has been true of a number of past fried appetizers
The wood fired pizzettas are divine - I especially love the salmon and marscapone for brunch.
The wood roasted fish is always excellent.
As for the renovation...the lights in the front room are great looking as is the pale wood paneling. Somehow the old décor hung together better. The acoustics are much worse in front room, and the lamp shades & sconces in the back room are unattractive and a trend gone by."

"This remains the "hot" restaurant in East Hampton. We went a 9:30 PM and the place was packed but still my reservation was respected. (It probably didn't hurt that I am acquainted with the Manager who had previously managed another restaurant that I also frequent in East Hampton.
The cuisine is well prepared and presented and the service is professional and attentive.
The acoustics are not the best and the dining room can be disturbingly loud. I would not go earlier during "prime time" because I think it would be overbearing."

"Nick and Toni's has been and will continue to be the restaurant that other restaurants try to achieve to become. The food, service and ambience is the best on the east end!!"

"What made this restaurant extra special for me was the service. Everyone from the minute we arrived to the minute we left was so gracious and hospitable. The food was great also."

"The one wonderful thing about Nick & Toni's is they are consistently great. The food, the service and now that they have renovated the space (which came out beautifully)it is all quite a special place. My hat goes off to the chef who does a marvelous job with the menu. Thanks for always making a visit to your fine restaurant, a memorable one!"

"Don't understand the thing with this restaurant. It looks nice after renovation, everyone is friendly but not personal. The food is a bore, it sounds nice when reading the menu but doesn't taste anything. More like an institution. It is like going to the Palm or 1770 house"

"I don't typically write reviews on opentable but we had such a terrific brunch for my husbands birthday. The restaurant made us feel very welcome, even with three kids, and went out of their way to make the meal special. The food was great and the tartufo was amazing."

"Cosy winter atmosphere. We started with a salad adorned with winter squash, and ricotta/speck ravioli. Our entrees were swordfish over a bed of semi-carmelized cauliflower, and pappardelle chinghiale -- both cooked to perfection. Waitstaff was very accommodating. Overall a very pleasant experience."

"Nick & Toni's was the last restaurant of many restaurants my Italo-Swiss friends visited in a week's stay on the east end. They said it was the best. The service warm and friendly as the decor is welcoming; but it is the food that I liked the best. My only complaint is the atmosphere on this very cold and snowy night made the patrons too happy and loud."

"Overall the place was great. Nicely lit and well decorated, you could have a romantic meal or bring the kids. The food was very good to excellent. The Fricco was wonderful, chicken was divine. My bay scallops were a little bit undercooked for me but that is just my personal preference. I don't think you would go wrong with any of the desserts. The honey chocolate cake was perfect."

"This is a very " in" restaurant with a clientele which is very entitled. Too bad the emperor has no clothes. The salads ( which require no cooking, only top quality ingredients) were excellent. The fish was minuscule and served cold. There were perhaps 3 bay scallops hidden among the vegetables. Each main course was $37.
The wait staff replaced the fish but the rhythm was off and the magic was over.
Larry"
