"We dine at Red Rocks on occassion -- usually special events like anniversaries, birthdays or with out of town guests. The food is always good and usually the wait staff is excellent. That was the case recently. We made on line reservations and I'm so glad we did; otherwise we would have had quite a wait. It was a busy Saturday night and we just breezed right in because we were on time and our table was ready. The curbside valet is beneficial as parking at Birkdale can be challenging. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience!"

"Made last minute reservations at this busy local restaurant for Mother's Day Brunch. We waited about 10 minutes after our reservation time which wasn't bad considering the number of people waiting and the occasion. Good food, nicely prepared and tasty. Our used buffet plates were removed timely. Our drinks stayed full and so did our bellies!"

"We've eaten at Red Rocks a few times already. The buffalo calamari just can't be beat. Every entre we ordered was delicious, It can get a bit loud in the restaurant, but I don't find that bothersome. The service is outstanding every time."

"we were excited to return back to red rocks. unfortunately, my friend's food was not cooked well enough. when they made the server aware, the server tried to explain that was how kobe beef was suppose to look (mind you, it was stringy and raw pink in the middle...and they like it pink, just not scary to eat pink) when the food was returned to our table, it was cooked better...but! it was thesame piece of meat, plate, everything!!! they took the piece cut out from my friend and put it back on the bun with the main piece. i worked restaurants for years in the past and was never allowed to redeliver the same food to a table. we always remade an order. wow. for the cost and the expectation of this restaurant, it was highly disappointing."

"I felt the resturant was a little dark for lunch time, however it did provide a more intimate/cozy setting for our table... there were 4 of us for lunch and the food came out very slow, Id say at least 20 minutes... little long for lunch, between salads, entrees and dessert we were there for a solid hour. Everybody enjoyed their food, I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fruit... the chicken was a little dry but well seasoned. The lett/tom were very fresh and the bun excellent. The mix of fresh fruit was very good as well. We split the italian torte and rasberry cheesecake for dessert and both were amazing... the cheesecake was really good but for warmer weather the italian torte is the way to go.. it was light and fluffy."

"Red Rocks has a long-standing reputation as a Lake Norman area favorite. It still remains a great restaurant! While still a lunch favorite for me, my husband and I had not been to dinner in several years. We were not disappointed! My husband's steak and my fish were both excellent, and the desserts remain a special treat. Service was friendly and consistent. Highly recommend!"

"Disappointed. Was asked 3 times if they could take my plate away. The first time was about 5 mins after the food arrived! We were there for the $32.00 price fix dinner. It isn't a special. All the portions are cut. I would have enjoyed it more if I had just ordered one entre from the regular menu. Absolutely NOTHING special about this place, especially after spending $96.00 for 2. I feel robbed and it will be a long time before I feel like going there again."

"Our first impression of Red Rocks was pretty poor when the "door girl" did not acknowledge us other than opening the door; no smile, no gretting-nothing! The girls at the hostess stand were extremly rude. All 5 of them kinda starred at us, yet again, not offering a greeting until we said "good evening".... The food was decent, however, I ordered my steak to be medium-rare, and when the brought it out, I would bet money it still had a pulse.... The waiter did not check in to see how the food was until my wife was finished eating her pasta. HOWEVER, the manager got my steak cooked to my liking and offered us a free dessert. She was also very sweet and apologetic. In their defence, it is prom season, so it was packed!"

"We went for the annual Easter buffet - the food was good for buffet food and our waiter was awesome. However, the restaurant was SO dark...I had been there for dinner before and it was dark, but I figured that was because it was nighttime. It was extremely difficult to see the food on the buffet - am I getting eggs? polenta? mashed potatoes? When I think Easter brunch, I think bright and cheery. The buffet room was entirely too small and the buffet items were placed in an odd order, in my opinion. Lastly, the buffet servers seemed to have an impossible time keeping popular items refreshed...I think it was another problem of the room being way too small for a buffet. Overall, it's a good restaurant but I do not recommend the Easter buffet."

"The Sunday Brunch Buffet has a wide variety and all of it is Apetizing and with good taste. They keep the various items repleished regularly. This is a good restaurant and worth the price which might seem a little high for some, but still a goood value for the quality and selection."

"I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. My husband always tries the seafood specials and they are always unique and delicious and a perfect portion size. The steaks are very affordable and delicious and usually served with at least one side and are always cooked perfectly to order. There are many sandwiches,soups, and salads to try also if you are not in the mood for a larger entree."
