"There were five of us attending Mother's Day Brunch. Including a special couple visiting from out of town. We were very offended and insulted when the first waiter said the lemon aid was "not free" with the brunch price. He had a negative attitude toward us. My husband immediately asked for the floor manager. Then we were given a second waiter who was very gracious and professional. This was not the first time we had eaten at Capitol Grille. We were never treated so rudely before."

"Our service was impecable, always with a patient smile never rushed. My salmon appetizer with capers and oinions was fresh and cool to temp the way it's supposed to be.. not room temp (warm) and not fishy or over smoked. My family had oysters and shrimp cocktail and they oodled over how fresh the seafood was and not like thawed from the freezer. Our steaks were very good. Perfect to descriptions (med well, med plus and medium). Flavor was a tad lacking cause I remember it being a bit more flavorful. or the one I had on Valentines on Richmond was better?? Either way, the fiet mignon did not dissapoint. Their cheescake was made with riccotta so it was light and had a creme brule crust on top very good and I dont do cheesecake. I will be back!"

"We enjoyed our meals very much. Our waiter was attentive to our needs. Except for the split check. He didn't quite understand how my husband was going to pay. All other restaurants understood. He paid such and such amount and the remaining balance on the other card. He kept saying I can't split the steak. He said pay so much from one card then the rest on another. It was hard for him. Se la vie. All in all we'd go back. It was delicious."

They took a picture of my date and me and gave us a copy of it. And I never knew that they give out a free desert for people with birthdays. This made my birthday a little more special. I will continue coming to this restaurant in the future."

"The steak I had was terrible.. over seasoned and doubtfully any sort of quality cut.. at $50 I thought I was in for quite a treat. My girlfriend liked her seafood dish okay but said the presentation was poor. Mine had a sprig of some green baby leaf but that's all. Any other fine dining restaurant in town is much better and you might not even have to pay additional for a side. We will not be coming back to Capital Grille; it is over rated and over priced."

"Our first trip to Capital Grille certainly won't be our last. the restaurant is beautiful, the service impeccable, and the food extraordinary. The portions are ample and the presentation was amazing. Terry did a great job guiding us through the menu and with wine selections. He warned us we were ordering a lot of food but that was what we wanted so that we could try as many different things as possible. We were not disappointed with any of it! Definitely one of our favorites now!"

"I made a reservation a week before to celebrate our anniversary. I was a little hesitant at first because we usually celebrate our anniversary at another popular steakhouse and I wasn't sure how this experience would be. As soon as I walked in the door I was impressed by the decor and at how nice the hostess was. They had our table ready and we were seated within minutes. Our table was decorated nicely. Our waiter greeted us and was very professional. I could not have asked for a nicer waiter. He made us feel welcome and was genuinely happy to wait on our table. The food was excellent. I ordered the Delmonico and it was huge! It was seasoned perfectly. My wife had the swordfish and she was very happy with her choice. It was cooked perfectly"

"The food and service was excellent. Waiter knew the entire menu and was able to answer any question we threw at him. The traffic was to get there was horrendous. Come to find out it was the NBA allstar weekend!!

"It was excellent, I was a little nervous after reading some reviews but it was very nice. The only negative thing I could say is that one of my cookies for dessert was burnt but I didn't care because I was too full to eat it! I ordered the ice cream trio and it came with two cookies."

"This is a great restaurant for a romantic dinner or special occasion. We love the attention to detail - we told them it was for our anniversary when making the reservation, and upon our arrival they had a table set up with a long stemmed rose, candles, and then a sprinkling of rose petals and little hearts on top of the table. We were even congratulated on our anniversary and offered a complimentary glass of champagne! The server paid attention to our needs, never interrupting conversation, but perfectly timing courses without any feeling of being rushed. And the food, oh my gosh, the Delmonico steak just melts in your mouth with a burst of flavor! And the salmon was perfectly seared and seasoned, so good! Worth every penny!"
