"I went here with a few friends for dinner/drinks. We got seated immediately. Our server was on point the whole night, and our food came promptly. We caught the happy hour specials...$5 for a cosmo! The atmosphere was energetic and fun, and the decor as well. We were seated upstairs, near the outdoor seating. I enjoyed the food I ordered, and very reasonably priced! I would definitely go back here."

"We had a great night but the service was not as good as I expected it to be. There was a wedding going on that we were not informed of. I would try to go again and to see if service is always like that. The food was delicious as were the 5 dollar hurricanes!"

"I liked this restaurant/bar. I will come back next time to try the bar scene. It's very big and the prices are right. The food is very good also, highly recommended. They should have more alligator plates is my only complain. The AC was a little too high since we are not in the summer yet. Overall, I will be coming hopefuly often."

"The atmosphere was okay and since most of the reviews were positive we felt this was a good option. There were a few meals that were okay, the rest were fair. Anything that came with fries had fries that were way overcooked and hard. Brunch omelet: looked to be a single egg, we asked to leave out one ingredient, they left out most of them. Asked for no home fries, got them anyway. So tiny that others shared with the recipient, so that she wouldn't go hungry.
The waitstaff moved very slow and seemed like they didn't really want to be there -- maybe it was because there were seven of us and they were already tacking on a 20% tip regardless of the service.
With some many other good places, we won't be going back here."

"We had a pre-theater meal here recently that was very disappointing. Our choices were quite simple and should not have challenged the kitchen. I had a Bourbon Street burger which I requested to be cooked medium rare - it was delivered dry, tasteless (despite what was referred to as pepper jack cheese on top), and woefully overcooked. The fries were tasty, however. My husband had a bowl of gumbo which he pronounced "OK" and a very sad "Caesar" salad which was nothing more than chopped romaine with a smattering of what appeared to be processed parmesan, tasteless croutons and bottled dressing. For dessert we shared a bowl of slightly grainy ice cream. One sad meal."

"We have eaten here before, food was good, drinks were great. Service was wonderful, staff did everything possible to please us. My one daughter is gluten-free and they suggested the menu items that could be prepared that way. My other daughter wanted the Chicken and Dumplings, but does not eat mushrooms and they were happy to prepare it that way. All in all it was a good experience. Also, since we eat lunch in the city often, I found this restaurant fairly inexpensive compared to other restaurants in the area. What more could you want, good food, good service at a good price."

"This was such a disappointing experience. We read reviews on Open Table and were excited about going. We went after a show and the music was deafening. Our waiter couldn't hear us...we couldn't hear him. We were yelling across the table to each other. I'm not 22 years old but I'm not 65 either. This could have been a better experience if the DJ turned the music down a bit. The Yankees game was on and people were watching and cheering...the music was not the focus of the crowd. We were so bummed we wasted time at this place. We would never recommend that anyone eat here."

"It's located on restaurant row so you know it has to be good. I was here for lunch and I had the Spinach & Artichoke dip for an appetizer. It comes with these fried break triangles that go beautifully with the dip. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For my meal I had the Blackened catfish with garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach and two hush puppies. I've had better hush puppies but the mashed potatoes, spinach and catfish were delicious! The catfish filet was a little smaller than I'm used to seeing but was a perfect portion size for lunch. I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu."

"Being a lover of southern cuisine, especially New Orleans food we decided to try out this place. We started off with beef burger slingers and had Po Boy's for mains, they tasted amazing! "Although the waitresses were friendly, the food was abysmal. More grease than gumbo in that small bowl and, although only several tables were occupied, the food came to the table cold.
I never write bad reviews and want all businesses to succeed but this restaurant is a drinking factory that tries too hard to create a party atmosphere when they should put more attention to what makes NOLA amazing, it's food."

"In some ways Bourbon Street encapsulates the feel of being on Bourbon Street in New Orleans- mainly in the sense of intense boozing and blasting of top 20 tunes. The food is certainly not worth purchasing. I was looking forward to trying to alligator in a blanket appetizer, and was disappointed by an overwhelming topping of honey. Since this is the only alligator product on the menu, I also doubt that it was made in house. I also had a Caesar salad with blackened chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was not blackened, and seemed to have been cooked earlier in the day and refrigerated. It was definitely not cooked fresh. the only appealing aspect of Bourbon Street is the $5 happy hour special cocktails."

"I brought my friends here for a pre-theatre dinner and it was terrific. Two of them said they always wanted to try it, and were glad we did! Server was personable and offered suggestions, drinks were delicious (including the $5 Hurricane), and the crawfish etouffee was excellent. "I took a cousin to Bourbon Street Bar & Grille because she's traveled to and has fallen in love with New Orleans. The restaurant is very true to New Orleans in cuisine. The menu isn't really up my alley but my cousin raved about it. One negative aspect was the lighting. I had to use my phone to read the menu and see what was on my plate. Other than that, I think it was a winner. The bar downstairs is lively, mature and the music is very mainstream but with the occasional throw-back that everyone seems to loves."

"Great time. It was alot better than I'd expected
I've been here for lunch previously and it was a bit quiet... at night IT IS TURNT UP! It was a bit loud, but I enjoyed the music that was playing so I didn't mind it that much. Just don't go into it thinking you're gonna have a quiet dinner (and why would you... it's a "Bar" and Grill)
Overalll the gumbo needs work, but the jambalaya and oyster poboy were on point. And you might get in a fight over the last hush puppie... those were amazing! The service was great! Which was a different experience during the aforementioned lunch. Plus they have Tabasco on deck... that's how you know they're legit.
Definitely recommend this spot!

"Great bar scene, excellent service but the food left a lot to be desired. I had the crawfish etouffe that was pretty good but others in my party were disappointed with the jambalaya and gumbo. We'll return for drinks but will pass on dinner next time."

"Service seemed inexperienced. When asked if the gumbo stock was made with shellfish I was told, "I'm not sure, you better stay away from that one." The food was pretty good but I don't think I would go back, there are so many great places in the area. I told the waitress that the water did not taste very good, maybe lemon and ice would be better, she took our water glasses and didn't bring us fresh water."

"What a great find for us on Restaurant Row! We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday before heading to the theatre, and had a great meal. Lots of fun cocktails to choose from, excellent gumbo and main courses were so delish! We will definitely return."

"I was really disappointed with this place. The appetizers were good but cold. The entree was cold and tasteless. Popeyes has better jambalaya. The crab cakes were the worst I've had. Never returning"

"The ambiance was great, had the look and feel of New Orleans. The Bar scene was lively with people stopping by after work to throw back a few. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with menu and drink selections throughout the night. We enjoyed all of the drinks we ordered and our appetizers very much! Unfortunately it wasn't the same for our entrees. We both said the same thing, that our entrees were extremely bland a Cajun restaurant. When we questioned our waitress she stated that they used to serve spicier food but guests complained that it was too spicy. Fair enough, but guests should have options. Will definitely go back to hit up the bar, but will probably pass on anything more than appetizers."

"We went there for Valentines Day. I have been there before with a group and wanted to bring my husband. We had reservations but I was kind of disappointed that we were seated in the bar area. I would much rather have been seated upstairs where it would have been more romantic. Mind you, the restaurant was not overcrowded. Overall the food was good but the service was average. I requested butter for my crawdaddys and was given a small bowl of unmelted butter. I had to ask again for the melted butter. I was just hoping for nicer atmosphere since it was a special dinner. Next time I will remember to request the upstairs room. A plus was the relatively inexpensive pre fixe menu and the drink specials!"

"We went for Sunday brunch, all plates are reasonable and delicious. Mine was outstanding, the Eggs over Jambalaya. The Jambalaya was perfect on spice, containing chicken, shrimp, crawfish, and sausage bites. Was ample and very good. The swiss and spinach omelette also looked good and was served with potatoes. We all got the unlimmited brunch drinks: Mimosa and quite spicy, Bloody Mary. The Mary's do contain a lot of horseraddish but they kept coming. Was a lively, happy place."
