"This was a double date night and wow did we have a great time. Our waiter Ben made the experience really feel special and I don't recall having a server that was so on point with everything like he was. From the drinks to the food to the friendly staff this was one fun evening. Our entire party talked about the evening the rest of the night."

"Got 3 apps from special bar menu that were perfect to share with girlfriends prior to a theater performance. Always great food and atmosphere. Bar tables are first come first served but reservation in restaurant may help. Enjoyable and they will validate your parking in Garage behind the Dunhill, so value add there..."

"The long-stem rose was an especially nice touch. The food was spectacular and my wife says this is now her favorite eggs benedict of all time. The filet was cooked to perfection and well appreciated by my son. The service was excellent but could have been a bit faster at times. Be sure to let the server know if you are in any way in a bit of a rush or be prepared to wait."

"We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch at Capitale Grill and greatly savored our meals. The food was delicious and they also offered appropriate kid choices, which I was afraid would not happen. The wait staff was attentive and the rose given to all the ladies was a nice touch. Would certainly consider going there for other special occasions."

"We had a reservation at Dresslers at 7PM. At 7:35, we still were not seated. We left and made a reservation on open table at the Capital Grille. They sat us immediately and even put heart confetti on the table because it was our anniversary. They saved the day! Dressler's didn't seem to care and we will never go there again."

"Clearly the best steakhouse in Charlotte. Very attentive staff and catered for every need. All the food was done to perfection. Reflected for in the price but good value for special occasion. Slight irritation when wait staff ask us if "is everything looks fantastic?" when we are just served and then "does everything taste fantastic?" when we have just started our meal. They do not really need to do this as it detracts form a great experience."

"My family and I went to Capital Grille for my birthday. Unfortunately, things just got worse by the minute. First, I ordered their signature drink, the Stoley Doley, and it was terrible. It's was supposed to have the color of pineapples, but it was clear. The appetizers were cold, our steaks were not cooked properly, AND the desserts weren't great either! Needless to say, I was very disappointed in the evening. I definitely will spend my money elsewhere for our next celebration!"

"Excellent dining choice, located across from the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Dinner prior to the show is a plus. This is our 2nd time choosing Capitol Grille before attending a show at the theater. The atmosphere is great whether you want to come causal or for a night of formal dining. Not only did we have a booth in a good location, we were celebrating my adult nephew's birthday, and there was confetti on table, his set up was centered across from us, & dessert. "This was an excellent dining experience!! My husband and I came here for our Anniversary, we decided to come for a late lunch. We were treated like royalty. Once the staff discovered it was our anniversary decorated the table with roses and confetti. They gave us an appetizer (calamari) and desert (chocolate cake) on them. "We were somewhat dissappointed with our latest visit to Capital Grille. While the food was good, it was not up to par with the other truly great steakhouses in Charlotte (Ruth's Chris, Del Frisco, Morton's). The service was very good, and the ambience is always great. My specific concern was that the tenderloin I had was not piping hot, and I would only give it a 7 out of 10 for flavor. The calamari is still the best in town, and the lobster bisque was very good, except that the lobster chunks need to be smaller so that you don't have to take them out of the soup to cut them into bite-size pieces. I attempted to cut them with a spoon in the cup, but that proved to be a really bad decision."

"My first time dining at Capital Grill was wonderful. We were celebrating a birthday and John our waiter recognized that and did such a great job at making us feel welcomed. In addition, Steve our waiter was knowlegable about ingredients to work around some food allergies in the group. A wonderful evening. The parking valet can be a bit of a challenge. "I have always had a good experience at Capital Grille, but something must have been off on Saturday night. It was my boyfriend's birthday and I wanted to do something special for him. However, the night turned out to be anything but. The calamari is always my favorite, but this time it was soggy, which was very unappetizing. The sides were both bland - creamed corn and mashed potatoes. He got the filet oscar and the "oscar" part of the steak was delicious, but the steak itself was bland. Our server was rarely to be seen and talked incredibly low, so it was hard to hear him. Also, no one came by after we cut into the steak to see how everything tasted. We saw the manager roaming the restaurant, but he never came by our table."

"The food and service were excellent. We were able to sit outside even though is was a bit chilly (had heaters if needed). The waitress was helpful in our wine and menu choices. We didn't have room for dessert so she brought us a serving of cheesecake for the road! I would recommend the Capital Grille to anyone who wants an excellent meal (we had Delmonico steak and the trout special, spinach salad and crab/lobster cakes for appetizer)and doesn't mind spending a bit - you definitely get a lot for what you pay but it is worth it!"

"We had a reservation for 7:15, we arrived about 7:05 and we were seated within minutes. wait staff brought iced water and steaming breads and butter immediately. Refills were available without asking. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. I think the favorite at the table was the lobster macaroni and cheese. That alone is worth a trip back!"

"Loved the atmosphere! It was my son's birthday which they recognized and provided a free dessert big enough for all to enjoy.

"food was excellent. the only thing I did not like is that the Delmonico steak has way too much fat for my taste. Crab cakes were amazing! and wine selection was really good. It did not gave the feeling of being crowded because there is enough space between tables."
