"My husband and I love coming to Capital Grille to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and "just cause" special dinners. They always make us feel special no matter what the occasion. The steaks are bar none, one if not THE best in Kansas City. They offer an extensive wine list and you cant pass up the lobster mac n cheese! One of our all time favorites!"

"Bar none, BEST brunch I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The food was absolutely amazing and worth the price. Tenderloin cooked to perfection, jumbo shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell, smoked salmon, baked salmon, creamy mashed potatoes, an array of delectable desserts...all so delicious.
Service was sub par. While our server was perky, (which actually came off as insincere) she was very inattentive. We continued to have empty beverage glasses (which really is disappointing for a Mother on Mother's day poised for few cocktails), empty plates (which at a brunch buffet is necessary to stay on top of). We were missing silverware, and it took a while to get our check. Too bad the poor service sullied our fabulous food experience!"

"All of the food items ordered were outstanding, Kona rubbed steak was the most flavorful steak I have ever had. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable, however there were long gaps in service starting with at least a 20 minute wait for him to arrive. I also stood in the bar area for at least 15 minutes waiting for the rest of my party to arrive, no service in there either. I have been here before and this lack of service was not noticed on those occasions."

I ordered a steak and lobster tail at market price and I received an undercooked steak and a small overcooked lobster tail sauteeed in their special house recipe. I expected a grilled or boiled lobster tail with butter on the side. Jenny the waitress was wonderful, I just expected a greater food quality."

"Food was very good and up to Capital standards, but the service was not. Our waiter was nice enough and had a good personality, but we waited far too long to be greeted, get drinks, and order. We brought a special bottle of wine from home, and halfway through the meal it was up to me to pour the wine. Water glasses also were empty far too often. Usually, the water/bus service at Capital is even better than the wait service, but not this time."

"Went for Valentines day, set up a table with a rose and heart deals, waters and fresh bread basket were brought quickly. Our server was extremely knowledgeable in wine and the mix drinks the bar offered(a huge help because I know nothing about wine). Brought us an extra appetizer in between our meal. We both had the dry aged steak(kc strip) and split mashed potatoes. I love a medium rare steak and finally a place that understands how to cook it. I also had a lobster bisque soup that was very delicious. Overall I would recommend this to anyone, but saying that this will not be a cheap dinner if you are trying to enjoy yourself."

"We had a reservation here for Valentine's Day; even with a reservation we still had to wait 20+ minutes for a table but I guess that's what happens on special occasions. Once we got seated we had amazing service. We had the filet (which was delicious) but after we were told by a friend the ribeye is the top choice--maybe next time."

"The meal was "heaven on a plate." Everything wad cooked to perfection. The lobster Crabcakes tasted as if they were flown in fresh that morning. The Steak Oscar featured a steak cooked exactly medium well with an amazing aroma of flavor. The fries in white truffle oil were the best I've ever had. The Lobster Mac was perfection. The Creme Broulet was the crowning finish to a perfect meal. The service was impeccable and surprisingly fast for as busy as the restaurant was. This is a definite must visit while in Kansas City."
