"This is a standard for fine dining in the Twin Cities--wonderful beef/fish/side dishes. Lobster Mac & Cheese is to die for. But the best part of the restaurant is the amazing professionalism of the wait staff--we always know we will be well-served. The bar is fun and we love the stoli doli cocktail! So glad this restaurant continues to thrive in Minneapolis."

"They made our anniversary very special. They had a table saved for us that had rose petals sprinkled across it! Everyone we came in contact with wished us a happy anniversary! We got the wedge salad- awesome. They were very generous with the bacon and the dressing was terrific. Then I got sliced filet with a fig sauce and mushrooms. The meat was perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed the sauce. It added a sweetness. My partner got the Filet Oscar whcih she couldn't stop raving about! The restaurant offerd us a glass of champagne or a dessert free in honor of our anniversary. We got the fresh berries and creme bule. Both were outstanding. The service was top notch. We were SO please with how they made our anniversary VERY special for us."

"Overall we had a positive experience except for when we were seated. It was 4:30 on Morher's Day. The restaurant was virtually empty. We had a reservation and we were well before the rush. Why did the hostess try to place us at the worst table in the house. It was basically in the kitchen. Of course we objected and were seated in one of the dozen other available tables but it shouldn't have been necessary."

"We went there to celebrate a graduation. It was everything we could have hoped for. The server was excellent. The salads, sides, soup, and of course of steak were wonderful. Definitely a great place for a special occasion. As far as higher end steakhouses it was very fair price as well. A memorable meal and experience we will not soon forget. Bravo."

"I read tge other reviews and im not sure which resauruant they others wrote about. I have been to many CG's and enjoy them a lot. However, the steaks here are not a good cut, over prepared and worse yet, very thin. This is twice that I've bought the $47 Porterhouse and the filet side was ruined. Staff was outstanding and I did not make a scene about it. If they get the food right. It will be a good place."

"To sum up my experience, excellent. A very good place for couples to go. We went during restaurant week during Feb 2013 and it was some of the best food, service, and experience I've had. Free valet parking, personalized service, and excellent food made it a great night. Our waitress gave us a discount on the wine, and substituted a desert item on the restaurant week menu for me. My aged sirloin with coffee rub was some of the best steak I've had thus far."

"Two of our party ordered the special which was medallions with Morel sauce ......The only reason I ordered the medallions was that I LOVE Morels.......There was not a single piece of Morel anywhere in the sauce.....That kind of false promotion turns me and many others off.....I will eat in the other area restaurants from now on....."

"The Capital Grille in Minneapolis has been a restaurant that I have frequented for both business and pleasure. Friday evening was pleasure and the Capital Grille had all my information correct. "The Capital Grille never disappoints! The food and service is always excellent. Our table was ready the moment we walked in the door. The restaurant was packed on a Friday night at 7:00 pm. Prices are on the high side but in our opinion, the quality received is always worth the price paid. The best steaks can always be found at Capital Grille. We return as often as we can! Highly recommend!"

"This is now our favorite restaurant in town. We went for our anniversary and we were treated like Royalty. The service was excellent, Chris Markey is an outstanding Waiter. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Everything was served in the most professional, yet relaxing manner. The atmosphere was very nice and not too noisy even though it was crowded, we could still carry on an intimate conversation. We felt at home from the time we arrived until we got into our car. We will be back!!"

"We had almost the exact same dinner we had at the Rosemont Illinois Capital Grille a week earlier. So that setup an interesting comparison for us, our last visit to this Capital Grille was just OK, so we were looking forward to the comparison.
The service here was no where near as good. Our waitress was slow to offer drinks and seemed preoccupied with other tables throughout the night. Our entree was ready before we finished our salad/soup.
The entree (Filets) were not as well seasoned our cooked as the Rosemont location. Mashed potatoes were better here and salads were slightly better.
Overall ambience wasn't as good, we had a very small corner table. Rosemont has nicer booths.
Wish this location was more consistent."
