"They are just re-opening and are currently under some construction. The menu was limited but they plan to expand when the construction is done. We had the chicken it was excellent, full of flavor and not boring. The desserts were not the highlight of the evening. In my opinion this area still needs some work. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. They were wonderful!!!!"

"Every time my wife and I go to Stowe we make sure we eat at Norma's at least once. The menu is always interesting, prepared wonderfully and taking advantage of local products. The service is among the best of any restaurant in which we've ever dined. Befitting an upscale ski resort, the clientele is a mix of locals out for a meal at the best place in town and vacationers who know where to go. Even with the current construction going on at Topnotch, it's worth the trip. We look forward to seeing the next incarnation of the restaurant after construction is done."

"We ate here two out of our three nights and one lunch during our visit to Stowe. The food, service, and ambiance made all visits special. The mussels, shrimp dumplings, crab cake, chopped salad, butterfish, beef short ribs, flatbread, and key lime pie were all terrific. The duck was not as good as we hoped, but everything else was delicious."

"This is our third time dinning at Norma's and our last visit which was Saturday evening February 9th was very disappointing. There was a young crowd of people at the Bar and they were extremely loud. This seemed to change the entire atmosphere of fine dinning. I ordered the chicken thighs and it was extremely salty and I was drinking water the entire night. My husband ordered the short ribs which were just alright. The desert was also disappointing the Berry Crumb was mushy and seeemed wet...All in all not a great experience probably will not be returning anytime soon."

"Food was good but I wouldn't go back unless the price dropped a bit. I thought it was overpriced for the portion and taste. I could definately go to another restaurant and get the same service with bigger portions and just as good food. I got the duck and my wife got the burger. The burger was huge but was just a burger, there was nothing special for $18. The duck was ok but needed a little something extra."

"Have been to Norma's before and the food never disappoints, just spectacular blend of intriguing flavors. Portions are perfect and not overwhelming. Wine list was good but not spectacular. Service was competent, but not a match for the quality of food being prepared by the Kitchen. We were disappointed by the atmosphere this time, the dining room is nice with a set of windows which would be improved by some outdoor lighting. Interior lighting was way too bright for the quality of the food being produced and the potential for this place to be something "special". My guess is that if the chef and kitchen were to move to a better location, their new restaurant would be full rather than mostly empty as Norma's was the night we were ther"

"While we ate only a light dinner at Norma's, there were many highlights, including the single barrel bourbon and single malt whiskey we began with. The local cheeses were beautifully presented with local crackers and chutney and were, happily, served at just the right temperature--not chilled--and were followed with Gathered Greens and ingeniously steamed mussels. The chocolate praline and espresso we ended with could not have been better. But the real highlight was the courtesy shown us by Tyler John, the food and beverage manager, who had a great explanation for why the sweet potato fries we had at lunch were perfectly cooked: you have to adjust the temperature to suit the high sugar content, a tip other restaurants should heed."
