"I have dined at Capital Grille more than once and would return. The Grille chopped salad is average so I recommend selecting a different one if you like salad. Philly location-service at the bar was average. Not bad but not great either."

"Food was good as at all capital grilles I have been too. Steak (Filet) prepared medium well twice incorrectly. I asked for medium to medium rare.
Service ok but a bit rushed.
Manager never came to apologize for the 2 errors with the steak. You would think with a bill of $280 for 2 people at least a sincere apology would have been offered.
I have been to 5 different Capital Grille Restaurants and this was the worst experience of all."

"Brought party of 7 for my sister's bday--5/6 steaks cooked perfectly, 1 mildly overdone. Sushi tuna--amazing and cooked perfectly. Had the delmonico and kona rubbed steaks--great choices. Service was polite, not overbearing, maybe a little slow. The restaurant is a lot darker than when it first opened back in 2001 or thereabouts and was "the place" to be seen. Desserts solid but not overwhelming. Appetizers of salads, chowder, crab salad were very good. Lobster crabcake--good. Valet parking was prompt and polite. You can't go wrong with this place--prices are a lot better than barclay prime, and the knives were nice and hefty to rip your steak apart. I'd put it on par with Ruth Chris and Mortons, and a tad below Butcher&Singer"

"I went last year to Capital Grille, and then came back this weekend as I had attended a fashion show downtown and wanted to treat my mom somewhere nice. The food is still so-so. The service is really what makes up for it, because for the prices they charge, I am never wowed here, nor do I feel like I will be back anytime soon. The calamari appetizer I ordered was not crispy enough, and while Calamari can have a chewy texture to it, most places I've had it at usually make it crispier and lighter. The lobster mac n cheese was very good! My mom's french onion soup was good, but she said the consistency of the cheese was such as they had used too much and it was just too thick to swallow. The food is decent,just not up to par for the place"

"Dined at CG on Saturday night- have dined at other Capital Grill restaurants and the experience was superb!
Experience was not positive-so many misses here.
No one replenished the forks and spoons that allowed us to eat our meal- we had to "grab" someone walking past our table to ask for a utensil-happened more than once.
We ordered baked potatoes-were delivered with our meal- with no toppings.After 10 mins, the server returned to the table and when the toppings were requested, promptly brought them. By this time the baked potatoes were cold.Does anyone eat a baked potato with no toppings? Should not the server- ask about toppings when ordering the item, or just bring them to the table? Never refreshed coffee. Never going back."

"The service is what really makes this restaurant stand out. Ryan, our waiter, was an absolute professional. He knew his menu, from food to wines, and he was competent at providing suggestions to us. And at the same time, he was very approachable and conversational. The food was great: steaks were prepared to order, and absolutely delicious.
I also loved that the nutritional values are listed on the menu as well. Makes it MUCH easier to make good choices at a "splurge" restaurant.
Overall, a very lovely dining experience."

"Each of our party of four had a different steak, and they were all delicious, as were the wonderfully prepared side dishes, particularly the Parmesan fries. The service was excellent, and, as requested, they gave us a quiet table in the corner. My only suggestion would be to serve the chocolate hazelnut cake at room temperature rather than chilled, since the icing was rather hard, and not as flavorful as when an hour later I revisited the leftover cake at home."

"I have been a big fan of the Capital Grill for many years. I have hosted several large parites with them as well as gather with small groups for dinner and cocktails. This was a small group for my birthday. The food was the worst I have had at CG, and this was true for 3 of the 5 guests. I believe they have lowered their standards of service and quality and will likely not return. Quite a shame. this used to be a nice place."

"I have eaten at the Capital Grille many times before both at this location and others, but this time the experience was disappointing. My steak was not properly prepared and was a very poor cut for the $43 price. As the centerpiece of my meal, this really let me down. The remainder of the meal was fair, but not what I expected. With so many other choices at this price point in very close proximity, next time we will go somewhere else to celebrate a special ocacssion."

"Overall we had a very nice evening, however there were a few hiccups. All of our steaks came out a bit more cooked than we had anticipated, and My sister-in-law fond a metal twist tie in her salad, and while the waiter handled it very well in the moment, we were surprised to see that the salad had not been taken off of the bill at the end of the evening."

"We went to the Capital Grille to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday. Our server was exceptional and provided excellent customer service. He was attentive and very knowledgable about the menu, recommending several main course selections and an excellent bottle of wine. To top off the evening, he volunteered to take our picture and presented my family with a card that displayed the photo beautifully. All in all, a wonderful evening and a memorable birthday celebration for my sister!"

"We tried Capital Grille for a change. we are big fans of a competitor. We both ordered filet - medium. Steaks were excellent quality but very overcooked - medium well and well.We considered sending them back but we just did not feel like it. I am sure they would have provided properly cooked steaks - but it always throws off your whole meal - the rest of which has already arrived. Waitstaff was superior."
