Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
Enjoy a beachside, refined dining experience overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean and famous Malibu Pier. Located on exclusive Billionaires' Carbon Beach in Malibu.
"Mothers day brunch. Extensively over priced at $65 per person. Food was poor quality for price. Server very slow and forgot to bring strawberries and other assorted fruit which was included on menu. Coffee was fair with hard to get refills. We were expecting a blow away meal, instead got a less than "Denny's type" breakfast/brunch. Will never come here again. Wish we could get a refund for our party of 4"

Review 2 for Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
"The food is very good. Steaks are well prepared. Fish well selected and prepared. very much worthy of fine dining. Eating outside at sunset is very nice as you can have a sweeping panorama of the Pacific and the coast. However, it can get cold and the heat lamps and firepits are a spotty affair. Dress appropriately. Also when it gets busy you really feel it because the restaurant packs the tables way too close. As for the crowd, its a matter of taste. It skews older (no problem there) but you do get your share of attention-starved Hollywood types trying to talk to the whole place instead of just their dining companions. If you get it on the right night though, not too busy, Carbon Beach Club can be a spectacular and romantic experience."

Review 3 for Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
"We very much enjoyed the scenic view with dinner. Traffic on the Pacific Coast Highway coming up from the Venice Beach area on a Saturday night was a challenge (an hour for the 13 mile drive).Parking options include valets, but the beach parking lot adjacent to the restaurant had ample vacancies for $10. The bonus was the sighting of several dolphins and a whale not far from shore. The food was delicious w/conservative portions and the tab for two (appetizers,1 drink each, entrees, and desserts) was $155. The chill of the ocean breeze on the deck in mid-April deterred us from lingering, despite the heaters provided. Some local patrons at a nearby table proclaimed this the best restaurant of its kind in the area."

Review 8 for Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
"The outside view was great. Breakfast was good but not anything special other than the eggs Benedict over crab cakes. Real potatoes and authentic cooking was expected. The mimosas were good but $16 a mimosa is alot to charge. It was all about the view for me."

Review 10 for Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
"Carbon Beach has a great view. That is the only good thing I can say about it. The wine list is very limited and the three different wines we tried were mediocre at best. However, that was a much better experience than the food. The food was awful. It was cold, boring and certainly not worth the price. I took some out of town guests there based on the high ratings it had received on this site and I will never, never do that again. I do not recommend it under any circumstances. It has a great view but the pleasure of that is greatly diminished by the lousy food."

Review 11 for Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
"This dining experience was wonderful; even though it rained on the patio during our Easter brunch. We found a nice cozy place by the fireplace & finished our dessert. For the prix fixe menu I had the anything but traditional deviled eggs, eggs benedict and the spicy chocolate cake. Everything was delicious but the beauty of the ocean & the service are the standouts."

Review 15 for Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
"Great food. Great service. But you you have to sit outside. The indoor door dining room is small and anti-climactic vs the Sitting on the patio at the oceans edge.
Very nice staff not snobby at all very welcoming and friendly.
Took my girlfriend for her birthday and we had a cozy evening but had to Sit inside as the one table available outside had no heater and it wAs too cold.
Geoffrey's has much more dramatic views but we have dined there Many times before and wanted to try Something new.
All in all it was very nice. It's small but charming."

Review 17 for Carbon Beach Club Restaurant (The Dining Room) @ Malibu Beach Inn
"The fabulous view cannot be beat!! Every table outside has an unobstructed view of the ocean. I had lunch with my girlfriends, but certainly could imagine a romantic dinner here. We sat outside and it happened to be a glorious weather day, which made the experience amazing. We never felt rushed and the staff was great. It would be a great place to take out of town guests. I will definitely be back. The only negative for me was that even though I mentioned my friend's birthday when I made the reservation, and to the server as well, there was no birthday recognition."

"On the water with little sandpipers skidding along just below, the stars out and bright and delicious food, this place deserves its first place spot on Trip Advisor. Only negative: the portions are a tad too big."
